SEA 222

Does anyone know if this is still required for coaches to coach high school football?  How often does it have to be completed?

You should complete it every other year. Though I don't know if it is call Sea 222 any more, there are four videos on NFHS to watch Heat, Concussion,  Blocking/Tackling, and Sudden Cardiac. I believe these courses are required by law.

I looked on the IHSAA By-Laws and it only states 3 videos: Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Heat Illness.  It does state that you need to complete it every other year.  But I can not find where it states that SEA 222 is required.

If you go out to the NFHS learning site for coaches, https://nfhslearn.com/home/coaches, and select Indiana, it will show you that three videos/training are required of all coaches in Indiana: concussions, heat illness prevention, and sudden cardiac arrest.  In addition, it also says that Indiana Football SEA 222 course is also required for football coaches.

SEA 222 is still required for all coaches in football. Every other year.
