Yes Facebook has been entertaining, Riverton hates Parke Heritage, it was Rockville, now they hate the entire northern part of the county! I can speak that we don’t feel the same. Only thing that has been competitive is baseball in male sports. 
 

But the wolves did strike a nerve with a Riverton Parke legend, a BIG TIME banker, and their biggest booster. His post has gone viral with degrading comments about the wolves and the school in general. Not sure I’d want to do that before playing them? Lol 

And the panther faithful can not believe the Wolves got more tickets for this game than they did. How does that work for the sectional?

I do stand corrected, may have been a poor wording choice but if you know Dwight Ashley, his love for that school and ALL of his students goes above and beyond any principle I have ever seen or been around, ever. Sometimes he is even over the top but the kids love it!

My issue with last week posts was the notion that a school such as Attica was purposelfully playing the "covid" card to avoid playing tougher competition.   that was the issue.   Pretty cut and dry.  And lets see what exactly was done about it.... I steered the conversation away from that, nothing more, nothing less.   No warnings, no suspensions, no PM's sent to @JohnnyFootball

1-thats exactly what the ramblers did, they have had Covid so badly it’s made them miss multiple games, it just happens that it’s been against the best opponents on their schedule and seems to work perfectly that their kids not being quarantined for 2 straight weeks and are eligible to play the next week. 

2-no reason to report, I don’t honestly give a $&/!, but if one can post rumors, we should all be able to. 

3-I’ll send my $30 if you guys accept EBT. 
 

the championship game will be decided on 2 things. 

1- Covid and if both teams can be at full strength. 
2-who can stop who. Wolves offense hasn’t been stopped in 2 years. But their defense hasn’t gotten a big stop in big games in 2 years either. It will be a shootout. 

where will the championship be played? 

what does SP do offensively? 

can their athletes cover Johnson and company?

I’m sure we will hear how they play larger schools, what’s their opponents combined record?

That's about all Bobby does at the Club these days is answer phones since Trent Miles is now in charge. The Boys and Girls Club merged with Vigo County Youth Football, not the Sports Center. Evidently Bobby gave you some bad information.

My opinion on the Wolves defense is you have the same athletes playing both ways. It feels like to me they are “taking a break” on defense so they are fresh on offense.  Would be nice to have a few younger players that could step up and fill in on defense and make an impact or atleast feel a hole.  I’m not sure the wolves have any players that truly like to hit anyone. Back in years past you would have kids that didn’t care about offense they just wanted to hit someone. That how’s for other teams also, not just the Wolves 
 

 

Apparently the quote I was told was true “we have a lot of athletes but not many football players”.  Make sense.

Lastly #2, I don’t want my picking on RP’s hype to think I’m discrediting the job that Brad Sanders is doing there, I think the man is fighting an uphill battle, kudos to him. 

Lastly, I know the defense is god awful but the offense has been unbelievable for 3 years now. I don’t get it.

After Rockville had its worst season in 50 years and Turkey Run was turkey run the fair weather fan is “content” with winning This amount of games but obviously not pleased and believe they should have won the sectional last year. I would say the community is ready to win some hardware and anything short of a sectional title will be a huge disappointment. As I have stated before this program hasn’t been anything but mediocre since we haven’t won a title.  He has been great with these kids if that counts for anything as well. They love him. 

I don’t think there was ever a “riff” between Moore and Batty. Sometimes assistants that are ready to be first time head coaches don’t like to do what’s asked and be a sidekick, smart comments and poor body language coming from an assistant to a head coach is a quick way to hurt a program. That was my view on it from the stands. Would love to see Batty back on the sidelines and as far as I know J Batty and Moore still have a Solid relationship. 
 

ive been asked 50 times why the wolves can’t stop anyone. Is it scheme? Mentality? Or do these teams not have hard nosed kids? It’s obvious they have athletes but O and D are completely different animals.

I gave Bobby a call at the boys and girls club this eve (boys and girls club merged Their league with the wabash valley sports center league) and there is six 3-4 grade teams and Seven 5-6 grade teams participating. Even though it is done by location, the lines move according to what kid needs to play where to make each team competitive. (Great idea really) So like I said, they are beating Terre haute teams that have the good athletes scattered around. If RP wins a sectional in the next 10 years I will donate 25% years salary to get them some new bleachers and I’ll buy every person in Mecca a nice cold beer at coach sanders establishment. Even you bear.

north vermillion canceled (last year when PH canceled, Moore’s head was wanted and I was a weirdo posting the 12 injuries Wolves had)

The boys and girls club puts kids together from similar areas? There’s 20 elm schools in Vigo county. Not sure how easy that process would be. Interesting. 

Just a reminder most youth teams in TH have to spread their good players between teams and won’t stack one team, I was recently told that the north vermillion youth league (Started there I believe) has more competition than the Leagues in Terre haute. According to the rockville teams that have played in both. 
 

Wolves JH beat the panthers from what Facebook told me and 3 PH boys even moved there to play for the tenderloin king. 
 

and lastly, I have watched youth basketball games but not football games and I witnessed the wolves beat every other wrc b-ball teams by 30-50. Yes they have a lot of athletes. 

wolves have a few more years with Moore as he isn’t going to retire before the johnson boys graduate.

Ahhhhh. Tanka is back, I haven’t heard from you in awhile on here. Atleast he takes shots at everyone and not just the Wolfe’s. Atleast you get the conversation started  

I've heard for the last 10 years how well the youth teams at Riverton were. Not seen much improvement. Only success they have had in anything seems to be The baseball diamond. I guess Sanders did beat the rox once in 15 years, I enjoy his steaks better than the tenderloins anyway. 
 

You’ll have a chance to compete when Johnson is gone, until then try to keep him under 400 yards Friday!
