  1. Howdy HNAC peeps. Unfamiliar with a few teams here but here it goes: North Judson Pioneer Culver Laville Knox/Glenn- No comment til after the game
  2. I wondered when you were going to show up
  3. Lol, this forum has been quite boring the past two seasons.
  4. Lol I’m not arguing. Nothing more then a little banter. I’m just glad there’s some life to this thread again lol.
  5. Lol, ranked by who? NorthRidge isn’t in the top 10 and they have blanked everyone they’ve played. EN has played a 1-3 Huntington North who their only win is Jay County whose has only scored 15 points all season and has allowed 39 or more points in each of their game. NorthWood who beat concord 14-6? Same Concord team that had to beat Jimtown in OT that Glenn beat 10-7? Or Plymouth 33-0 that Northridge handled 44-0? Come on....rankings are biased
  6. Oooo woke up a Penn fan this week. But dont get all Charmin on my prediction. Penn is a high 4A low 5A school now. East Noble with no athletes put up 24? Elkhart’s DBs won’t get burnt on a cheap slant. The Valpo score would of been 14-21 points the other way if they didn’t have starters out due to covid. Elkhart takes this one from Granger 38-10.
  7. Man week 5 already!! Here come the HNAC fans into the NIC forum this week. I’m sure Hellmans will be in here commenting shortly. Bremen- Id love to say Jimtown here. But their running backs need to hit a weight room. Glenn’s Saftey stripped the ball and their D-Tackle as well. Glenn had 74 offensive plays/ Jimtown 33. Glenn/Knox- going with no comment til after the game again. Marian- by 7. Adams have the athletes to keep up with Marian’s skill guys but do they have the discipline.....if Adams can control the clock could be 7 the other way. Elkhart- by 28. No contest here. Elkhart essentially became a private school with the consolidation. Riley/West Side two terrible teams. Riley didn’t put away clay until the second half. It was 10-0 in the 1st half. Riley had 160 yards of total offense, I mean penalties. West Side just had a big win against Bowman Academy a team Clay handled in their scrimmage. Sabermetrics says Westside... the dice say it’s a crapshoot. St Joseph- I’m going with the Indians. Their riding high on their last two wins. Another pass heavy team which will cause more fits for NP secondary. Clay- I’m going with the Colonials. Clay has scored 41 points this season and Washington 25. Two teams with struggling numbers.
  8. I don’t know about least talented. But I have no idea why #27 who was listed as 6’2 205 was playing wideout. It wasn’t that hard to know when he came in it was a pass play. He should of been playing tailback. Their offense is run 1st and their best athlete was outside taking up space.
  9. Recap: Elkhart- Dont see many teams in the North slowing them down. Wash had no chance. St. Joe is a little better then most thought they would be. They slowed down an offense putting up decent numbers. Bremen- isn’t looking too bad. RB seems a bit cocky flexing for the camera, lol. Marian will be tough to slow down. They have a good receiving core. They better start assigning 2 guys on Jayson Johnson. Seems to make the highlight reel every week. Penn- didn’t think EN would make this as close as it was. Seems like Penn has lost its edge. Riley- played clay.....I guess good 1st win for Kinzie. But he’ll be coaching live from his podcast this week after getting flagged twice and being kicked out of the game. Glenn- Sharp must be banging his head somewhere. That “old” school Jimmies offense was not in full display. Glenn caused a fumble on Jimtowns 1st 3 possessions and held onto the ball almost the entire 1st quarter. Score doesn’t reflect the pounding Glenn was giving them. Wideouts dropped 2 open TD passes and the kicker missed his 1st attempt wide right. They’ll have to clean that up this week.
