  1. No doubt it should be Ringer, he's got 60 Tuddies, nuff said!!!
  2. The South is going to be fun to watch play out! I've seen both Mooresville and Roncalli, and both are well coached and both will be a tough out. Central is becoming one of the top teams in the SIAC with Memorial. Mt Vernon doesn't play the schedule the other teams do but they did beat Coach Ralph's New Pal team this year and that is always a big accomplishment. My guess is Mooresville will the representing the South this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of the 4 make the Championship. I just wish E. Central could have played Mooresville with all their players. I hate they had 10-12 players out when they played Mooresville. Also I think playing at home will have an impact on who wins the South. Memorial last year was able to play both the Regional and Semi-State at home. That is a huge advantage to play these games on your home field. Whoever wins the South will definitely be the favorite and will be battle tested.
  3. Far from it. Mooresville has beat EC the last 2 years by 3 (last minute FG) and 8 points, both at Mooresville (just by luck of the draw in the sectional). I'd venture to guess if Mooresville went to EC one or both, the outcomes may have been different, but for now give them credit. EC has beat L'burg by 27, 18, and 31 the last 3 years and it has been since before 1994 since a Lawrenceburg team as beat EC Beating a team twice does not make a "Daddy" status. Not beating a team since ??? (before 94) gives a team "Daddy" status. Or until the Purdue Bound twins leave.
  4. This game will not only decide the Sectional 31 Champion but the "EIAC's 2nd place" or "little brother to EC" award! Lburg won the "official" 3A conference title but now that FC is in 3A they might claim they won the EIAC 2nd place or EC's little brother award (unofficially) if they beat the Burg. So 2 titles will be on the line Friday night! FC surprised me this year at EC. They were much more physical than I was expecting and kept EC's offense in check for most of the game, but their offense could not do much vs EC's defense other than 1 long pass play for a TD. Lburg's QB did not have the game he had the year before vs EC but he is still the player you have to stop when you play the Burg. I think it will be a tight game to claim the prestigious "little brother" award. I think FC playing at home will give the Wildcats a lot of confidence and the natural turf will slow Yoon, Burd, and Patel down a step or two. Yoon will be the difference maker in this game. If he can get the Burg's offense going and score 21 or more the Burg will come away with the "little brother"! I f FC can keep Yoon in check and hold the Burg to less than 21, I think the Wild-kittens pull the upset and come away with sole possession EIAC's 2nd place! My prediction, I think the good weather this week keeps the FC turf in check and makes for a fast track for Yoon and the boys. The Burg 28 and the Wild-Kittens 24. Congrats to Lburg on being the best "little-brother" EC could have!!!
  5. I agree with this. Mooresville was very tough (and huge)! I totally agree! I don't want to take anything away from EM, but if they play Mooresville at Mooresville do they win that game? If EC beats Mooresville EM heads to EC for the Regional, do they beat EC on the road at EC? I think Home field advantage and the distance a team travels is a HUGE factor in who gets to LOS. EM has had the best draw a team could ask for this year and last year getting both the Regional and SS at home and not traveling over 30 minutes for an away game. In 2017 was the only time EM had to travel over an hour (not including the State Championships) in the playoffs to play Danville in the SS.
  6. Batesville's Home stands are covered but they are not as nice or big as the home stands at Enlow. I believe the covered stands at Batesville have been around since the late 80's? Maybe @Coffin K9 can give you a more accurate date?
  7. Well East Noble is the home team and Hobart's been at home 5 out of the last 6 weeks, I think that 2.5 hour drive hurts Hobart and East Noble gets the win, but defense does win Championships! Should be a great game! Yes, I think Memorial's experience at LOS gives them a HUGE advantage! Some teams handle it better than others but I think Memorial won't make the bright lights mistakes that some teams do at LOS so I see them with their 2nd State Championship in 3 years (but playing the Regional and Semi-State both at home is the main factor that they even have the opportunity to win another State Championship).
