  1. https://nypost.com/2022/03/28/biden-used-cheat-sheet-while-doubling-down-on-message-to-oust-putin/ President Joe Biden once again referred to a printed cheat sheet sheet as he doubled down on his unscripted weekend claim that Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.” On Monday Biden, 79, told reporters he made “no apologies” for his remarks — made off the cuff and not part of his prepared speech in a nationally televised address from Poland Saturday — and did not view it as a provocation to Russia. “It’s more an aspiration than anything. He shouldn’t be in power. There’s no — I mean, people like this shouldn’t be ruling countries, but they do. The fact is they do, but it doesn’t mean I can’t express my outrage about it.” His comments closely aligned with notes printed on a small piece of paper that he was photographed holding in his left hand as he spoke that began as follows: If you weren’t advocating for regime change, what did you mean? Can you clarify? I was expressing the moral outrage I felt towards the actions of this man I was not articulating a change in policy “I was talking to the Russian people. The last part of the speech was talking to the Russian people, telling them what we thought,” Biden told reporters. The president has been photographed several times using a cheat sheet to talk to reporters and voters both in the White House and on the campaign trail. About two weeks before the 2020 election, he pulled notes out of his jacket as he fielded a question about taxes at a Town Hall event. “I carry this card with me,” Biden told the inquiring voter as he repeatedly referenced the notes to recite a litany of dollar amounts and percentages pertaining to his plan to eliminate the tax cuts of former President Donald Trump. Photos showed he used several cheat sheets during his first presidential press conference, including one with the headshots and names of reporters he planned to call on. Biden also utilized notes during a 2021 summit with Putin, while touring the damage of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana and while calling on reporters at the G20 summit in Rome. “I’ll take your questions, and as usual, folks, they gave me a list of the people I’m going to call on,” Biden told the assembled media at the November forum. Talk about scripted......Look, I'm not coming down on the guy for using notes, I do that as well. But when the questions are coming from "impromptu" reporters "firing off questions" at him IN THE SAME ORDER OF HIS NOTES, I might be a little suspicious it may be staged.......
  2. I get it, there are scientific oddities outside of the norms of male/female BR, I read your "lengthy article" and while paraphrasing, this is the essence of that article. (With a whole lot of scientific mumbo-jumbo) I chose not to be "open minded" I guess. I can define a woman pretty easily and I'm not a biologist. Her answer seemed to emulate a former SOTUS Justice who during his confirmation was asked to define "pornography" “Perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so, But I know it when I see it.” I guess. A better answer from Judge Jackson came later in the hearings when she answered Ted Cruz "I know that I am a woman". Come on, she's a shoe-in, and YES, I get it. I feel like Will Smith wanting to smack Chris Rock for some reason.......AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT BR. 🤣
  3. Nice.....
  4. Dang Bob, take you the whole weekend to come up with that? "And you end up ignoring actual science" The "IDEA" of two sexes is "OVERLY SIMPLISTIC". I guess I am one of the "Uninformed"...... Woman: An adult female person. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) I guess "open-minded" means "come up with your own definition" and/or things/science can just evolve to suit the flavor of the day or argument. (Or else I'm just "close-minded")...... I get it, there are scientific oddities outside of the norms of male/female, but that refers to a natural occurrence, not an "identity choice".
  5. In other words, when she used the words "African American woman" during her opening statement she was disingenuous as to the gender of Judge Motley?
  6. You have to admit, even if you are her biggest fan, she attempted (successfully I would say) at very turn to hide her extremely progressive leanings even to the point you could even make the case to call it lying. Nevermind the "soft on child predators" line of questions conservative Senators tried to hang their hats on since I can see her point in her answers there and can agree for the most part. BUT - Her claiming to be "not familiar" with CRT when she clearly (and it's documented) gave very favorable and glowing speeches regarding it's founders and culture. Her incredible answer when asked to define "woman" indicates a deliberate misdirection or deflection rather than an honest answer making it difficult to identify her judicial or personal philosophy while obviously pandering to the LGBTQ123XYZ..... side of the liberals. SF predicts she will be the most left-wing radical on the SCOTUS when confirmed.
