As most know STC will and can compete, the"Pocket" is not as good as the EIAC!

Stink, as much as we agree on with the BL's and all, This one I will agree to disagree. Regardless of the results of this game, Just remember, you are playing a 2A team from the PAC. We are very very fast, and those on the team that cant run around you, will run right through you. Hope your Tigers are well conditioned because they will be running their tails off come Saturday!

  2. It is just very hard for people to understand that some schools have very good/successful high school football programs. The better your coach/program, the more wins you get. The more wins you get, the more people want to be apart of that program. Kids want to be apart of successful programs.

If your band is constantly winning/going to state, odds are they are going to have more kids join band. I am not saying Linton isn't a successful program (because that would be a lie), they just aren't as successful in 2A. "there is no chance we can win sectional, why should we even play"

Mater Dei has a legitimate shot to represent the south half of Indiana every single year. That looming in their student body probably makes kids think "I want to be apart of that"

  3. This is tough to figure out exactly how this game will go. My gut says Southridge should have no problem in this one, but it is so hard to tell with no common opponents and Salem winning 7 straight including a team they lost to earlier this year. This appears to be Salem's first Sectional Championship round matchup since 2001.

All things considered, you cannot overlook anyone in a sectional championship game.

Poor Titans....no chance it seems in 32.

All this thread sees is records. I believe GS has a very good chance at representing the south at Lucas. It is not an easy task to beat a Nick Hart team twice in one season. I do believe Southridge is the better all around team than GS, but not by 20 pts. This Friday will be a dogfight between the two.

Am I the only one that’s thrown out any predictions? Come on now, Miner_Pride has wrote a few novels already about LS but no guesses for this weekend. I like that this thread has picked up some, but where are the meat and potatoes? I haven’t seen this much talk on Tell City since my dad proclaimed Tell City pretzels were the best thing since Thunder on the Ohio and Miss Budweiser.

    Ask and you shall receive:

NP vs MD in the Championship.
    MD will win yet again.

Not much competition in this sectional for them until Southridge returns. I would love for one of the other teams to prove me wrong, but from what I see, "It is what it is"

While SR is insanely quick at a bunch of positions and Kippenbrock is a tank that begs you to try and tackle him, I am going with GS for the upset and to go on and win 32.

I'm hoping to find my way over to Huntingburg Friday night.  Is Southridge continuing with the same rules?  Allowing lots of people?  Selling tickets at the gate or no?

I could be wrong, but I think things have changed. I believe it is immediate family only.

I'm hearing bad news from TC, will have some of the starters back from last week but also are losing additional players. Don't know details but heard it could have a impact on the game this week...

Extremely unfortunate if that is indeed the case. I really do feel that they are capable of knocking off MD and making a deep run in this tournament if healthy. Hopefully, what you are hearing has no truth to it.

  8. Congrats to Southridge who just finished their first Undefeated Regular Season in school history. Crazy to think that it is just the first time with a successful program like Southridge.

They have a tough Sectional 32 ahead of them with teams like Mt. Vernon (Posey), and Gibson Southern standing in the way of another deep tournament run.

After 2 seasons in 3A due to the success factor, Southridge will be back in 2A next year for the 2021 Season.

Public School can also accept out of boundary students if Family pays tuition.   Most Public schools are open I believe.

So is it really an advantage?

I am a little confused then. Why is former Forest Park standout Curt Hopf being punished for transferring to Barr Reeve for Basketball? Would he have been punished if it was a transfer to a private school?

Agree and disagree with the blown off the ball thing.  Offensively he was blowing kids up, and that's a young kids mind set offensively I think, be aggressive and re-establish a new line of scrimmage.  Conversely, for what ever reason defensively I think lineman (him) sometimes stand up and try and find the football, which leads to being blocked easier (blown off the ball), coupled with he was getting double teamed every play.

You must remember one of those commentators was a pro Danville guy, everyone was getting blown off the ball, or hit hard, or obviously being held by HH, anything that made Danville look good.

Yes! i completely agree. and that is exactly what I saw. Offense is where he will be in college if/when he plays.

Chatard HH would be the complete opposite of a good matchup!

Danville Chatard at LOS would be the matchup all fans want to see!

And tonight we look to deliver that matchup, and begin giving those pathetic trojans nightmares!

What "Fans"?? You seem to be about the only one on here... I wouldn't be surprised if HH has more FANS tonight at YOUR home game 3 hours away.
