Job Board IFCA
Indiansreloaded replied to Coach Nowlin's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Have heard that this position has been filled. -
So, the change of address clause is confusing because of the simple fact that private schools don't have an address requirement. If a student that resides in Gary and wants to go to Evansville Memorial then the student can because Memorial is a private school. I get transferring for athletic purposes, but both schools agreed that this is not the case on any of the 3. I say that we start a petition to get signed to gets these boys eligible.

Offsetting Penalty Question
Indiansreloaded replied to Indiansreloaded's question in Officiating Forum
Where the ball was spotted was 30+ yards beyond the line to gain and 20+ yards from where the offensive facemask occurred. The officials spotted the ball after the penalties where the play ended, as in where the defensive foul occurred. They didn't mark anything off. -
Offsetting Penalty Question
Indiansreloaded replied to Indiansreloaded's question in Officiating Forum
I thought that the facemask should have been marked off from the spot of the penalty and then the late hit out of bounds be marked off. The run was around a 50 yard run from the original line of scrimmage. The facemask was down field maybe 10-15 yards from the line of scrimmage. The final spotting of the ball where the RB went out of bounds is what is strange. Mississinewa ended up scoring a few plays after this. -
Mississinewa vs Delta game had a strange offsetting penalty call. Misssissinewa RB had very large gain and during the run a Mississinewa player was flagged for a facemask. At the end of the play Delta was flagged for late hit out of bounds. Mississinewa RB ran the ball to inside the 10 yard line. Original line of scrimmage was around their own 40 yard line. Officials called the penalties offsetting and placed the ball at where the RB went out bounds inside the 10 yard line and 1st down. I thought if the penalties were offsetting that the ball would be placed back at the original line of scrimmage and replay the down. So, if they were offsetting why was the ball placed where the play stopped?

Rivalry trophies
Indiansreloaded replied to crimsonace1's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
The CIC has the milk can as a traveling trophy. When a school beats the school that has the milk can they paint it however they want. Sometimes a school only has it for a week and sometimes they have it for the remainder of the season and all of the following season. -
Frankton at West Lafayette--Welcome to 3A Frankton but West Lafayette wins this one with a running clock. Alexandria at Wabash--Wabash has won 2 games and this game is a rematch of week 2. Just like the week 2 game, Alexandria rolls to the win. Eastbrook at Tipton--This game is going to be a good one. If Eastbrook plays like they have the last 2 weeks then this will be over early but I don't think they will. Adamson will have them prepared and this game comes down to the 4th quarter and special teams play. Eastbrook wins this one in a thriller. Elwood at Rochester--Elwood has a long bus ride to this one and gives them time to mentally prepare for the game. In the end Rochester wins this one with a running clock the entire second half. Blackford at Eastern--Eastern's wins have come against 1A schools. Blackford has improved and will make this game a close one. Eastern pulls out the win. Monroe Central at Madison-Grant--Madison-Grant is very good and laid it all on the field this past week. Monroe Central has historically been a solid football program. MG is just too much this year for Monroe Central as MG cruises to the win. Oak Hill at Mississinewa--This is a rematch from week 3 where Mississinewa won 35-0. Oak Hill has improved and has momentum going as they have won their last 3 games. Mississinewa had a few injuries this past week against Madison-Grant. Regardless of the injuries, Mississinewa is still too much for Oak Hill and wins this one to move on to play next week. Good luck to ALL CIC teams. I expect 4 teams to advance to play next week.

