  1. Does anyone else seem to wonder why Russia would need to recruit order troops from another Dictator's military into their existing war? https://nypost.com/2024/10/24/opinion/north-koreas-troops-in-ukraine-reveal-putins-weakness/ The war for Ukraine is widening. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed Wednesday that North Korea is dispatching thousands of troops to Russia, marking a significant escalation in its conflict with Kyiv. Vladimir Putin is pulling Kim Jong Un deeper into the war — yet he is also revealing a weakness: The Kremlin is running low on recruitable troops at home. North Korea’s infusion of fresh soldiers will remain practically risk-free for Pyongyang, unless the United States returns to its aggressive sanctions posture against the Kim regime.
  2. Nothing screams an "honest, fair and open" Town Hall campaign event like "No you can't ask what you want - We have some pre-determined questions"..... https://nypost.com/2024/10/21/us-news/kamala-harris-town-hall-host-maria-shriver-shuts-down-michigan-voter-hoping-to-ask-the-vp-a-question-we-have-some-pre-determined-questions/ Former California first lady and journalist Maria Shriver revealed that only “pre-determined questions” were allowed to be asked of Vice President Kamala Harris at a Michigan town hall event on Monday. “Are we going to be able to ask a question?” a woman attending the Oakland County event asked Shriver ahead of Harris taking the stage with former Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), according to the Daily Mail. Shriver shut her down. “You’re not, unfortunately, we have some pre-determined questions,” the former “Dateline” correspondent replied. “Hopefully I’ll be able to ask some of the questions that might be in your head,” Shriver added. Video of Shriver’s response to the woman quickly went viral on social media, with several users slamming the event as a Harris campaign “production” rather than a genuine town hall — where voters typically are allowed to ask presidential candidates unscripted questions. “That’s not a town hall. That’s called a stage production,” one X user wrote, arguing that the Democratic nominee for president is “incapable of off the cuff.” “Some ‘town hall,’” Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume tweeted. Another X user referred to the event, which was packed with canned lines and talking points, as a “prepped answer show.”
  3. Kinda seems like these guys might be the racist/misogyny culprits....... "If you are having a problem figuring who to vote for - You ain't black" - Joe Biden (2020 election) "Part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren't feeling the idea of having a woman as president," Barack Obama
  4. Quick - There's still time time to indict Trump before the election! (Entering the final throes of the Harris campaign - throwing the last of the spaghetti on the wall hoping SOMETHING sticks) https://nypost.com/2024/10/10/opinion/with-kamala-harris-flailing-the-left-is-resorting-to-russia-hoax-2-0/ “Trump secretly gave Putin Covid test machines,” gasps The Guardian, crediting Woodward. Axios even parroted Dem charges that Trump’s Putin calls “could be illegal.” (Quick — there’s still time to indict him yet again before the election!) Meanwhile, The New York Times spun one of its typical thin-reed, anti-Trump tales (on its front page, natch!) speculating that the ex-prez favors Russia over Ukraine because he believes Kyiv helped Hillary Clinton in 2016 and because he bought Putin’s “shtick” about the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Same-old, same-old: For years, the left bloviated about Trump-Russia “collusion” — though endless probes failed to find anything beyond Trump’s habit of over-the-top flattery of people he hopes to influence. The new charges are equally meritless. Even the Times admits Trump in office took a “relatively hawkish stance on Russia.” As for violations of the Logan Act, that 1799 law banning private citizens from conducting foreign policy that’s never been used to convict anyone: Countless Democrats (Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, John Kerry) have discussed policy matters with foreign governments after leaving office — often in direct contradiction to the sitting president. Dumbest of all: the whining that Trump gave Putin COVID testing equipment in 2020. Even if true, what could the Russian strongman do with it? Remember, there was no treatment or vaccine for the virus at the time; and lots of countries were trading equipment and information in a bid to stem COVID’s spread. Looks like a cheap way to make Putin feel respected, and so less likely to, say, launch a fresh invasion of Ukraine (which Trump, incidentally, provided with lethal weaponry, breaking from the Obama policy).
