Recommended football associations?

Question

Posted

I live in northern central Noble county (US6 and SR9S).  I am, and will remain, a member of the Tri-State Association.  Last year they didn't have a bunch of training and I ended up going mainly to Warsaw.  What associations do you recommend for a football official and focuses on Steuben, Lagrange, Noble, Dekalb and perhaps Allen, Whitley, Kosciusko and Elkhart counties?  I prefer in person training.

The Northeastern Officials Association in Ft. Wayne is pretty active. Here’s a list of all the Associations and their contact information. https://www.myihsaa.net/associations

i highly recommend you join the Indiana Football Officials Association. They offer weekly training videos during the season, as well as a daily rules quiz. You also get a Hudl subscription. https://www.ifoa.us/site_page.cfm?pk_association_webpage_menu=11101&pk_association_webpage=26948

I thought most of Fort Wayne's training was online.

Almost all associations now do online meetings. The IHSAA required 2 of the meetings to be in person last year. I preferred all in person but that went away with COVID. People complain too much about the time to attend meetings especially since some have to travel a decent distance to attend. I will vouch for the NE group though. They have excellent veteran officials and provide quality training.
