They do for every post, not just one in particular.

Does it really matter? My point still stands.
CG was an afterthought in football to WC and BD at the turn of the century...then started winning their fair share against the two...and now are dominating them so badly they are running to play Fort Wayne teams and out of state teams.
Its absolutely hysterical.
(By the way, you are way too gullible when it comes to "coach speak.")
Things will come back around. They always do.
CG has beaten everyone the past few years badly. Both Warren and Ben Davis have a full cupboard of players moving forward.
I’m confident that the MIC will win another title before the HCC. I’m also confident Carmel will win another title before CG.
Finally, BD and CG are only on a 1-year hiatus so BD could have the opportunity to play IMG. I’d have taken that every single time I’m offered because the gate will be massive with all the interest.

Lemme first start by saying I’m not a huge fan of court storming. It’s not a mountain or hill I’m willing to die on but it’s a slippery slope when you mix fans, players and coaches.
That being said, this looks calculated. Osborn has the wherewithal to guide his players and keep them out of harms way yet then charges right through the crowd students immediately thereafter. It’s almost like he was looking for trouble.
Both parties share some of the blame but we should hold a leader of young people/adult to a higher standard.
Just my opinion…
(Oh, and one more…)
This decision comes across as weak as hell from Carmel.
I’d agree with everything you said, except do we actually know that this is the reason Carmel is dropping CG? I would say no.
In my personal opinion, it says more about Center Grove that all MIC schools and now Carmel have alienated them.

CG loses Carmel but picks up Lakewood (OH) St. Edward.
Carmel loses CG and picks up ?
Regardless, advantage CG.
How?
CG currently has 4 open dates they’re struggling to fill. Carmel has 1.

Every time Warren/BD change coaches, they fall farther and farther behind CG.
In the time Eric Moore has been at CG, Warren has had 7 head coaches and BD has had 4, now 5 (assuming Moore comes back this fall.)
Nothing to see here.
I have to stand behind what I said, regardless. Can’t back down now.
I picked Cathedral in 2022 with CG as my #2.
i said 2023 is the year of the Giant, in both basketball and football.

So is Carmel now attempting to distance itself from CG, prompting a move back to the MIC?
(Worth thinking about...)
Also, are they (and others) attempting to paint a picture that CG has a culture problem or are these isolated incidents that are coincidental?
Based on my dealings with CG, I have no issue with ever having to travel out there any longer. My kid is graduated now, but I still enjoy going to the games when possibly.

What about Bloomington North and South, Columbus East and North, Southport, and One more add to the Mid-State to create a 14 team mega conference. Create big school and small school divisions.
I wouldn’t be opposed to this, but I’m not the decision maker either.

Ben Davis has a plethora of talent returning in 2023. Jason Simmons is leaving for Miami Ohio to become the running backs coach, which is his alma mater.

Conference Indiana is stuck. Terre Hautes make it difficult and they really do not have a true place. Bloomingtons and Columbus North need to find a true home.
Southport can’t be too happy that their conference foes consist of Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Columbus North, TH North and TH South.
Southport isn’t good enough for the MIC, but I just can’t see them fitting into the Mid-States. This might seem crazy, but Southport should replace Tech in the NCC.

If true, this is Coach Simmons' alma mater. He played there under Terry Hoeppner.
I am so thrilled for coach. He's truly a great man who has such a big heart. He cares about his players very much, and they absolutely love him. I know this is being really taken very hard by the players in the BD program, but I think they understand that this was an opportunity that Coach Simmons couldn't pass up. Now, we'll see who's up next at BD. Cupboard is loaded for a deep run into the state tournament. I would assume this will attract some big name applicants as well as those who served as assistants back to Dick Dullaghan's era.
You’re not wrong. Between basketball and football at BD, fans on the west side have much to be excited about.

I agree, this is a great match up. Unlike the 50 burger that IMG is going to beat Ben Davis by. I respect Ben Davis for playing IMG but it’s going to be over by the end of the 1st quarter.
Ben Davis returns a large majority of their team. They might get walloped still, but BD should be very excited about its program.

Not insinuating anything. Asking HIM to elaborate on his comments. I wasn’t clear as to what he meant. I’m sure Mr. Inskeep is a great guy. How does that factor into 6 high schools deciding the state largest high school be admitted into their conference?
Sorry. My mistake.
I do know for a fact that the MIC schools do enjoy the relationship they have with Carmel, but understand that, beyond football and basketball, Carmel dominates the relationship. Let’s also face the fact that Carmel has dominated these two sports recently as well. The MIC could still wind up winning multiple state titles this school year without Carmel or CG in the conference.

…..CG admin lacks class?
so administrators make decisions on admitting a school to a conference if they like one AD over another?
Thanks for elaborating
I don’t believe any of what you’re insinuating was mentioned.

Jennings County is having one hell of a winter in both boys and girls basketball and those games were nail biters. I’m sure they don’t travel any worse than BD, Pike, LC, LN or Warren. Weird attempted flex.
Simply put, if Carmel were welcomed back it’d legitimize the conference. Right now most of the “MIC 6” are boasting conference championships in sports they wouldn’t have were Carmel/CG still members.
That’s not a flex.
I’m saying that most students have no clue who Jennings County is and will ultimately get bored playing them. It might be great for 2023, but they won’t sustain success and the students (players and patrons) will lose interest.

Is there an article to verify this? I think IMG isn't apart of the FHSAA...I think that would make them ineligible to compete against BD. Could be wrong.
It has been posted by BD Football and Kyle Neddenriep of the Star on Twitter. No article, but that comes directly from the source.

Anyone know who the HC of IMG is these days? I had heard recently on a podcast it was Kyle Brey, son of ND bb coach Mike Brey, who played at Penn HS some years back.
This is correct.

Center Grove realizing it’s harder to fill that football schedule than they imagined.
I’m sure their fans are having a blast playing Jennings County in a big rivalry match in basketball on a Friday.
17 hours ago, Indiana Fan said:I also would love to know which MIC schools truly do not want CG and Carmel and which ones are open for them coming back. To me it still seems pretty silly for those schools to kick them out and then want to continue playing them. Kind of a weak outlook to me.
This is about more than football and basketball. It’s no secret that MOST MIC schools do not compete well against CG and Carmel in the country club sports.
I firmly believe that Carmel would be welcomed back, regardless of the butt kicking they might take in certain sports.

Ben Davis will bring in national power IMG Academy on September 8, replacing Center Grove on their 2023 schedule.
BD has a loaded roster this upcoming year, but IMG will be an incredible challenge.

Is Andy Elkins still the AD up there?
Yes.
This is an excellent hire. O’Shea simply never had to put time into feeder programs and it showed over his tenure. Kankakee is similar in demographics to North Central.

A sign that we aren't spending money on new jerseys until we need to.
That’s fine, however, the MIC was dogged for keeping Carmel and Center Grove logos on the spring sports trophies this past year. Not your fault obviously.

Carmel Drops CG!

Or maybe Center Grove could stop being a school full of racism. You ever stop to think why MULTIPLE schools don’t want to play you in sports and why a Superintendent at another district threatened the AD that she would not let her son travel to Center Grove for sporting events due to repeated racist attacks?
Your comment just proves why now SEVEN schools have dropped Center Grove in at least one sport over the last three years.
