Princeton is large division right?  I hear numbers are down and QB quit...but that is just hearsay.  I like Coach Schnur a lot.

Yep, large division. Was just thinking who I’ve heard expects to be better. Large division HH is expected to be better… anyone else?

Part of the challenge and character of the game.  You have to remember the origins of football were in rugby, which was designed to be a simulation of war.  The battlefield, aka, the football field, could be a nice mowed surface or pockmarked mudhole.    Helps coaching staffs and players to be prepared.  Unfortunately  there are those who want to eliminate any variable they can from the game,  and the growth of artificial turf is one of the results.

I understand the love for a good ol sloppy field and muddy uniforms, what about the cost to repair those neutral sites when there grass is destroyed and field rutted up. Believe that is why a school willing to host would have to have turf.

You mean in addition to the one who already transferred in?!?

Houses must be dirt cheap over in Gibson County. Gonna have to talk with my wife about taking a peak that way!

Who are Memorial's new additions this year?? Did both RB's graduate from last year??

Is this what high school sports are going to become - the transfer portals?!? I guess if colleges can do it, why shouldn't we??

I heard its all because of Toyota, the job opportunities are bringing so many new families to GS.  😋

I know the feeling. Mater Dei will be 2A - but traditionally Pike Central has also been 3A, so that would be an even switch in Sec 32 after the numbers come out.

Maybe that saves you some time!

I have heard PC enrollment took a big dip and they will be in 2A, also South Spencer had a big drop as well and they will be in 1A... so I've heard didn't see the numbers the first time.

I have gotten wind of some of that "bad taste" from former Big 8 schools.  But, at the end of the day people make mistakes.  Grown adults in charge of educating our children probably shouldn't hold long term grudges.  With regard to your second sentence, wouldn't the PAC want Tecumseh and Vincennes as a package deal?

I believe the "bad taste" was more than just how things ended. I do think VL would be a solid addition to our conference, they would be at the top in every sport I would imagine.

How does Tecumseh stack up in the small side of the PAC?

I'd say that varies from year to year, when they have "up" years they have an opportunity to win the small PAC. When they have "down" years they finish bottom half. The last couple years they would have been bottom half (close losses to NP, FP, and TC) but I believe they have some good groups coming... They sure had their chance to beat us this last year and we won the small PAC. The game was 23 -18 and we were behind until the fourth quarter.

What schools would vote against Vincennes Lincoln and Tecumseh joining the PAC and why?

Well I doubt anyone with an actual vote is going to get on here and proclaim their intentions, so its all hearsay... I've heard some grumblings that the previous big 8 schools are in no hurry to help out a school that abandoned them for greener pastors just a couple years ago. A school (along with Jasper) that left those schools with holes in their schedules to fill and essentially ended the big 8 conference. Now that could just be water cooler talk between friends or it could have some truth to it.

I expect Tecumseh football to be part of the PAC again soon.

  8. Has Princeton even started interviewing football coaches yet? All I've heard is they keep offering Coach Schenk more money and he keeps turning them down. They have already missed out on a few guys who may have been interested, at this point they are probably just promoting from within...

I have heard there are schools that don’t want them and schools that wouldn’t mind. The schools that don’t want them are citing travel distances.  How far is Washington to Mt. Vernon?  Tell City traveled to Vincennes for years in the Big 8 days.  All that said I wouldn’t be surprised if the PAC says no.

I've heard some other reasons but all I've heard are rumors. So I'm not going to help spread them.
