Winning a conference championship is pathetic? How so?
That’s not pathetic, if that labels your season a success then that is.

Being one of the very largest 2A schools, having D1 athletes, and a coach like Barrett.....and it’s a success to win the WRC in its weakest year in the last 15 years, by a single touchdown.
Hopefully Barrett is pushing for more, your kids and community deserve it, and so does his legacy. Ask woody Hayes, Brian Moore, or Herb King if winning a conference title Is a success if you don’t win a sectional.
good grief.
does Sv stand a chance in the sectional? Who are they in with?

I agree, Kevin! Yes, we would consider this a success without a sectional. Winning the WRC in Football has been a good accomplishment for a lot of teams over the years!
How pathetic.

Yes I was told how upset they were as well.

So if I understand this right. A couple of guys want to see the Woofs and South Putnams beat the hell out of a team that is close to shutting down their program because of games in the past? You know none of the players and even the coach aren’t there anymore, even the band director is gone I swear to God he is! I think some of the chain gang is still there. You guys still mad at Josh Smith too?
For the record everyone was beating Turkey Runs pretty bad including RP.
No, not in the slightest. But after beating teams by so many for many years, it’s their time to be on the other end unfortunately. It won’t let me sleep any better if they get beat by 7 or 70 but they shouldn’t be able to dodge the top teams.
Teams didn’t mind to give John Batty and those kids the whippins that Herb set up for him after beatings teams by more than enough. He didn’t have Covid to be his scapegoat though.
Before one of you say “the wolves passed up on a good opponent”, I went directly to the horses mouth and asked point blank why the wolves didn’t play week 1 and theres 2 sides to every story, so save that argument.
on a side note, the mercy running clock rule seems to really help these situations and keeps kids healthy.
I said I wasn’t going to post after I had no Connections to any teams And leave it to my friends that still do, but here I am lol- 1

If that makes you feel better
Won’t make me feel better but look at their past games the last 5 years. 60-70+ to nothing multiple times, then you don’t play a single decent team. They were beating turkey run teams with 13 kids. Was hoping falcons could win that one.

I don’t know.
So if one player was out that leaves 4 on the sideline.
Maybe ask someone from Attica? They beat Rockville 65-7 the last year before we consolidated. Their turn.

I agree let your playmakers do their thing but you need at least a threat of a running gameThey have a run game, can anyone find what they rushed for last night? Had to be close to 250 yards. From what max preps said they had 11 rushing TD and 19 passing TD through the first 4 games And rush for around 130 yards a game. It’s 60% -30% but why run that much if you have Johnson and company.
Can anyone truly say after watching that game that you don’t think he is the best QB in the conference? He stepped into some big shoes and has done a hell of a job after White graduated. Wolves do some fun stuff offensively, ran things last night I’ve never seen. That last play was a dandy.
Wolves were lucky last year that Shew was injured. Best player in the WRC, hope he has success at the next level. walked past me at halftime and that’s a big boy.
Wildcats had 3 unsportsmanlike and 4 or 5 face masks, I didn’t know if that was the passion from the game or they were playing a little dirty, but from what I read on Facebook, Barett really praised the wolves after the game so I don’t believe that’s the way they were coached. He’s getting things turned around in Clinton but I’m not sure the turnout would be the same without #29. Cant believe how impressive he was.
Will Moore finally beat crabtree?
They scored at will in two great NV games last year and then scored at will last night. Only punting once in those 3 “big games” combined. They have had the offense to go to the big dance but get out scored against good teams with good coaches.

I am blaming it on a few things: 1. NV is terrible and they are afraid to speak on any subject at the present time. 2. Nobody likes the D1’s and the Wolfs so it is not any fun talking about them and their high octaned offenses. 3. Obviously the Wolfs fans that were on here were parents/relatives of kids who graduated last year...hence nothing in the fight now. 4. Lack of competitive teams/games in the WRC. That is probably the most logical reason. If you can get the Covids from typing on a computer or phone then I am out!
NV fans don’t say much when they are down. (What is there to say, don’t blame them?) SV is the new JUGGERNAUT BUT IM Still here, just reading and enjoying. I don’t have the insight that I had previously but pretty surprised the Wolves haven’t slowed down a beat offensively especially after losing an Indiana All Star and a 2 time all state QB.
From Simmler on news 10 posts Johnson has 14 touchdowns And almost 1k yards in 2 games. Impressive?
If the Wildcats have 3 D1 players, they should have the best WRC in the history of WRC football and should beat PH by 50+. 🙄🙄🙄
Glad Barrett’s latest alleged antics have led him to take top notch for the the most hated coach in the WRC to give the hall of famer a break!

1. Why will Attica not field a team? Are you being facetious? Coach Good seems to have a very consistent program?
2. Why no mention of Fountain Central? Mustangs had an uncharacteristic down year but seem to have had few senior losses.
1. Attica has barely had a team to field the last 6 seasons. They had no junior high team and no youth teams in grades k-6. I’m not sure they will have a team and their coach has had such success I see him getting a bigger job with more than 15 players.
2. I honesty forgot FC, they can’t get worse than they were this year! Hopefully they get back on track!

he was listed as a junior this year by error. He was HM all state last season as well as a freshman. I’m not sure how to final end of year stats but for the first 12 weeks he led entire state in receiving yards.

Would not surprise me at all. I've said since last year he was clearly our best player. Plays with great instincts and never seems to be out of position. And the bigger the game, the bigger impact he seems to have.
Watched Hook play his last 3 games online and he was the best player I’ve seen all year in Indiana. Absolute freak, his motor didn’t compare to anyone else’s that I saw. He will be playing on Sundays! He should be Mr.Football.