  10. Thank you Marshall County! Glenn 10-7 over Jimtown
  11. Elkhart- I’ll say it again who allowed this to be scheduled @ Wash. This one will be lopsided. 60-0 Marian- Still hard to gauge NP this year playing Andrean. Marian by 14 Penn - should be a win for Penn. 28-7 Adams- The eagles need to get it going in the first half and not slow St Joe to stay in it. 28-17 Riley- Wins big Bremen- (30/40)to 14 Glenn/Jimtown- no comment on this one this week. Let’s see if Glenn exits the locker room this week.
  12. Good luck to all your teams coaches and fans.
  13. Have you watched any games last season or this season? Look like the Ravens defense on Madden without the players actually stopping anyone. All out blitz with cover zero and the RB still breaks through for 30 🤣.
  14. Bremen is going to have difficulty keeping up with legit wideouts and a mobile QB who has a decent arm. Marian might of lost some talent on the D side. But this game will be 40-7
  15. SB. Adams - The ground game will be too much for Riley to handle. Riley appeared to freelance on Friday night which will cost them several long runs. Jones goes 3-0 for the 1st time since leaving Niles. +24 Jimtown - will any of the remaining 18 Osceola Grace players show up Friday Night? Fairfield didn't take it easy and Jimtown might have their freshmen in by the end of the 1st quarter. +55 Marian- Is this Bremen Team the real deal or have they played two teams who trying to find their identity. IMO Marian takes this one big. Their secondary wont be able to keep up with Marian's skill players. +27 Glenn- Glenn closed up shop after the 1st quarter. They held Riley scoreless in the last 3 quarters. They finished with 2 INT's though us fans believe another one was robbed by the sideline ref. #16 housed a punt return and their QB broke more ankles in the 3rd quarter then Brett Hart did using his figure fore. Glenn +19 Kankakee Valley- going with Valley on this one. Washington just doesn't seem to have the fundamental locked down. Valley by +21 ELkhart- Elkhart's skill guys will sprint past Columbus. Their QB is too mobile and will be hard to contain. He's got a decent supporting cast due to the consolidation. +17 Catherdral- just don't think Penn is good enough to hang with Cathedral. Penn loses by +21 Andrean- hand picking takes this one. Andrean by +10
  16. SB. Adams @ SB. Riley Osceola Grace @ Jimtown Bremen @ Marian St. Joseph @ Glenn Kankakee Valley @ SB Washington Elkhart @ Columbus East Cathedral @ Penn New Prairie @ Andrean
  17. Finished 9-1 this week. I was surprised CMA didn’t come to play and I had the jimtown game swinging either way and it went into OT.
  18. 24-14 Glenn over Riley. Wow, 16 is fast!!! Torched Riley on a punt return. Defense clamped it down after the 1st quarter.
  19. That’s what I heard too. Heard they have a decent sized nose tackle 6’1 275, an OLB that’s 6’2-6’3 205-210, MLB that’s 5’11 210 and speed in the secondary with a stud FS who had 2 picks and a fumble recovery. I’ll finally be able to catch a game and see for myself this week.
  20. Not hard to gauge. St. Joe is terrible. Receivers would have been JV players back in the Downey era, Oline has no drive. 52 attempts in the air 200 yards only? 68 on the ground...Bremen looks a little better but not by much. Riley 4A played a 5A school and I heard the coach was making excuses for playing a big school. Didn’t hear that from Valpo. How do you only net 10 yards. Seems like they had a bunch of negative plays. This week they play a 3A school. What will be the excuse this week. Washington might of not been prepared for Adams new offense. Going to guess Jones didn’t show any of the new O during the scrimmage. But Washington will still only win 1-2 games this year at best clay...well its Clay...No depth, No QB, No RB and out of 24 kids maybe 10 played football for more then 4 years. They have no chance of beating anyone in the South...Osceola Grace is a good Freshmen Team this year. Penn is far from explosive and will have difficulty winning close games because of it. New Prairie will be ok. New offense and their D is fairly solid. Glenn seems like a sleeper in the making. Buddy said they had 3INT, 2 fumble recoveries, and a blocked punt. QB apparently went 16-22 with 2TDs and ran in 4 himself. But who knows they played a Team who went 10-1 last year and their only loss was to a power house. cant gauge Jimtown and It’s too early for Elkhart. Marian will cause teams fit with their passing game. But they’ll have difficulty stopping teams after losing their studs on D. I see them with only. Hard to say if they’ll be a 1-2 loss team. It will all depend on their D showing up. They better pray for dry games this year.
