Homestead’s Ben Skowronek Transfers to Notre Dame

3-yr Northwestern starter and team captain, Ben Skowronek, from Homestead, has entered the transfer portal and announced his grad transfer to Notre Dame. This is a big get for the Irish, the icing on the cake for an early signing period that was an unqualified success. This is a quality receiver who will be a huge step on the road to filling the void left by the graduation of Chase Claypool — who I predict will be a star in the NFL within a few years.

Brian Kelly stated Notre Dame's recruiting class could grow on the offensive side of the ball in December and it did on Wednesday night.

Northwestern graduate transfer Ben Skowronek has committed to Notre Dame and will provide much-needed experience and leadership to the receiver unit.

Skowronek racked up 110 catches for 1,417 yards and eight touchdowns at Northwestern over the last four seasons.

The Fort Wayne (Ind.) native only played in three games in 2019 after suffering an ankle injury early in the year.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder took an official visit to Notre Dame following The Echoes banquet in December.

Stay tuned to IrishSportsDaily.com for more on his this pickup for the Irish.
