It does illustrate the difference between major D1 football and the pro's.  Think of the number of Heisman winners (especially QB's) that didn't come close to the same level of success in the pro's as they experienced in college.  Perhaps its says more about the systems they are in at both levels than anything.  Perhaps speed of the game and how mechanics mean everything at the pro level.  Interesting topic.

It would stand to reason that the pro game is harder, and lends itself to certain skills that are not necessarily emphasized to the same extent in college football. Plus, the available age range is 2-3 times greater in the NFL.
