ASJCPUMA Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Friday, Oct. 31 Penn at Portage, 7:30 pm Carroll at Elkhart, 7 pm Kokomo at Adams, 7 pm Northridge at St. Joseph, 7 pm Calumet at Marian, 7:30 pm Penn goes to winless Portage. Should be a chance to play a lot of kids and rest the starters Elkhart/Carroll - best of the games it appears. Will the real Elkhart show up? Kokomo comes 90 miles north to play Adams. The Kats are 3-6. The Eagles are 4-5. A toss up game? Calumet comes to Marian. Calumet is 6-4. Could Marian make it to the sectional finals? Northridge come to SB to play St Joe. Raiders are 3-7 but lost some close game to the top tier tams in the NLC. St Joe comes n hoping to move on to the sectional championship. This too could be a close game Quote

I am going to go with Kokomo, because when I pick Adams to win they get beat, so I am hoping the trend keeps. They had some unluckly games, I expect St. Joe's D to hold them to under 10 points. Quote

St. Joe's D didn't look good early against Penn, but they seemed to bow up for the second quarter. If that D shows up for the next 8 quarters they will be hard to beat. Mishawaka is getable they allowed Northwood to gash them in the run game all night, if it wasn't for fumbles and a bad snap inside the 5 that game could have been very different for Mishawaka. Quote

Northwood may be young as I was told but they will be a force in the NLC if the pieces come together and the players develop. SJ had too many fumbles/interceptions moving forward. But it was a win and moves on to the game every fan expected. Penn as well gets their game in the finals Marian gets to try and stop the Know train next week Quote

BLACKGOLD2007 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Elkhart didn't even show up!?! Carroll is playing their best football at the right time. I think they have their hands full with Northrop, although I have been told Carroll took their foot off the gas in the first game. Northrop has not played for a sectional title since 1999. These kids are playing for so many years of frustration. I expect it to be Carroll in regionals. I hope we see a Penn v Carroll game. That would be a second championship game in a row at Penn high school. Quote
Coach Lou Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 Elkhart was a disappointment. O-line looked bad and defense put up very little resistance. These two things were issues for the Lions all year and have to improve if they ever want to win a championship. D-! power 4 receiver and very talented QB were not enough Quote
