Saints score on a long TD pass
Still think Valpo wins obviously but we have a game.

I picked the game up in the second quarter and the Dwenger offensive line seems to be doing fine. They've pushed to the redzone twice with nice drives.
They’ve been better since the 1st quarter. Think they came out a little shell shocked and have settled in. The problem is it might be too late.

Valpo line dominating on both sides of the ball.
Dwenger D has done a nice job settling in after the 1st drive but that doesn’t change the fact the Valpo D is dominating.

Halftime: Valpo 10 Dwenger 0
Dwenger has been unable to do anything offensively against this Valpo.

For all the region people out there whatever happened to region sports network? I thought they did a pretty good job.

Not sure that's a good comparison. Dwenger's defense is way better than Carroll's. Carroll had a very good passing game. Isn't Dwenger's offense built around the run?
Care to elaborate on the comparison?
I think he is comparing Valpo to Carroll.

Will Summit City Sports make the trip west on 30 to live stream? I believe the local crew that does every Valpo game is tape delayed and not live.
They made the trip to Lafayette so you would assume they will make the trip to Valpo. It’s about the same distance.

What are some of your predictions for this game? I wish I could pick the saints but I can’t do it. I’d be surprised if this isn’t a close game though. 20-17 Valpo

No, it's a 2 year cycle and this is the 1st year. Last nights win I believe guarantees New Pal will stay up in 5A at minimum for the next cycle.
I know what it takes to move up to 6a. However, I’m not sure what the requirements are to stay in 5a do you know?

Thanks, some of them might be underdogs but I do believe every single one of them has a good shot!

Let me clarify that. Preparing as if they will be playing limited or no Offense but will play on Defense.
Having said that, I just talked to the same guy who told me that.
He knows one of the 2 player’s dad in question and he said that at least one was going to be a go and back to 100%. Take it for what it’s worth but he knows him pretty well Who knows?!!
Separate topic, I believe Snider’s O Line would be comparable to Valpo in size.
1 hour ago, BTF said:Well, one side of Snider's line averaged 315, while the other side averaged 215. So it depends on which side you are referring too.
Good to hear, as long as they’re on the field that’ll benefit the saints in a big way. I see both your points, snider’s side of the line with Holtz was massive, I believe they had another big guy on that side of the line as well. I’m sure you know better than I do. But I thought I remember hearing the other side of the line had a guy or two in 100s or low 200s starting.

Kind of bothering to hear a coach say "there was no way we were winning this game tonight". I agree ya you were more than likely going to get beat, what tone does that set moving forward?
Last year he said the same thing about getting beat by a better team when Dwenger beat them which is fine. I do agree though lol that’s kind of a defeatist attitude saying there was no way we were winning.

Freshman and Sophomore years were at Delta, big numbers there as well, hasn't missed any time at New Pal, don't think he did at Delta either. As for your last question...not nearly enough people in my opinion. Offers from Army and Indiana State, preferred walk on offers from IU, Purdue and Tennessee
That’s interesting I did not know he transferred to New Pal after his sophomore year.

I was told Dwenger is going to prepare as if they won’t have Finley and Tippmann. We will need them but what can you do if they aren’t available.
What does anyone know about Valpo?
My read is they have a big offensive line and running backs? They will pass but it is definitely secondary to the run. They are an efficient passing team when they do.
On D, big strong front 7. What kind of speed do they bring to the table on Both sides of the ball?
If that’s true it’s gonna be extremely tough to beat Valpo. That’s arguably their 3 best players out for the biggest game of the year.
Speed wise Valpo is nothing dwenger hasn’t seen. As far as size goes I think they will surely be the biggest team Dwenger has played all year.

Just to clarify, I am not saying Dwenger will start rotating players, I ment that as in past games.. I think it will be a hell of a game. All I heard Friday from other BD fans is how Dwenger can't win against Valpo. We should have beaten Homestead, we beat Carroll and Snider. We have seen speed and Power before.
Valpo shouldn’t be anything Dwenger hasn’t seen. Going back to your previous point, yes Dwenger is notorious for being anti run up the score and taking their players out early. I think svarczkopf more so than Garrett but doing that has made scores actually look semi close, like a 2 or 3 possession game when it could’ve been 56-0. Hopefully they were doing that with Finley and Tippmann, I wouldn’t doubt that at all. Need players healthy now.

Watching the Valpo vs Michigan City game now... looks like Valpo is a two man show. #27 and #13. The defense looked better against Mishawaka. MC Ran the ball well against them. To be honest not nervous, I was more worried about Harrison.
However I have a few more games to watch before friday.
You think Harrison is better than Valpo?
Just now, FWfootball10 said:You think Harrison is better than Valpo?
Valpo looks like arguably the biggest team in the state. I haven’t seen much but it looks like they go out of shotgun and just run right behind that big line.

I'd say the bet is on your IQ. Define "a chance", as in points. Then you have a bet.
Nah tough man Olympian saying BD and Valpo have no chance then he proceeds to attempt to make a straight up bet. I give him new pal 1 to 2.5 odds for a GID donation and he won’t take it. He is contradicting himself.

True.

$50 for $50. Pot calling the kettle black when referring to someone’s intelligence.. I’m the GID Bookie, you play by my rules. Either accept, or keep on moving peasant.
Hmmm a bookie not giving realistic odds, hold on to your day job pal.

I got one better... I’ll give you Valpo and Dwenger, I’ll take New Pal.... $50 GID Donation... @Coach Nowlin we might have another bet...
It doesn’t quite work that way. You said the winner of Valpo and Dwenger have no chance. I clearly said New Pal is still the favorite so why would I make a straight up bet? Looks like your lack of intelligence is showing. You donate 50 if Dwenger or Valpo win and I’ll donate 20 if New Pal wins. Deal?

Whatever it takes to get you to shut up about new pal and cathedral for one second.

Brave...Insightful...Amazing
When you bump up 2 classes due to the success factor, come talk to me... until then, keep cruising those local lots peasant.
2 schools have bumped up 2 classes due to the success factor... Cathedral and Columbus East... soon to be a 3rd in New Pal.
Lol ok troll while you’re at it get off New Pals jock strap
4 minutes ago, dmizers3 said:Oh absolutely. Both are very good teams. But I'd say the Dragons would be a solid favorite over either. But a win is far from guaranteed.
Yes I agree New Pal would be a favorite but your Columbus East buddy is saying Valpo or Dwenger would have no chance. Thanks for insulting my IQ btw.

Agreed, probably some kid between the ages of 20-24 still cruising the local high school lot trying to pick up chicks... he’s not very intelligent
Hopefully Columbus East makes it past the first round next year so you can talk about them instead of trolling other teams.

Columbus East is in 6A clown.. talk about foot inserted into mouth.. Let me know when you make it to 6A 😂.
It only took Columbus East, New Pal and Cathedral bumping up for Dwenger to be able to finally get enough points to bump up to 5A 😂
Yeah exactly they are in 6a, they couldn’t compete in 5a with the teams in it now so they need to move back to 4a to have a chance.

Like a top 3 Columbus East team of all time beat an average dwenger team by 1 point at state. Congrats.