CIC Week 9
Indiansreloaded replied to Indiansreloaded's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Congrats to Mississinewa for winning the CIC title again this year and going undefeated in the regular season. Let's hope the injuries that Ole Miss had this week are minor and the players can return this week. Mississinewa will make a run in the State Tournament but if the injuries have a major impact it will be very difficult run and will limit how deep they go. Congrats to Madison-Grant on an excellent season. MG will make a deep run in the State Tournament and they all stay healthy. Good Luck to all CIC teams next week as they prepare this week for Sectionals. ' -
Final week of the regular season. The CIC Championship is on the line this week. Sectionals start next week. So let's hear the predictions for this week and who you think will win a Sectional title for the CIC. Blackford at Alexandria--Blackford has their best record since 2020 with 2 regular season wins but they won't make it 3 wins this week as Alexandria rolls to a win. Eastbrook at Oak Hill--Eastbrook took a thumping this last week against Mississinewa. Oak Hill was thumped by Ole Miss to open CIC play. Oak Hill has been up and down this year. Eastbrook started the season off with 2 losses, which may be a first under Adamson. Now Eastbrook has lost 2 in a row which is a rarity under Adamson. This game is going to be a close one but Eastbrook rights the ship and rings cowbells as they win this one to end the losing streak. Mississinewa at Madison-Grant--This is the game that everyone has had marked on the calendar for a year. Can Mississinewa make it 18 straight regular season wins? Can Madison-Grant go undefeated in the regular season for the first time in a number of years? This one could be a high scoring game. Last week Mississinewa's defense held the high powered Eastbrook offense to less than 30 yards of total offense in the first half and jumped out to a 44-0 lead at the half. Madison-Grant won a close one 2 weeks ago at home for their homecoming game against Eastbrook. The Mississinewa starters have yet to play an entire game this season. Mississinewa has the #1 defense in the nation. MG has one of the most explosive offenses in the state. This should make this game a good one. In the end, Mississinewa just has too much size, quickness, and finesse for MG as Mississinewa cruises to another W with a running clock in the 4th quarter. I predict Mississinewa and Madison-Grant to both win their respective Sectionals. Mississinewa and Madison-Grant both have the potential to make very deep runs in the state tournament with some media sources predicting both teams to be playing well into November. Good luck to all CIC teams this week as they close out the regular season and begin preparations for the State Tournament.

Week 8 Scores
Indiansreloaded replied to Komets2727's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Mississinewa 44 Eastbrook 7 Final 2nd half was running clock. Eastbrook had less than 30 yards of offense in the 1st half and 0 1st downs. Eastbrook score came at the beginning of the 4th quarter when Mississinewa had the 3rd string defense in. This might be the first time that Eastbrook played with a running clock because of being down 44 at the half. -
Alexandria at Madison-Grant--Alexandria bounced back last week and MG won a close one. In the end MG is just a little too much for Alex as they win another close one. Blackford at Frankton--Frankton is winless and Blackford has 1 win. This one is a toss up. Because it is at Frankton I'm going with them for the win. Eastbrook at Mississinewa--This is the game of the week. Can never count out Eastbrook as Jeff Adamson will have them prepared. Mississinewa has the size, strength, and speed in this one. This may not be a running clock like Mississinewa is used to this year. Mississinewa wins this one by 2 TD's. Oak Hill at Elwood--Elwood is improving but still not enough to compete with Oak Hill as Oak Hill rolls to a win.

CIC Week 7
Indiansreloaded replied to Indiansreloaded's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
FYI if you are going to the Madison-Grant game, not only is their homecoming but the Boy's Tennis Sectional Championship game starts at 6pm. So the parking lot will be packed and please don't drive thru people watching the tennis match. -
Honestly a lot of fans want Mississinewa to leave the CIC because of the weakness of the Football. The other sports both boy's and girl's, Mississinewa is usually towards the top or competing for the CIC title year in and year out. The CIC is very competitive across the board in all other sports. Each school in the conference has a couple of less than average sports and sometimes it is due to numbers. The other issue is if Mississinewa would leave the CIC where would they go? The travel time would be much greater than now. At one time Tipton and Peru were both in the CIC, which these two schools were the longest drives for Mississinewa. Eastbrook and Frankton replaced Tipton and Peru. Rumors are that Tipton wanted to come back but was denied, Lapel wants to join but Frankton has lobbied to keep that from happening, and Eastern (Greentown) wants to join. Blackford was going to leave a couple of years ago and go with Jay County to join another conference and teams left that conference so JC and Blackford backed out. JC joined the Allen County Conference The defensive starters have played 1 complete game and that was against Alexandria. The offense has yet to play a complete game which is concerning. The final 2 games of the season (Eastbrook and Madison-Grant) will force the starters to play the entire game. I don't think that this Mississinewa team has peaked yet and really shown what they can do.