  8. Found the game late on my computer, it sounded like I found the 2 Mooresville Students broadcast (and 1 of the them needed to blow his nose), but I digress. I turned it on when Mooresville went for the TD on 4th and goal at the beginning of the 4th quarter (I think) instead of kicking the FG down 14-7 and didn't complete the pass (learned long ago, take the FG points when you can). I'd like to hear from EM or Mooresville fans about the EM drive when there was a roughing the passer call and then later Gillen got an unsportsmanlike conduct call for arguing a call (I'd like to see officials show better restraint especially in the playoffs on those types of calls in critical situations) all of which led to the eventual game winning field goal for EM. I saw a blatant holding call on a pass play that was not called but from the 2 students doing the broadcast and all of the Mooresville fans in the background it sounded like Mooresville was getting a few bad calls. I know there are 2 sides of the story but I'd like to hear about that drive and the refs, was Moorseville shooting themselves in the foot or was Memorial making plays? Were refs bad? Did Gillen deserve that call?
  9. Wow, the stars have aligned for Memorial to get to the State Final this year! First week of Sectional = bye and get healthy, 2nd week of Sectional travel 30 minutes to beat a below average Booneville team and to work out kinks of bye week. Sectional Championship travel 15 minutes to play the only team that beat them, Central and come away with 24 point victory. Hard to beat a good team twice in the same season. Regional at home vs a strong Mooresville team, win by a FG and now host a good Mount Vernon (Fortville) team for the Semi-State Championship! Sorry Mt Vernon, but playing Memorial at home ON A FRIDAY is not going to have a good outcome for the Marauders... Memorial 31 Mt Vernon - 14. Apparently none of the AD's talk to each other about playing Evansville teams on Fridays in the playoffs??? I can't believe they are playing on Friday this week???
  10. Home field this late in the season is the difference for both games, East Noble vs Evansville Memorial will be the Championship game.
  11. No Way!!! P74, you must have sustained too many concussions riding the Raven at Holiday World! Not taking anything away from the top 3 teams in the PAC, but to say EC would be 1-2 or 0-3 vs them this year is ridiculous! I'm sure the top 3 teams in the PAC are no joke but so is EC! For arguments sake I'd say EC would be 3-0 or 2-1. EC's defense was too good this year!
  12. Yes, Lawrenceburg should have been up at halftime of the EC game. They controlled the ball the whole first half and moved up and down the field but couldn't punch it in the endzone, and EC's 2 TD's were the result of bad tackling when they had the RB stopped but none of the 4-5 defenders wrapped up and the RB bounced out and ran 50+ yards for a TD, and a blown coverage where L'burg didn't cover an EC WR and they just threw it to him and he ran about 65 yards untouched! EC was lucky that game but it was the first game of the year, but EC came out and basically shut down L'burg in the 2nd half and then got their offense rolling.
  13. I don't have time to watch TMZ or Entertainment Tonight to know all of your teen idols that you follow!
  14. Crazy but I think all 4 of the visiting teams win this weekend in the 4A Regionals.
  15. Hey Boy-Fan, I am an EIAC guy born and raised! I was merely pointing out the fact that a 3A EIAC team lost to a 1A school! Milan just just happened to be that team! Only a true A$s-hole calls out someone by name on the grid!!! All of my comments were between me and K9, you injected yourself and your comments into our discussion, and I'm sure K9 didn't need your help! I was light-heartedly kidding about getting on my "bad side" learn how to take a joke!
  16. Home team will always have an advantage when it gets this time of year and the drives get a little further, but that Friday game could have been a Saturday game since Central didn't have school that day. Maybe you prove me wrong this weekend and Memorial pulls out the win. I won't be surprised whoever wins this weekend.
  17. Yes, I know they were both Saturday games... November 10th 2017 was a Friday but Central had the day off of school that day and traveled to EC and got smoked! All I'm saying is the home team doesn't always win. You're also looking at 4+ hour drive between EC and Evansville compared to a 2.5 hour drive between Mooresville and Memorial.
  18. Mooresville is very talented and so is Memorial so I won't be surprised whoever wins. If EC doesn't give up that cheap TD at the end of the 1st half it's a whole new ballgame. EC's pass defense was ultimately their downfall vs Mooresville but I think EC's d-line is better than Memorials and I think Mooresville will pound the ball and wear out Memorials D which will be the difference in the game.