  21. CMA over New Prairie- Watching NP offense which looks foreign to them. I'm going to give CMA the edge here +10. Penn over Laporte - Penn kept the Valpo game close. Its no Kingsmen team of the past. But they have enough pieces to top Laporte in this one. +21 Elkhart- take it to the air and dominates on defense. Haven't seen too much of them yet to give a good prediction +14 Marian over Knox- I was a little surprised Knox didn't start off 1-0. I thought Radke's long practices would of had them ready to be in mid-season form. Marian will take it to the air something Radke's defenses in the past have had difficulty defending. The back yard air raid and speed will prove to be too much. Knox won't hang on too long past the 1st quarter. Marian wins big +30. Bremen- Has Bremen come back from the ashes since moving into the NIC? Or are the Indian's getting out mustered in the recruiting game by Marian. Seems like St. Joe's Program has fallen off big time. Just my opinion. But giving Bremen props this week over another program steeply falling back to it's Amato's last years at Washington. Washington's line didn't impress me much against Adams. They were too slow to fire off for their style of offense. + 21 I'm going to go with a Toss Up on this one if it goes....Jimtown might get a slight edge if they revert back to their old school days. Glenn over Riley- What in the world happened to Riley's offense? I watched a bit of it. 10 Net Total yards!!??. Seems like trouble in Cat country. Any petitions to bring Jarvis back early? Defense didn't look like the traditional Jarvis Defense and if he's supposedly coming back why would it be changed? It worked well before IMO. At times it looked like there was only 10 players on defense for Riley.....Riley is going to have a tough task this week. Glenn brings a stingy defense to Jackson Field. 1 First down allowed through 3 1/2 quarters. Which was a gift from the ref on 3rd down. Glenn wins +21. Northridge- Not much to say here. St. Joe is terrible IMO. +28 Goshen- Clay barely beat a team not even sanctioned by the IHSAA with 18 players. Adams over Woodlan- Jones heads into this week 1-0 and will make it 2-0. The new run game and speed will be too much for Woodlan. AD did a great job fluffing up this years non-conference games. Hopefully Jones wears a mask this week when he's yelling at his players on camera regional air waves....Adams +28
  22. New Prairie @ CMA Penn @ Laporte Mishawaka @ Elkhart? Marian @ Knox Washington @ Bremen Corncord @ Jimtown? Glenn @ Riley St. Joe @ Northridge? Goshen @ Clay? Woodlan @ Adams
  23. Crickets last night....... Well...Predicted Marian would win. But didn’t think it would turn into a nail bitter with 6 secs left. I had Adams winning big. I watched the replay of the game. Jones finally went to the ground game. Looks like they had a slow 1st half or it could of gotten out of hand early. Did I see a punt from an Adams team on 4th and 24!! Washington just doesn’t have the players. Like looked sloppy and slow to fire off. wooooo....No surprise in the Riley score. Guessed around +30 but 55!. I knew they’d get declawed by MC. Riley’s offense has declined over the last 11 games. What happened? Did the staff leave when Jarvis took his lay-off?Anyone go to the game could this new I formation have a glimmer of life? Glenn as expected +28-from a few buddies that were there. QB scampered for 4 and threw 2. Defense allowed one 1st down through 3 1/2 quarters until they subbed in freshmen. That’s Glenn’s 1st shut out since 2016. I might have to catch the game next week. St Joe/Bremen today- keep us updated Bremen fans Penn/Valpo today- some buddies with kids at Valpo said some key players would be out of the game Still goes today.
