Our sophomore kicker ended up kicking for us as a freshman last season on varsity when his older brother went out with a broken foot after week 1. His brother is a senior this year so we are fortunate to have a guy who can kick for us on the JV, 37 yards today.

JV Score Corydon 17 North Harrison 0 Corydon returned the first punt for a TD, ran one in, and kicked a FG. Had the drive right before half that got down inside the 5 but didn’t get across before half and got down to the goal line at the end of the game and handed it off to a young guy who doesn’t get many reps to get him a carry. Score could have easily been 31-0. Corydon’s defense was stifling, held NH to what seemed like less than 60 total yards. Only played 8 minute quarters due to a lack of numbers from NH side.

Corydon plans to play NH JV this Saturday. Nothing has been communicated otherwise yet.

That play that Paoli JV took the lead back to go up 20-12 was wild! Corydon had drove down the field chunking out yards with the FB then on what, the 5 yard line he took a shot fumble it, another Corydon kid picked it up and tried scoring and took a shot and fumbled it, then the Paoli kid scooped it and score from like 98 yards out. All this under 2 to play? Wild!!

Yea, great dude! Outside of that first drive when Paoli had a nice play that Corydon played wrong the defense looked incredible. That Paoli score was followed by 2 Corydon fumbles then, everything clicked. Im not saying CC would have beat Brownstown but it’s really unfortunate that we didn’t have that measuring stick. But that’s in the past. It’s Cougar week!! 😉

No one would be, for instances like last week cancellation or whatever led to the cancellation in, what did you say, 08? Weren’t you still playing back in 08?

I can understand not wanting to cancel Seymour.. again not that it would matter because the non conferences do not match up. A team going 7-1 and one going 6-1 are not the same. It’s unfair to assume that one team would have won their “extra game” if it were played. BC should request the Corydon game be considered a forfeit on CC end and BC be 1-0 currently.

This is ridiculous. There was a late minute cancellation to the game because of a positive test coming back just hours before the game. The school has nothing to do with cancelling the game the Health Department is the one who cancelled it. Had the news come out Thursday maybe the health department and school would have had enough time to do contact tracing to ensure it was safe for all involved to play. I can assure you the player, staff, and fans were more than ready to host Brownstown. But seriously some weak stuff from you bro. This thread has never had much of a negative light to it in the 7 years I’ve been on it yet you throw out allegations of cancelling because “someone didn’t want to lose again” get out of here with that junk man.

That’s great, I do hope there is a way to reschedule, this will greatly affect the standing for the MSC crown. I’d suggest doing it the week of our non conference games but they don’t align and Corydons is next week and will be missed anyways.

Corydon will be out until Aug 29. Able to return to practice the following Monday in prep for Cougar week.
