I see this as a 50-14 type of score in favor of the Wolfs. I think the SV offense is good enough to score a couple of early touchdowns, but the Juggernaut offense of the Wolfs won't be slowed down now that SV is without their best player. I still can't believe Shew had his knee blown out because of a blatant cheap shot.

I think the Wolfs are a better team than Linton which means Attica is also really good. Was the WRC championship decided Friday night in the game between the Wolfs and the River Ewes? That may be the case.

Attica rushes for 250 yards. Linton would rush for 500.

2.5 weeks for the WRC TITLE

    SV????

NV 72 Riverton 0 (will Woody Hayes pound Riverton for the cheap shot on county little sister?)

    Attica 42-FC 0

    Parke Heritage 60 EG 6

    ramblers vs wolves breakdown:

    Wolves offense

-Logan White was 23-27 with 2 interceptions and 225 yards. Wolves ran for 250 yards on the ground  more failed 2 pt conversions. Attica refuses to give up the deep ball, 5 man box and man coverage with corners and OLB 10-12 yards off with 2 high safeties. First drove wolves threw 7 hitched down the field over and over and then tried a deep ball into triple coverage for interception 1. Same thing happened on interception number 2, we dunk and dink all the way down the field and then want to throw a long ball in triple Coverage for another pick. Great pass protection. Run game looked a lot better as I said we rushed for close to 250 yards on the ground. We seemed to not break any tackles for big scores like we have the previous 3 games. That’s credit to the grit and strength of the ramblers.

    defensively for wolves

-I’m not sure we gave up a single pass completion but somehow gave up 270 yards for the game on the ground. My son said kids not lined up in correct spot and not tackling. Hope this gets fixed before NV. NUMBER 4 for ramblers is a stud, he’s a one man show on the offense.

    special teams for wolves

-longest streak of no games with a KR OR PR for a TD. new kicker Hanks had 2 kickoffs, one for a touchback and one landed on the 5 since ramblers were lined up for the onside all night.

    Officials**

-wolves had 105 yards in penalties, ramblers had 95.

-Moore had a sideline warning and eventually a flag 25 yards away from line of scrimmage. Ramblers coaches got a flag. Multiple flags on both teams for unsportsmanlike. Ramblers got 4 flags for 4 illegal “high-lows” or chop blocks.

Worst officiated game I have ever seen, unsafe and out of control, and I’ve watched WRC football for a long long time.

    Rankings

    1. NV

    2. WOLVES

    3. RAMBLERS

    4. SV

    5.  TROJANS

  3. Never once did I say Attica didn’t deserve credit. I would also say they didn’t play well either. I believe they were averaging 40 plus ppg. I would assume they are not pleased with their offensive production either. But if we are going by points scored then I guess the Wolves played a heck of a defensive game and that should worry other teams.

Also if you read through any of my post I have never stated that this the best offense in WRC history. Yes other posters have. I said many times the wolves have a lot to work on and are not even the favorites to win conference or sectionals.

People wonder why posters stop participating in the forum.

Linton came on the field.. by the look of the numbers they could field 3 teams very impressive. No shortage of players from Linton! Ive got to say the Miners have a real solid team.. they have the ability to adapt to the situation very well. And the guys helping from the press box  can get annoying but are a great asset to the Miners combined attack. They were giving great insight to what players where screwing up and who to watch. Let's just say they know the game the team and Coach Oliver is very lucky to have them up there.

Both teams came out tough and was beginning to think this may be #2 the Falcons take from the Miners but late in the 3rd and 4th realization set in and started thinking if the Falcons played as hard and didnt give up against A #7 ranked 2A team like the Miners it's going to be a great year and playing Thanksgiving weekend agian. The Miners also have have a good chance of playing on that weekend with so many options of attack I'm surprised they are not 4-0 on the season. In all aspect The battle between both teams was great.. it was a hard faught ballgame and the Falcons found out what they could do against a great team.

Are you saying since NV played a good team and were behind the kids gave up In the 3rd and 4th quarter?  😂😂

  5. Yep, they played bad,  Like I said both teams played sloppy. A lot of flags on the ground tonight. Hell maybe we played a good game. Held a team that was averaging 40 plus points a game to 6 points.

Were able to run for over 250 yards on a good defensive team. Maybe that shows the wolves are not just a one  dimensional team.

I take it back. We got a Win so we played good.

  6. My son showed me the dirty hit this morning on SHEW** from south Vermillion. Unbelievable is all I have to say.

Is it true that the Wolfs are considering dropping out of the WRC due to potentially playing a regular season opponent again in the tournament?