  5. Another example of the dumbing down of America. Apparently "Wind Chill Factor" is too hard to understand. "Feels like" will be the new term along "Extreme Cold Watch" to put a little more "scare" in the weather...... https://www.wndu.com/2024/10/08/here-is-why-there-wont-be-any-wind-chill-warnings-this-winter-us/?fbclid=IwY2xjawFyeKlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHdC73AHzDApc3tJyigqfTVVw450xyYk-Z7608UY1ljApkfzDiu5C-jh2nA_aem_4w6-CsY3WcBQpAjo5EpcPQ (Gray News) - You will no longer hear of wind chill warnings in the United States. You also will not hear of wind chill advisories or wind chill watches. The explanation is simple. The National Weather Service retired the terms in exchange for terms it hopes will make weather alerts easier to understand. A Wind Chill Watch is now an Extreme Cold Watch. It will be issued when dangerously cold air, with or without wind, is possible. You should adjust plans to avoid being outside during the coldest parts of the day and make sure you have at least half a tank of gas and an updated winter survival kit. A Wind Chill Warning is now an Extreme Cold Warning. It will be issued when dangerously cold air, with or without wind, is expected. You should avoid going outside, but if you must, you should dress in layers, cover exposed skin and make sure at least one person knows where you are going and when you arrive at your destination. A Wind Chill Advisory is now a Cold Weather Advisory. You should be sure to be dressed appropriately and cover exposed skin when going outdoors. The NWS made the changes in hopes of clarifying that cold can be dangerous with or without wind, addressing a common misconception that extreme cold is only tied to colder temperatures when there is wind.
  6. Yeah, FEMA may have allocated a billion dollars to illegal immigrants.......BUT - It's Trump's fault!! YEAH.....And - Katrina and Bush and stuff! (That $5 billion border wall sure would have been a pretty good investment) - and everyone needs to forget about that Ukraine thing..... https://thefederalist.com/2024/10/01/biden-harris-admin-used-fema-disaster-funding-for-illegal-immigrants/ The Biden-Harris administration took more than a billion tax dollars that had been allocated to the agency responsible for American disaster relief and used it to offer services for illegal immigrants. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) allocated nearly $364 million in the fiscal year 2023 and $650 million for the 2024 fiscal year to the “Shelter and Services Program” “to provide humanitarian services to noncitizen migrants following their release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS),” according to the government’s website. The program is run in cooperation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) “to support CBP in the safe, orderly and humane release of noncitizen migrants from short-term holding facilities,” FEMA’s website reads. An anonymous X account highlighted the program after MSNBC pundit Michael Steele sought to portray former President Donald Trump as the commander-in-chief who denied Americans full relief from catastrophic weather events. “In case folks forgot what Trump did to FEMA’s relief fund,” Steele wrote to frame a post about the former president pulling $271 million from DHS to detain migrants. The NBC article featured in Steele’s post said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) pulled $155 million directly from FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund, just a fraction of the resources used by the Biden-Harris administration to care for illegal border crossers. FEMA’s top priorities under the incumbent administration, meanwhile, do not include disaster relief among the top two goals of the emergency services agency. According to FEMA’s own website, the stated goals include, first, instilling “equity as a foundation of emergency management,” and second, “lead[ing] whole of community in climate resilience.” The goal to “promote and sustain a ready FEMA and prepared nation” ranks third. Now, residents across the southeastern United States are suffering from the administration’s misplaced priorities, which place “equity” and “climate resilience” ahead of emergency preparedness. While FEMA routinely prepares for colossal rescue operations with resources lined up in the days ahead of major storms, such pre-staged support was clearly not available to residents in the Appalachian towns that were washed away by overwhelming rains from Hurricane Helene. Hundreds remain missing as the storm becomes the Biden administration’s “Katrina moment.” “Democrats sailed to a massive victory in the 2006 midterms, campaigning on Bush’s allegedly flat-footed Katrina response and the unpopular war in Iraq, rendering the president impotent for his last two years in office,” wrote Federalist Senior Editor John Davidson. Now Vice President Kamala Harris is running for the Oval Office while coordinating a “staged photo pretending to work on the disaster response (earbuds not even plugged into the phone, taking notes on a blank piece of paper), together with the absence of FEMA or any other federal assistance to storm-ravaged areas of western North Carolina and Georgia.”
  7. John Amos, ‘Good Times’ and Emmy-nominated ‘Roots’ star, dies at 84, actor’s publicist says https://www.wndu.com/2024/10/01/john-amos-good-times-emmy-nominated-roots-star-dies-84-actors-publicist-says/?fbclid=IwY2xjawFpJI5leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHZVX6ykZSZY9VzqYawPSpx3eKboBY1GOWrOBZ18BEHIlbjNzyA50UkXmnw_aem_i21nFTgbO-m9U-dCxQabbg
  8. As Israel starts raids into Lebanon to root out TERRORISTS (not a country's army) funded by Iran (a country that actually has a countdown clock tracking the time to the predicted destruction of Israel) and actually kills a TERRORIST LEADER, Iran fires hundreds of missiles and sets loose a couple of terror attacks on the civilians - something that our President vowed "severe consequences" to Iran. We'll see..... Everyone is aware Iran is a few screws from having a nuke and they know if Harris wins the Presidency they know Iran can continue the current administration's passive negotiation strategy with Israel, but if Trump wins, the fear is Iran will feel the need to finish it fast and that will prompt a more direct response aimed at totally destroying Iran's capability to get it done. Let's not forget who the real enemy is in the Middle East - Iran.....

