9-2 last season and they think this team is better...maybe the best team they have had in some time.

The community talks very highly of this player:

Thats a nice two hand dunk on his hudl page, taking nothing away from the young man but doubt he is any faster than what they saw last Saturday. If they are better than last year it could be a real good game!

I underestimated the buzz around this Mt. Carmel game. There are so many ties between the communities that EVERYONE is talking about this. Gonna be a really good gate for Mt. Carmel.
Do you know anything about Mt. Carmel? How many starters do they return? Key players? I didn't keep up with them last year and I don't remember how their season went... TIA

Speaking of lights out, has the EVSC ever replaced or upgraded the lighting at Reitz Bowl?
i’m always shocked by how poor the lighting is at the bowl when we get the opportunity to play there, love the bowl just wish the lighting was better.

I'll buy you lunch at Carriage Inn if Mt. Vernon wins LOL.
As much as I'd like to have lunch at Carriage Inn, I'd assume I'll be feeling pretty ill if we lose.

Our senior group owned both of these senior groups as feeder kids, so I have watched both groups very closely over the years. NP is the favorite and will win this game. The most Mt. Vernon scored last year against a decent team was 20 on Boonville last year (9 HH, 7 GS, 13 NP, 14 OV) with a Coach everyone said was a very good new coach. Perhaps the new coach is more offensive minded?
Owned seems a little strong from my fading memory but nonetheless, I'm not sure our Seniors ever beat MTV until last year. NP will have to play well to beat MTV again this year.

Any chance Mt. Vernon can pull off a week 1 home upset? I do expect big things from the Vikings this year but not sure how much better (if at all) MV will be. I'm sure there will be some early season hype around the new coach and returning starters, but expect it to fade.
Absolutely! Mt. Vernon graduated 4 seniors, so they have most of their team back. They started several freshmen last year and have a senior class with high expectations and talent. Their QB can take over a game and he's surrounded by talented teammates. Its a rivalry game and they have won more than they have lost historically. They are at home with all the excitement around the new coach and Nicot, I'd probably make them the favorites.

Just throwing this out there for any family of this young man who might be reading here. There is a very nice three bedroom ranch waiting for you in Fort Branch.
Poseyville might be closer to home... 😃

Wow! That is impressive.
The amount of use the fieldhouse and our turf field get year round is impressive. Our youth has been really spoiled by our community.

Does North Posey have an indoor training center with turf? A friend swore they did.
We have a fieldhouse that has a turf field as well as batting cages and nets for fielding, locker rooms, bathrooms and a concession stand. It is used for multiple sports including football.

Caleb Kramer (Defensive captain)(TE, MLB), Luke Meyer (G, DE), Carter Harris (OLB, TE), Levi Neukam (QB, FS), Yamil Arroyo (RB, OLB), Blake Taylor (G, OLB), Myles Kerkhoff (RB, SS),Crew Gerber (Southridge)(G, NG).
I believe Kramer, Meyer, Neukam and Gerber were all seniors last year. Harris, Arroyo and Kerkhoff were juniors. Taylor was a sophomore... at least thats what hudl shows...
