Blow everything up!!  Start a new NSC 2 divisions in football, one all other sports. Get Glenn, Rochester, Valley, Bremen, Fairfield, Wawasee.  Then LaVille, Triton, Pioneer, Winamac, Judson, Knox.  Let Caston and Culver join Midwest.  Wawasee is not competitive in the NLC, but they will never leave that cash cow.

Never Happen!  Too much would be changing in several conferences! Sorry to break your heart!

Did a little digging on Herrell's site and saw that since the conference's inception in 2015, Caston has only won one conference game in football versus Triton in 2016. If you are Caston, why not look at a move to rejoin the Midwest Conference where they will be much more competitive year in  and year out? I know this goes beyond football, but holy cow that's a lot of non competitive football and from what I've seen from the new regime I don't see it improving anytime soon.

Who would backfill for them if they left?

As you mentioned, nothing more needs said.  I am sure some frustrations are starting to take hold in Walkerton.  The Glenn players, coaches and fans were hoping for more this season I am sure.  At least their posts on social media would give an outsider the impression that they were pretty confident at the start of the season.  This group of seniors have never lived up to their own hype.  No conference championships, no noise in the tourney (and won't again this year) and mostly losses to their biggest rivals for 4 years.

Have to wonder if the coaches seat is getting a little warm.

Very well said!!  Moving on to new week!  Good luck to all!

Not defending them or calling you out, but if you are going to say things like classless and call out coaches character, might want to provide some context.  I can understand not wanting to name any individuals that may be high school aged, but with no details it just sounds like sour grapes.

Seen a video of the end of game handshake and it said it all!!   #50 is the first one which is a captain on the team and after defeat he was one of a few that chose to not shake hands with Team LaVille this past week...  that defines the character of that team!  Coaches define the teams charactor...  I wasnt there personally but video doesnt lie!!

St. Joseph at Culver Academy, 7:30 pm

2 games this weekend will be important to the big school side of the conference:  Penn/New Prairie & Elkhart/Marian

    Washington BIG

    Bremen by 14

    Marian in a slugfest

    Penn Rolls by 20

    Adams by 10

CLASSLESS GLENN cause Clay barley fields a team

    Culver Academy

Glenn has issues that are beyond winning and losing!  Wont go into details but personally hope they do not win a game rest of season.  That staff needs to work on character (coaches and players).

Culver at Caston ©, 7 pm
Knox at Pioneer ©, 7:30 pm
    LaVille at Glenn, 7 pm
North Judson at Triton ©, 7:30 pm
Winamac at West Central, 7 pm

Culver will grind out Caston, but this will be a close one. Culver 35 Caston 28

Pioneer seems to be getting healthy and back on track. Pioneer 30 Knox 6

Is the QB for Glenn back? This will be another low scoring affair regardless of the Falcons QB situation. I like Glenn -7 if Creed plays, LaVille -7 if he's out.

Jays resume conference play after two tough outs to solid opponents. I look for them big this week. Jays 38 Triton 12

Is West Central a contender for the worst team in the state? Most areas schools who field an 8th grade team might compete with their high school. Winamac will have 50 before halftime. Winamac 56 West Central 0

GLENN QB IS BACK AND WILL BE PLAYING!!

    Well, here we are!

The final third of the 2021 regular season of the Indiana high school football season.

One burning question . . .  since LaVille and Winamac lost their regular season HNAC game.

Any chance the two get together on October 1?

Glenn (who is supposed to play LaVille) and West Central (who is supposed to play Winamac) wouldn't lose a regular season as they could play each other.

    Pretty each switch . . .

One minor issue is that one of the two - Glenn or West Central - would have to lose a home game to help make this happen.

One bright spot, one set off officials would be available.

The Winamac-LaVille game was supposed to be at LaVille, so the Glenn officials could head over to LaVille for the HNAC game and Glenn could take on a new opponent.

In the big picture of things, however, that's likely NOT going to happen!

The LaVille-John Glenn game is too much of a backyard rivalry.

In any event, who ya got this week?

Can you believe that we are half way through the regular season schedule?  While most of the teams in the HNAC have only played a handful of conference games so far we are starting to see North Judson, Pioneer, and Winamac begin to separate themselves from the rest of the conference pack.  I am interested to see how LaVille rallies and finishes the season in preparation for a tough sectional which includes Bremen and Pioneer.  We have some great non-conference and conference matchups this week.  It would be really nice to see every team in the conference play this week, but I am not going to hold my breath.

Caston @ North White-  North White has had issues with Covid this season; who hasn't?  Caston has had issues when teams are able to shutdown Hickle and Smith.  I think Smith explodes this week for a couple hundred on the ground and a few touchdowns.  Caston by 14.

Triton @ Pioneer-  Pioneer is back at it again.  Triton will have a long night.  Pioneer by 21.

Culver @ Winamac-  Winamac hasn't played in weeks, but lots of practice in the meantime.  If the game is played I have Winamac by 28.  If it's not played then Covid by 19.

Knox @ LaVille-  LaVille will have the size advantage and it's not even close.  Knox will need Watson to be a magician at QB to pull this off.  LaVille by 21.

North Judson @ CMA-  North Judson comes off a loss to a tough and undefeated Tippy Valley team on short notice.  It didn't end the way the Jays would have liked, but come playoff time facing stiff competition will pay off for the Bluejays.  CMA has lost to some really tough teams this season.  CMA can throw the ball around and they have size and speed where it matters.  It was a close game last year at Liberty field.  I think we are in for another tough game this week.  Judson by 3.

    Caston BIG

    Pioneer BIG

    Winamac Slips by

    LaVille continues Radtke's Misery

    CMA by a couple scores

  10. Pioneer BIG - they are gonna roll here out and through sectionals

LaVille slips by if OC gets something going finally

Triton - can score fast and thats what you need against Culvers ground n pound clock eating offense

Knox - not sure what Glenn team will show up

Winamac -  Better coached and will want it more

Just like last fall in that if a game can not be played due to contact tracing, quarantine, covid . . . .  the game is a no contest.  No game played can not be counted in the standings.

It is unfortunate for both LaVille and Winamac.  These guys want to play and there is no one more disappointed than these boys and these coaches.  That is the competitive spirit in both programs.  They want to play this game!

Here is a forethought . . .  Both have a non-conference game scheduled on October 1.  Maybe this one can be rescheduled for October 1?

That is one way to give these boys and coaches a chance to play this game.

    Just sayin' . . . . .

as always the game is better

I noticed the Elkhart - SB Washington game is not listed and John Harrell has it off the schedule as well.  WHS had covid protocal last week so it must again be the issue.

Jimtown continues Glenn's losing ways  (payback game from last year)

    New Prairie Rolls

Congrats to the Panthers for picking up their first win of the season over a very good Laville team. Defense needed tightening up, but I was very impressed with the offense for only practicing the new look since Wednesday.

Looked like a good game by the score....congrats

Pioneer will only have 17 kids at practice today. Pioneer schools has been on virtual learning all week due to too many teachers being close Covid contacts.

Im sure they will get a couple back if not more and be ready to compete  with LaVille!!     They are always ready!!!

  15. Hopefully all the teams that get to play are getting all their guys back and are staying healthy during these crazy times!!  Any updates from team resources??