  10. SF remembers.....The Kirkton years and almost every season prior.....NR competed well and dominated in nearly every sport except for football...... SF out - Back to lurking the depths......
  11. Anyone remember hurricane Katrina? SF was professionally involved with the Federal response following Katrina and can attest to the efficiency of the proper chain of command that was followed by everyone except the Mayor of New Orleans that saw everyone affected getting proper and expeditious help except for the City of New Orleans. Which was then totally put on the shoulders of President Bush as incompetence - while ignoring the true incompetence by Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin who chose to handle things themselves until they figured out (too late) they needed FEMA. We found out many years later the corrupt ways of Louisiana & New Orleans government when Mayor Nagin went to prison. We are witnessing a very similar situation following Hurricane Helene with the exception that the Government response is being handled by competent individuals at the State and Local levels. The Federal response is getting started as the various requests are made, but the delays in certain areas getting the resources to the locals in the red states is very obvious to the trained eye.
  12. An event I saw today reminded me of this -
  13. "I think we should eliminate the filibuster for Roe [v. Wade], and get us back to the point where 51 votes would be what we need to actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom." Her mistake is stating that Roe V Wade was a law. It was a SCOTUS verdict regarding a woman's right to privacy. If there was a legitimate law passed through Congress, RVW being overturned would have no bearing. This is a red herring to attempt to get stronger power in the hands of already overtly corrupt lawmakers that would change our system of government from a Democratic Republic to a Majority Rules which is indeed the real threat to democracy..... Abortion laws need to be brought up to Congress and debated then voted on to settle this issue and install a federal law designed to give that avenue to women with conditions that keep abortion from simply being a form of birth control.
  14. In a rare move, the Teamsters Union has decided not to endorse any candidate this election......(even though membership chose a clear favorite) https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13865923/Union-1-3-MILLION-members-makes-shocking-2024-election-announcement-despite-data-showing-rank-file-backing-Trump.html According to data released by the union, rank-and-file picked Trump over Harris by 60-34 percent.
  15. Agreed....
  16. In what has to be the most diabolical moves ever against a terrorist organization, Hezbollah (a terrorist group) had their pagers they were using to hide explode yesterday, followed by their handheld radios doing the same thing today.......(no comment from Israel) https://nypost.com/2024/09/18/world-news/hezbollahs-handheld-radios-explode-in-second-wave-of-remote-detonated-attacks-on-terror-group/
  17. Abso-fricking-lutly! Charge the parents as well as the kid. The kid sure didn't buy the weapon, but he used it. If a parent trusts a kid with that kind of a weapon, then that parent needs to be responsible for the mis-use resulting in harm to others. Sounds like a pretty bad upbringing to start with. https://nypost.com/2024/09/05/us-news/georgia-school-shooting-suspect-colt-grays-broken-family/ WINDER, Georgia — Colt Gray, the baby-face Georgia school shooting suspect who is charged with murdering two classmates and two teachers, grew up in a broken and neglectful home, which police and child services visited on a regular basis, a former neighbor and landlord tell The Post. His mother, Marcee, 43, has a lengthy rap sheet with drug and domestic violence arrests. And his father Colin, 54, allegedly bought his troubled son an AR-15 rifle for Christmas — and now faces charges of his own for supplying the weapon used in the shooting. Lauren Vickers, who lived next-door to the Grays in Jefferson, Georgia, said there were “problems immediately” when the Grays and their three children moved into the well-manicured neighborhood 60 miles east of Atlanta in 2022. “There were nights where the mom would lock him and his sister out the house. And they would be banging on the back door, just screaming like ‘Mom! mom! mom!’ and crying. It was absolutely devastating,” she said.
  18. 50 years since the last draft, and the US has the strongest and most advanced AVF in the world........Maybe Milton Friedman was right - TIme to forget the draft.
  19. Should be kinda worrisome when your running-mate's family members aren't backing the guy........ https://nypost.com/2024/09/04/us-news/tim-walzs-family-members-go-viral-as-they-allegedly-turn-against-him-pose-in-walzs-for-trump-shirts/
  20. The days of our childhood where we played "Cowboys and Indians" with Lone Ranger and Tonto toys, or pretended the bad guys were Germans or Japanese with our GI Joe figures, or played with our toy guns and bow and arrows are now so taboo, I'd be afraid to bring the topic up......I still have a set of Lawn Jarts in the attic that I would love to have one of my neighbors melt down over if I were to pull them out and toss them around the yard. Bummer is my Grandfather was really good at Lawn Jarts.