Mississinewa at Elwood--Mississinewa finally allowed a score last week but the score came with the 3rd stringers on the field. Mississinewa will be playing on natural grass for the first time this season at Elwood. The playing surface may take some quickness away from Mississinewa, but in the end Mississinewa wins big and by however much they want. Frankton at Alexandria--Alex stopped the 2 game losing streak last week in OT. This week, Alex won't have much trouble with Frankton. Alex by 3 TD's. Eastbrook at Madison-Grant--MG could be a busy parking lot Friday night as the Tennis Sectional Championship game is set for Friday night. Eastbrook started the season slow but have now won 4 straight. Eastbrook and MG but want the CIC title and want the Milk Jug from Mississinewa. This is the game of the week in the CIC. MG has only beat Eastbrook 3 times ever in Football. This is going to be a tough game for both teams as neither will bow down easy. MG wins by 4 in OT. Oak Hill at Blackford--Oak Hill lost a close one last week in OT. This week Blackford is thinking big things because they scored against Mississinewa. In the end Oak Hill is too much for Blackford as win by 2 scores. Side note with Elwood, Alexandria, Blackford, and MG the only schools with natural grass in the CIC, what are the plans for them to switch to turf? I know MG is going to turf infields for baseball and softball along with new tennis courts but not sure if they are switching to turf football field in the Spring or not. Anybody know when or if the remaining schools have plans to switch to turf? I'm sure the upfront cost is the main factor, as it was for the other schools, but Mississinewa was spending $60,000 plus prior to 2017 a year on the grass field between fertilizer, paint for lines, and water plus the cost of mowing and time to line the field weekly. I'm sure that Oak Hill, Eastbrook, and Frankton were spending the same which led them to switch to turf, with Frankton being the latest school to switch a few years ago.

Mississinewa has been an offender multiple times this year according to the offender list. Once Mississinewa gets up by 35 points and the running clock starts, they pull their starting offense. They have left the starting defense on the field until the opponent pulls their starting offense. This does a couple of things. By pulling the starting offense it allows the second string to play against a 1st team defense and gain experience. As the game goes on, the third and fourth string offenses get on the field. Defensively, Mississinewa plays the starters against the opponent starters and subs in slowly the 2nd and 3rd stringers until the opponent pulls the starting offense. Alexandria played their starting QB the entire game along with their starting offense, so Mississinewa played their starting defense the bulk of the game. Against Blackford, Mississinewa had pulled their starting defense and when Blackford got to the 2 yard line Mississinewa put in at least 1 starting LB to try to prevent the score, but Blackford was able to score and become the first team to score on Mississinewa this year. The Mississinewa/Blackford game could and should have been much worse but due to the weather the score was much closer than it should have been.
-
Mississinewa has outscored opponents 208-0 this season and is the only team in the Nation to not allow a single point. Once the running clock goes into effect, Mississinewa pulls the starting offense and plays the 2nd and 3rd string units. Mississinewa keeps their defense on the field as long as the opponent leaves their starting offense on the field. Mississinewa will work 2nd and 3rd string defensive players in until the opponent pulls the starting offense. Once the opponent pulls the starting offense Mississinewa puts in the JV and Freshman teams. Mississinewa has only scored 3 times in the 2nd half all season. They scored in the 2nd half against Marion to make it 35-0. Then the Freshman scored late in the game against Frankton. Then against Alexandria they scored early in the 2nd half. Mississinewa isn't trying to run up the score but the offense is that powerful and the defense is that good.
-
Blackford at Mississinewa--Any doubt on this one? Mississinewa has outscored opponents 208-0 this year and is the only team in the Nation that hasn't allowed a point. They continue this streak and shut out Blackford as they win by a lot. Even the Freshman get to score. Elwood at Eastbrook--Elwood has improved but Eastbrook rolls to another W. Madison-Grant at Frankton--MG wants to score more points than Mississinewa did against Frankton as they roll thru this one to get the W. Alexandria at Oak Hill--Game of the week in the CIC. This one is going to be close. Alex lost a heart breaker to Eastbrook followed by being blown out by Mississinewa. Oak Hill lost 2 in a row before getting the win this past week. This game is going to be a high scoring game as both defenses tend to give up big plays. In the end Alexandria ends the losing streak and pulls out the win.

