  1. Could that have possibly been a BD record for penalty yards in a game? That was unreal.
  2. Luers definitely has their best team in years. Extremely talented on offense, no doubt about that. I just don't think they can create enough stops to win this game.
  3. Carroll by 3 TDs Dwenger 42-14 Homestead we'll say 45-28. I like John Harrell's prediction. Snider has to show up finally don't they? They win big. Wayne beats Northrop by a TD.
  4. Yes he understood that. Some poster said that Westfield would give Center Grove a game in the state championship as if Westfield had already made it to the game. They just have a bye the next 4 weeks.
  5. They may be able to pre running clock but they wouldn’t obviously.
  6. 2008, 2009, and 2017 in 3 straight games against Carmel snider lost those 3 by a COMBINED 7 points. They ended up losing in 2018 by 14 to Carmel. A good snider team can compete with Indy teams and has before. Homestead and Carroll have rarely fared well against them. I know Westfield is good but I don’t think they are like a Greyhound team that can physically grind you throughout the whole game with massive lines and depth and I don’t think some people on here understand that. The winner of this 6A sectional can and should compete against Westfield and make a game of it, possibly win. As you mentioned above Homestead has improved since joining the SAC which makes perfect sense. I think they have the best chance against Westfield out of these teams, probably Snider next year. Carroll doesn’t have the type of game right now IMO to contend with the teams down there. Look no further than giving up 70 to Homestead.
  7. I like this proposal but I think it would need a little tweaking. For example I believe the rivals should always play. There’s some cross divisional games I think you would need to include like north and south side playing every year as well as Dwenger and Luers.
  8. Think all of these games are going to be a blowout besides one. New Haven pulls away from South Side in the second half. 42-20 Concordia smashes Peru 42-7 Luers over Whitko 47-21 The Huntington North-Wayne matchup is the only close game in my opinion. I'll choose Wayne since I am biased towards the SAC, Wayne 21-20. However, it could honestly go either way.
  9. Only intriguing game this weekend in my eyes IS Concordia and North Side. Carroll crushes Wayne. Carroll better improve on D for the playoffs or they might be upset by Warsaw. I'm picking Concordia in a narrow W over North Side. Seems like North Side really underachieved this year it feels like doesn't it? After their blowout victory over Snider to start the season I expected at least a top 4 finish in the SAC. I think Snider beats Luers handily. Their D really impressed me last week, I think the way to beat them is passing and not rushing. Dwenger certainly had no success running until the 4th quarter. Dwenger beats Northrop by about 28. Homestead beats SS handily. Really intrigued by the 6a sectional.
  10. Joe Tippmann went to Dwenger if that’s who you are referring to.
  11. I’ll admit I was wrong about Charlie’s stats being bloated then as long as the New Pal fans admit they were wrong about Cathedral “clearly” being far superior than Valpo was.
  12. I digress. I am just aware of the teams in the conference that new pal has played.. Thanks for correcting me. Spegal deserves all of the accolades he is receiving. Valpo stopped him for the most part. Spegal on that run in the second half changed the trajectory of the game and that is what New Pal needed. 99.9 of the running backs couldn’t have made that run. Congrats New Pal! Great players make great plays in big situations, that is what Charlie did.
  13. Lol I noticed the shrugging on every play as well. I mean it’s obvious his speed is why he isn’t getting more offers. He literally has everything else. I think his stats are a little bloated playing in New pals conference. Teams do play in worse conferences than new pal though. No matter what he does in college he is without a doubt one of the best high school running backs in Indiana history. Once again congrats Spegal and New Pal. 5a was loaded this year towards top and they come out on top of everyone.
  14. You were right earlier. This game did prove Dwenger definitely has one of the best D’s in the state along with Valpo New Pal Carmel and some others.
  15. I just think a lot of people were unfamiliar with Valpo. I knew from watching them play Dwenger they would give New Pal a game. They’re too talented, huge, and physical on D to get blown out by anybody in Indiana. I still believe if those teams played 10 times Valpo would win half. They don’t though. Credit to New Pal for blowing open the 3rd quarter and making the necessary plays to win the game.
  16. I actually wondered about that as well. It looked like the Dwenger players thought it should’ve been moved.
  17. Let’s not forget the Valpo punter. Good lord he pinned Dwenger inside the 4 yard line 3 different times.
  18. You see the best teams in the world do things like this though. I would chalk it up to 2 teams not wanting to go home a week early. Everyone has their opinions though. No qualms with the officiating.
  19. I think New Pal wins the game next week. I think the true best teams in the state are New Pal and Carmel right now. I don’t agree with cathedral being clearly better or even better in general than Valpo though.
  20. It seems you are the one offended if anyone picks a team to be within 55 points of New Pal. They are good yes, I think them and Carmel are the 2 best teams in the state.
  21. You might be right. I suppose we will see but it wouldn’t shock me if Valpo won the game.
