Yikes, Michigan City is playing Detroit Cass Tech this week.

Brownsburg will have its hands full this week with Rabun Gap-Nachoochee, who played a very good Venice (FL) team to the wire last week on the road before losing (42-40).   That will be my first game of the weekend, followed by the double-header at Gibson Southern.

I really like the Michigan City facility.

Is the Georgia team a prep school? I did notice last year they played some heavy hitters and the losses were close scores. This should be interesting. 

Yes, Ames Field in Michigan City is a gem. 

Did you watch the Chicago Mt. Carmel / East St. Louis game?  Those 2 teams have high end D1 talent all over the field. Clearly a regional All Star team type of feel to them. 

I noticed you have Lincoln Way East ranked with Chicago Brother Rice. Did you add LWE for beating Rice on Friday? I didn't watch that one. But, I have a hard time believing the top 10 teams in Indiana aren't as good as Lincoln Way East. Their enrollment is about 2,600. Area is fairly white collar. A lof new development south of Orland Park in Frankfort. They probably lose some good talent to Providence Catholic or Joliet Catholic. Just seems like they can't be any better than a Carmel, Westfield, Warren Central, etc.

Wish we could get an answer for your question.   I have been a tireless advocate for a two-day event in Indy with four of our best teams against one team from each of our border states.   That would give us a better idea of the strengths of all those state programs.   Can you image how exciting an event featuring East St. Louis (IL), Novi (MI) Central Catholic, Massillon (OH) Washington, and Louisville (KY) Trinity against Brownsburg, Westfield, Carmel and Warren Central would be?   For now, though, all we can do is speculate.   As far as Lincoln-Way East is concerned, did not think that much of them in the pre-season but the one-point win over Brother Rice was impressive.   Not only that, but a quick glance of their schedule looks like they could/should win the remainder of their games as it is not an overwhelming slate.   In relation to how they would do against Indiana teams, Brownsburg looks a loss, Westfield and Carmel would be very tough games for them.   After that, I think they could hold their own.  No, I did not watch the ESL - Mt. A final thought on the above post, this weekend's Cathedral-Loyola Academy game should provide us with a good idea of the relative strength of both states programs, as both are rated in similar positions in their respective states.

That would be cool event. Warren hosted something similiar (less star power) and played East St. Louis. Man, that was a long time ago.

I attended that game.   Told someone later it was like a track meet with pads.  I recall that Evansville Reitz played Bloomfield (MI) Brother Rice that day.  It was hard to differentiate between the teams.   Seems to me Pickerington (OH) Central played someone that day.

Ohio hosted the Kirk Herbstreit Series circa 2008. Cathedral and Warren Central participated. It only lasted a few years, but if I recall it was televised nationally.

Attended those for all three years it was played.   Saw some great teams with some great games.   One in particular I recall, was Charlotte (NC) Independence losing which snapped a 100+ game winning streak.   Saw Concord (CA) De La Salle, Lakeland (FL), Hoover (AL), and many other nationally relevant teams play.  It was a great event.