Parke Heritage loses 2 all state players in Austin Petrillo and Logan white. Wolves return their top 2 receivers including all state sophomore Noble Johnson and 4 out of 5 starting lineman. Freshman Christian Johnson will be starting next year at the QB position as a sophomore and I had a hall of fame coach tell me he could be the best QB hes ever had. Especially after being behind Logan White for a year. Wolves will continue to grow but I think they are going to have another good* year
Other WRC schools:
Will attica even have a team?
North Vermillion will be tough as usual.
Covington will struggle.
Riverton Parke will be horrendous.
-
I knew Lutheran would score points but I thought nv would keep it close.
I listened on radio and radio commentator said Lutherans smallest lineman was 230. Multiple kids 6’2 OR 6’3 265+. A freshman 6’3 220 lbs starting on d line and his name was called a lot! Wow
Great way to rep the WRC FALCONS!
Will post about who wolves have returning after season if there’s a WRC thread.
Enjoy the holidays.

Yeah.... i agree...and WRC logic escapes me....... now its ....Linton = Powerhouse .... wasn't it?.... ...Linton 20 EMD 44....
Name a better1A conference?????
Linton has had had a great program for a long long time. If they stayed 1A they would win the whole thing.
-
I’m agreeing with NV FANS. HOLY $#!t I may have a fever lol
-
Falcons pull off a close one here. Country boys have more grit than the city boys. Lol.
I said many weeks ago whoever wins sectional 45 would win the state title. Parke Heritage or North Vermillion.
NV is battle tested with a good game against powerhouse Linton and beating the best offense in 1A in Parke Heritage not once but twice.
NV 35-28

Who makes the call to play no safety in the 4th quarter, up by 5 when the other team has the ball with only 1 timeout?? What did the Wolfs think the Falcons were going to do? If there was 3 minutes on the clock I would have expected the Falcons to run a little more, but there was under 2 minutes and they had to drive almost the entire length of the field. The Wolfs loss last night is entirely at the hands of their coaching staff. They had a Sectional Championship all but in the bag, and out-coached themselves with poor game management.
Were you at game? Wolves had a 3 man rush on that last drive and dropped 8. Lol They didn’t make the plays falcons did.

Outside help for a coach that makes 75k?!?! Maybe oldbleacherfan can give some insight?
Not sure who or what you’re talking about outside help? I’m not going to ask my son about it either. The only time you seem to post is when you make shots at Brian Moore. I’m grateful my son played 2 years for him, as NV parents are for Crabtree, and all other WRC coaches as a whole.
What I do know is that my son and his friends are devastated after the most dramatic loss I’ve ever seen in my 45 years of watching/attending/playing high school sports. It’s been a long 18 hours here in Parke County.
The fans got what they wanted. My hats off to Coach Crabtree and his staff. They find ways to win, their kids show up in crunch time and that’s signs of a good program. It was a clean, respectful battle and was awesome to watch. Go get Lutheran!
I hope these two teams stay on top of the wrc for many years to come!
Parke Heritage is losing some great players and this senior class was the best.
Good luck falcons! @Woody_Hayes

Is reb making the trip??
NV will be healthy and prepared for this one. PH will be ready for vengeance. PH will score first again like last time, but nv will get the final laugh again.. 35-24 Falcons...
If Ben Blank is wearing socks up to his knees, it’s over for the Wolves!
I was more concerned about the crocodile Dundee hat.

This game will be decided by one factor and one factor only- Can Parke Heritage manage NV's run game? Everything else is secondary. At some point, in order to win high school football games at this level, you have to be able to run the ball and defend the run. If they can slow the NV run game down, they have a great chance. How many points their offense can score is insignificant if they are unable to do that.
As always, you hope injuries do not swing the game one way or another.
Since I'm a contrarian by nature, I predict something will happen to make the sequel not as interesting as the first meeting. Since everyone is expecting a ton of points and a close game, I'll go the opposite direction
Reb I hope you’re wrong about it not being as good of a game as the first! Man that was fun to witness.
Like I said at the beginning of the thread, I agree with you that if the wolves want to win they have to stop the NV run game and NV has to slow down White passing to the receivers (especially Johnson) if they want to win.
They do say defense wins championships!
Thanks @Woody_Hayesfor your reply. I’m gonna take a half day to insure my seat.
Thanks for info. Hopefully Mr. Brown does this and makes it an even more surreal atmosphere for the kids.

Is Parke Heritage going to bring in “extra” bleachers for the Turkey Run gym when they host the boys basketball Banks tournament?
They shouldn’t be allowed to host it.

Yes. I think North Knox would likely have this happen often considering the layout of the field and seating design. Personally I've never sat at their visitor bleachers in my lifetime. I'm sure there are other schools where it's fairly common.
I would neverbut for some older fans that can’t stand the entire time it might be an option? The worst thing about NV is they have an 8 lane track with the fence behind(nice facilities) so you’re a long way away from field. Field was surrounded the first rematch.
Does linton still tape off around field and stand at each end zone? That way you could watch from 10 yards away instead of 30. Maybe it’s not allowed in sectionals can @Miner_Pride tell us?
Coach Crabtree aka @Woody_Hayes, I know your busy but could you let us know if there’s any additional seating. Lots of family coming to town and I need to know if I need to take a half day at work to be there at 4 pm. Lol
Where will each team play at if they win?

Absolutely. As a parent, last 2 years have been nothing but mediocre. Players, coaches, and community would say the same!