Probably, yes. Take the falcons off and give us back dugger

How does PH youth programs look at the moment?

There hasn’t been a real program until this year, in years past they took teams to the boys and girls club and last year played in the WRC league with borrowed equipment from SV. Bill Bettis told me there’s 49 kids from grades 3-6 playing. All running Moore’s offense.  Will be great for the program. I know it’s been a long process to get it started. I believe they play their first game this weekend. I’ve been to many baseball and basketball games for these young kids and there are some athletes, I’m pretty impressed! Middle school won last night 50-6 at Attica I believe.

All I’ve heard is that they barely have enough to field a JH team?  I don’t know if they’re any good or not, but heard their numbers are low.!!

7/8th don’t have enough for 2 teams but have 17 kids I believe.

  8. Once again. Some of these new posters tend to praise the wolves in only a fashion that would make one think they are giving woody Hayes and other coaches bulletin board approval. Miner pride, don’t take it literal.

The best offense in WRC history? Where the he\\ do you guys come up with this

We have played teams teams with a combined record of 1-8. We score at will against weak opponents. If we beat Attica by 40+ I’ll be impressed.

My son is a player and I don’t even say some of this stuff, hints why I would say you are doing it in a detrimental way to the wolves.

I was told that we thought we could play Linton In the state tourney if they stayed 1A and didn’t want to play them twice a year(if we can beat falcons in tourney, idk if we can!). Seems silly to me but I don’t think it was Moore’s decision.

I think the days of scoring 65+ are over with this running clock BS. I hate it, if both teams agree then that’s one thing. The wolves have been running clock before the second half twice. The varsity kids should get their chance to play atleast 2.5 quarters??? What’s everyone else’s opinion?

Wolves are getting better but let’s not make bulletin board material for other kids, unless that’s your intentions of course.

The only thing the Wolfs were missing last year when I saw them play was a consistent running game and ability to stop the run on defense. If they can fix those issues, they will roll everyone they play and go 15-0. I have to think that the Wolfs offense is the best in the history of the WRC. I don't see them being tested until maybe semistate. I also heard that it was a cheapshot that blew SV's best player's knee out. Cutting people on a kick-off??? It's been the talk of the WRC fans/players/coaches/athletic directors the last few days. The film is being passed around from player to player, school to school.

LOL the wolves aren’t even sectional favorites. They have played teams with a record of 1-8 I believe. Lutheran in regional right?

Panthers did same to Austin Petrillo last year on a kickoff 25 yards away from play. He never went back in the rest of night. Typical Riverton Parke tactics. Have always been , and always will be the little brother in Parke County. Hope the falcons and wolves put up 120 if that’s how they play.

  10. PH vs NC

The wolves only ran 35 total plays and scored 50. Would like to see us run the ball a little moore, pun intended! White has over 1000 yards already after 3 games and our receivers seem to score at will. The fastest paced offense I’ve ever seen but also had 3 flags for guys not being set.  Looked better defensively with guys making big plays all over. North Central is bad. Real bad so that is what it is. Wolves first game without recovering an onside.

My son said Moore is fired up after losing to them in the sectional and is tired of being a “finesse team.” Can he get a ground attack going?

    This week:

PH 56-7......Moore takes out his frustration from last year and establishes a run game. Can #4 be stopped for ramblers?

Linton 28-20......Miners griddy D Stops the falcons passing game.

seeger 22-12........be a boring game lol

Covington 40-7.....brown takes our frustration on the weak mustangs

Sv? Know nothing about Marshall, heard their best player was hurt on cheap shot?

Teams who are disciplined on defense. If I remember correctly Parke Heritage was putting up the same numbers last year until they started playing teams who have discipline on the defensive side of the ball. Now I’m no thunder chicken but I know north central graduated some dudes last year. This year, the wolves will have their way with them.

Last year the wolves were offensively lucky. Nobody knew what they were doing. Moore struggled to get plays in.

This year has been different. They are faster, smarter, bigger and stronger than last year, they have the offense down.  Moore is yelling plays before the last play was over. When they are in sync, they go stupid fast. Could have scored 80 vs Seeger and another 30 va Trojans in the fourth. They are much improved and better on the offensive line as well. The entire offense Still a long way to go. But they are better than last year by 100%.

My son said when they watch film they can’t believe how bad they were last year and how much they have learned.

So I guess comparing scores to last year doesn’t mean much to me. Covington seemed like a disciplined sound defense in my book.

I would say a lot of these new posters aren’t from PH but love making bulletin board material for woody hayes and Barrett.
