  1. 14-0 Brownsburg early on I seen, don’t look like it.
  2. Westfield at Noblesville tonight, keeping an eye on Avon at Brownsburg also. Can't wait for the September 25 game to come along
  3. I liked it a lot, but something about Wagner's having even more of that peppery flavor, and the German beer drafts, have me leaning towards them in the SE Indiana fried chicken trail.
  4. Westfield-Carmel was totally full- taking into account Carmel’s top handful of rows being closed off this season- but they had a couple late arrivals that had to sit on visitor side. Great turnout for both student sections, could hear walking by Westfield students had Christmas music going at their tailgate too, great scene overall last night!
  5. I thought live at the game it was Snow, but on clip of play from Twitter it looks like #87 Connor? I could be wrong
  6. Any matchups that stand out for everyone here that'd be worth going to as a neutral in 1A-4A games that first week? Always loved a chance to go somewhere different on opening night with 5A/6A byes. Nothing really caught my eye down South, I got no problem going North for a competitive game.
  7. Interesting, hadn't heard that about Fishers when they opened up. Growing up in Westfield never imagined even a second middle school happening. Can see how a second HS would break things up talent wise, just always thought crosstown games were great to watch in other places as a neutral.
  8. I’ve heard it thrown around some, maybe on here, can’t remember, but outside shot of a third HS for HSE district that’d land somewhere near the Madison County line? think Westfield ever gets to a second school? Superintendent don’t seem against it, remember reading him saying “takes a lot of land etc” but at least in people’s mind around Westfield. Second middle school I know is on the way and yet another elementary.
  9. Perfect scenario comes true. Unless Carroll upsets Crown Point on the road, Westfield (assuming they get by Fishers) will be hosting CP in Semistate
  10. I've always understood it to be the away team's choice, with some coaches not wanting to veer from the routine of a Friday night game, or the alternative, choosing Saturday and not making that long trip after a day of being in school. Especially in recent years in 3A/4A, where Lawrenceburg and East Central have been regularly running into the Gibson Southern and Memorial's of the world, those always ended up on Saturdays. 2021 Lawrenceburg at Gibson Southern still one of the best atmospheres I've seen.
  11. Makes sense, I'm with you, wouldn't be great to have to play out of state majority of the season if it's that far to big Michigan schools. Sounds a lot like the Terre Haute schools in terms of being relatively isolated for the size they are (albeit much better athletics at Penn).
  12. Could Penn find their way into a Michigan conference with similar sized schools like how Mt Carmel IL was in the Big 8 for years? Not sure where closest MHSAA D1 school would be from Granger.
  13. Wasn't me for that one. Still wish they would have gone for 2 and the win after scoring late TD, run game was cruising at that point, getting 2 yards should have been easy money.
  14. No excuses, as a fan it's fun going up there, and if it was a seeded tournament, probably would result that way also, just saying it'd be another tough road game in Semistate as last year. Seems most likely route for the North unless Carroll has something to say about it in the Regional.
  15. Looks like the ONLY scenario in which Westfield would get CP at home would have to be: Zionsville beats Carmel Round 1 Fishers wins at HSE in Sectional 4 final, which would send Westfield to Fishers for Regional Zionsville winning seems to be the main factor, any other scenario would have Westfield home to HSE or Fishers through one being home, other away for Sectional final, or the Odd sectional# determining Regional host EDIT: This is assuming Noblesville don't pull 2 stunners lol
  16. Gotta love the confusion of terminology with time zones, but thanks for confirming. Gaining the hour headed down to Fort Branch so I'll be good, just making sure I parked and got a seat early enough.
  17. I’ll keep that in mind! With all the confusion on this thread about kickoff time for Memorial-MD, just making sure for this one that 7 CST is correct per John Harrell’s site?
  18. Completely forgot the game was played on the hurricane week lol, had a wedding that knocked me out of any games that weekend. Would love a shootout as a neutral
  19. Going to HH-GS on Friday, does this got any chance to be closer than the regular season meeting? Can't wait for sectional football!
  20. Totally foreign to me until I went with a buddy and his grandpa who lives in Fort Branch to the HH game in Allen's freshman year! Made sure to load up on them both at the store and at the Lawrenceburg regional in 21 as well lol
  21. Another thing they've perfected! Barr-Reeve game always means a trip to Knepp's just like a GS game means Dewig's brats and maybe a run to the Red Wagon! Always got my fingers crossed for a Saturday regional for Sectional 32 winner to be able to make a second game that weekend
  22. Out of complete curiosity and as someone who loves Southern Indiana with family in Bloomington and Greene County, how behind economically is a town/school district like Washington compared to a Heritage Hills or Gibson Southern area? Are there a lot of HH and GS families that just live a bit out but are more well off financially with Evansville jobs? Interested in this because you can go 7 miles east of Washington into Montgomery and see some incredible houses along Country Oaks 16/17th holes in that neighborhood, always was a bit surprising as an outsider that the money would filter into the small 1A community rather than a comparatively bigger 3A school. Barr-Reeve facilities seem light years ahead of many other 1A schools
  23. Exactly what I was referring to haha, but in the 2016 state title run Westfield was the benefactor of the same scenario with only being away Round 1 at Jeff then home the next 3 weeks. The Semistate against Snider is still one of my favorite games attended with the pouring rain and coming down from 10-0 to tie it up at half. CP's only road game was Regional at Penn Obviously would love to see Westfield get homefield against CP, but also is fun seeing games in different parts of the state, had a great time eating and walking around the Square during the day up there last year.
  24. I think Carmel might be too far gone this year with recent results, even feel Zionsville could make that one interesting in Round 1. If things go how I think they should from just mapping things out roughly, seems like the path sends Westfield back up to Crown Point this year. Really wish IHSAA would change scenarios for what determines hosting the next week, if things work out for certain teams, they could have 3 of 4 games prior to LOS home, where their Semistate opponent’s only home game might have been week before. Wishful thinking but would require real progressive thoughts of seeding or considering neutral sites by them.
