  1. Yea, great dude! Outside of that first drive when Paoli had a nice play that Corydon played wrong the defense looked incredible. That Paoli score was followed by 2 Corydon fumbles then, everything clicked. Im not saying CC would have beat Brownstown but it’s really unfortunate that we didn’t have that measuring stick. But that’s in the past. It’s Cougar week!! 😉
  2. No one would be, for instances like last week cancellation or whatever led to the cancellation in, what did you say, 08? Weren’t you still playing back in 08?
  3. That’s cool, it is good not to punish teams for things outside their control like that.
  4. Charlestown 20 at Brownstown 32 Clarksville 28 at Eastern0 Corydon 35 at Paoli 8 Salem 7 at Silver Creek 40 Scottsburg 0 at North Harrison 35 Can assume some windy or wet weather may affect these a bit... or cancel, ugh.
  5. I can understand not wanting to cancel Seymour.. again not that it would matter because the non conferences do not match up. A team going 7-1 and one going 6-1 are not the same. It’s unfair to assume that one team would have won their “extra game” if it were played. BC should request the Corydon game be considered a forfeit on CC end and BC be 1-0 currently.
  6. This is ridiculous. There was a late minute cancellation to the game because of a positive test coming back just hours before the game. The school has nothing to do with cancelling the game the Health Department is the one who cancelled it. Had the news come out Thursday maybe the health department and school would have had enough time to do contact tracing to ensure it was safe for all involved to play. I can assure you the player, staff, and fans were more than ready to host Brownstown. But seriously some weak stuff from you bro. This thread has never had much of a negative light to it in the 7 years I’ve been on it yet you throw out allegations of cancelling because “someone didn’t want to lose again” get out of here with that junk man.
  7. That’s great, I do hope there is a way to reschedule, this will greatly affect the standing for the MSC crown. I’d suggest doing it the week of our non conference games but they don’t align and Corydons is next week and will be missed anyways.
  8. Corydon will be out until Aug 29. Able to return to practice the following Monday in prep for Cougar week.
  9. The TNF officials were hired for the Pekin @ Corydon game, about 1200 flags already thrown between the 2 teams in the first half... these next 2:44 of the half are on pace to take about 4 more hours. 7-8 Eastern on top.
  10. That’s a good spread. I have some confidence that in 2-3 years we will be back to having predominantly seniors and Juniors only on varsity. It’s just a necessity for us right now. Plus a few of those sophomores and the 1 freshman are guys that would play on a lot of varieties in our area probably. The sophomore running back Denbo is remarkable. Same with the Freshman Martin. From eye test and score comps, Brownstown look really really good this year. Anyone that went to the opening game between us knows how very bad that game could have ended up.
  11. Corydon JV won 28-6 at Scottsburg last night. Was up 20-0 at half. 3-0 for the young guys now
  12. That’s impressive, I saw those freshman and sophomore in middle school the last two years and Salem teams were very solid. Brownstown too, ofc, but Salem had a couple of really good classes there. Next time we just need to be proactive there lol. Our JV is mostly all freshman this year, few sophomores and 2 juniors I believe. We have several 9&10 on the varsity rn
  13. Should have just come up to your turf field, did you all have any lightening that night? Think we may have just not wanted to slop up our field before our first home game of the season, not the first time that has prevented non varsity games. Third time is the Charm right??
  14. PLAC Fan, I don’t think Corydon players are in their heads about that game. They seems to be working well together and that loss hasn’t deterred them from moving forward. It’s heartbreaking to lose to your rival in overtime but they are working this week to take care of business Friday night. It was a heck of a game to watch though. Anyone know the extent of the injuries or how the boys are doing from NH who were carted off? Corydon JV is 2-0 beat NH 14-7
  15. Overtime thriller in Ramsey. North Harrison beats Corydon 33-30. What a good game though.
  16. Maybe have a beer then. 🍺 I know I will, win or lose 😏 🍻