  19. Oops I meant to say 13! I got the wrong "Evans" I meant 13 not 6, Brayden Evans...
  20. The last 3 Regionals that I have watched the road team has won (EC over Reitz in 2016 and Central over EC in 2018). Yes, long bus rides are bad and I think they are worth a TD for the home team but it does not mean certain defeat like you say! Listen Stalker! You're the weirdo that injected himself into mine and K9's back and forth so don't act like you're untouchable, if you want slam me for something you know nothing about then you're fair game, buttercup! If you don't want me coming back at you then quit commenting on my posts!
  21. Not to take anything away from Brock Combs, he's a great player, but I wouldn't make that comment after watching Mooresville play EC. Number 6 and their bookend tackles may have a say in who the best player will be on the field this Friday night. How ignorant to say their season is over because of traveling a couple hours and being the visitor. I'd say give Memorial a TD for being the home team, but if Mooresville is hitting on all cylinders I don't see how they don't come away with the victory! Mooresville - 28 Memorial - 17. They are just too big and strong for Memorial to stop their run game.
  22. Ok, Flea-Bag... I mean K9. I am sorry! I got nothing against Batesville, I swear! Now give me a big hug!!! Fan of Troy, I'll deal with you later. You haven't seen anything yet! Don't get on my bad side... ask K9! 😉
  23. Well I've definitely hit a nerve with old Flea-Bag because the dumbest poster on the Grid just got an email from old Flea-Bag last night telling me how my posts were too personal and I hurt your feelings (you must be a millennial). I guess Flea-Bag can dish it out and call me names such as "not smart art" "Chump" "Stupid Chump" "Idiot" "some Milan Hick" and now "the Grid's dumbest poster" Sticks and Stones, Flea-Bag!!! Sorry Flea-Bag, if it's too hot in the doghouse then stay out of the Grid!!! Do big boys send emails to other posters about being too personal? Come on Flea-Bag, you can dish it out but you have a hard time taking it! Go accept your participation trophy at Batesville's Football banquet and let real programs go fight it out for real trophies!!! Like Sectional Trophies (go get a stool and climb up to look at coach Hep's trophy case to see what I'm talking about)! The fact that you admit you brag when you beat Milan is embarrassing enough dude!!! Well I would have been more impressed if that was your record with fat chicks! I've never questioned Coach Heppner's teams (the last Batesville coach to beat EC)! They would give the Mighty Trojans competitive games and Yes, even beat them once in a while, but examine the new "flag-football staff's" record vs the Trojans... 2019 - 43-0 (I guess you were saving those points for mighty Rushville, good thinking!), 2018 - 55-9 (hey you scored, good job!), 2017 - 51-10 (ALMOST as bad as the score you beat Milan last year, but EC beat you worse!), and 2016 - 35-14 (The EXACT same score Milan beat Batesville this year, how ironic is that?) Fake News! All of it! Never made a jab about Coach Hep's impressive record! I think I said current coach has good record of 25-19, good but not in the league of Coach Heppner's Flag Football references are to your Youth Organization K-3 switching from "real tackle" football to flag football, correct? Flea-Bag, if I'm wrong sorry, does your whole youth football play flag football? That would explain your HS's team lack of tackling skills. You don't care??? I don't believe that for a minute! Is that why you emailed me last night? I think someone who takes time out of their day to email a fella really cares! I know you care, buddy!!! See, you just called yourself a "fool"... Oh Flea-Bag thank God your on the Grid!!! Keep'em coming!!!
  24. Welcome back Flea-Bag! What the heck is 51-13? Your record with fat chicks? I see a record of 25-19 record during the post-Heppner years. Good but not anywhere near Coach Heppner's standards! Well Flea-Bag, since you think I'm a Milan guy I guess I can be on here because it IS Sectional Championship week and guess what? Milan is still playing! So go volunteer and help your flag-football coaches stack shoulder pads and clean helmets while the real programs like EC, L'burg AND Milan get ready to play for Trophies! A trophy Batesville hasn't seen since Coach Heppner's last season...coincidence or not?