CIC Week 5
Indiansreloaded replied to Indiansreloaded's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
How good is Mississinewa? It was 28-0 after the first, 50-0 at the half, and final was 57-0. Mississinewa played the JV and Freshman offense the 2nd half. They played starting defense 2nd half because Alex played starting offense. Mississinewa had 5 interceptions. -
Mississinewa 57 Alexandria 0. Mississinewa has outscored opponents 288-0 so far this season. Mississinewa is the only team in the state that has not allowed a score. Might be the only team in the nation to hold all opponents scoreless as well.

CIC Week 5
Indiansreloaded replied to Indiansreloaded's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Yes, Mississinewa is legit. They lost their QB, 1 WR, 1 OL, and a couple off the defense from last years 4A team. They returned 3 linebackers, 2 RB, bulk of OL, and bulk of the defense. Coach Buresch has said "I will put my linebackers Ott, Anthony Monday, and McVicker up against anybody in the State, they are that good." Ott is a 4 year starter at LB, Monday and McVicker are 3 year starters at LB. The QB attended Manning Passing camp this summer and has completed around 60% of his passes. The primary RB's are Junior's and were primary RB's last year. They run hard and don't stop. If you haven't seen them play, it would be worth a trip to watch them. Don't see Frankton ever dropping Lapel since they are the same school district. Dropping Eastern Hancock is definitely a possibility. -
Alexandria at Mississinewa--This game is one that has been marked on both schools schedule as a must win to stay in the race for the CIC crown. It is Mississinewa's Homecoming and a radio announcer this past week said that when he was in high school and came to Gas City for a Mississinewa's homecoming game he knew that they had a slim chance of winning because of how the entire city gets into homecoming. This is the conference game of the week. Mississinewa has yet to allow a point to be scored and has had a running clock every game this season. This game the Mississinewa defense will have to prepared and show up to defend the pass. In the end Mississinewa rolls to another W with another running clock against a very good Alexandria team. Blackford at Eastbrook--Eastbrook may be down this year but don't count them out of making a run at the CIC crown. Blackford is in usual territory as they have 2 wins on the season already. Blackford is finding some success this year but they still don't have enough to hold off Eastbrook. Eastbrook rolls and wins big in this one. Frankton at Oak Hill--Eagles will win this one but which one? Oak Hill has had a rough start to the CIC season running into Mississinewa and Madison-Grant. Frankton thought they had something going this year but have yet to get a W. Oak Hill came into the season receiving votes in the rankings and was still getting votes until the CIC season started. Oak Hill rights the ship this week and gets back on track in the conference and wins big over Frankton. Madison-Grant at Elwood--Can there be a running clock after the 1st quarter? Unfortunately, the rules state the score difference has to be 35 at the half or later before the running clock goes into effect. MG plays the freshman most of the second half in this one as they roll to a big win.

Week #4 scores
Indiansreloaded replied to Gridiron_Junkie's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Mississinewa 46-0 over Frankton. Mississinewa still has not allowed a score and has outscored opponents 151-0. Mississinewa defense only allowed 1 first down tonight.