  7. OR - Just wait until age of consent and let it decide it's identity?
  8. When you know it's getting out of hand........
  9. 2 years and 10 months left with this President?
  10. I just hope she's better at her job than Kamala Harris is at hers.......
  11. Yeah, thanks you pompous A$$#0!E........ At least Ginsburg (who also wasn't an idiot, in fact a pretty smart Judge) had some definition of "woman" in her head, and most likely would have an answer to the Senator's question. In today's polarized society, this SCOTUS nominee is skillfully dodging these questions so her true liberal beliefs can remain hidden, and we're all supposed just go Uh-huh, yep, she's pretty smart (Which yes she is) so why worry about her, she'll make a great SCOTUS Judge. She's way further right wing than RBG. The real Ginsburg made this point in her majority opinion in United States v. Virginia, which ordered Virginia Military Institute, the state’s all-male military school, to become coed. There, she wrote that “[p]hysical differences between men and women … are enduring,” and, quoting Ballard v. United States, added, “[t]he two sexes are not fungible.” https://www.heritage.org/courts/commentary/why-ginsburg-fought-discrimination-the-basis-sex-not-gender-identity
  12. 81 million votes....Wink, wink......
  13. Agreed......But a woman who can't (or won't) define a woman as female when asked to is a sure sign of either a political hack, or an idiot. I go with the first one, because she isn't an idiot.
  14. https://nypost.com/2022/03/22/senators-should-ask-ketanji-brown-jackson-whether-she-backs-the-yale-law-hecklers-or-free-speech/ Senators should ask Ketanji Brown Jackson whether she backs the Yale Law hecklers — or free speech By Post Editorial Board March 22, 2022 4:34pm Should Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson join the Supreme Court, she’ll be a role model for students seeking careers in the legal profession. So senators this week should ask her views of protesters who shut down a recent Yale Law School discussion on free speech. The Federalist Society event paired Monica Miller of the progressive American Humanist Association and Kristen Waggoner of the conservative Alliance Defending Freedom. Yet some 120 students refused to tolerate anything the ADF (which they deem an anti-LGBT “hate” group because of its religious-liberty work) might say, so they assaulted the event, raising a ruckus and threatening panelists in a bid to silence them. The protesters stomped, shouted, clapped, sang and pounded the walls nearby, making so much noise it disrupted classes, The Washington Free Beacon reports. They also blocked the only exit and grabbed and jostled at least two FedSoc members. Police had to be called to escort panelists safely from the site. Worse, more than 60% of the law school’s student body (the most privileged future lawyers in the land!) signed a letter backing the protesters. “If you can’t talk to your opponents, you can’t be an effective advocate,” notes Miller, the fellow progressive the mob muzzled. If this behavior is allowed, warns Waggoner (and Yale Law’s done nothing about it), “the future of the legal profession in America is in dire straits.” So: Will would-be Supreme Court Justice Jackson condemn the mob and announce that she won’t hire any of its members as clerks? If not, she doesn’t deserve a single senator’s blessing of her ascent. “If you can’t talk to your opponents, you can’t be an effective advocate,” notes Miller, the fellow progressive the mob muzzled. If this behavior is allowed, warns Waggoner (and Yale Law’s done nothing about it), “the future of the legal profession in America is in dire straits.” Agreed.....
  15. Does anyone else think it spells trouble when a SCOTUS nominee "can't" or won't give a basic definition of "woman". It (IMHO) indicates her obvious leanings towards the progressive ultra-left wing line of thinking. Would it be too much trouble for a well qualified, highly educated sitting Judge to answer that question "female"? She used the term "woman" describing herself yesterday along with the term "black" which I am pretty sure she could and probably would proffer a definition of that word. Bad answer (IMHO). https://www.politico.com/news/2022/03/22/blackburn-jackson-define-the-word-woman-00019543 As the confirmation hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson went into hour 13, Sen. Marsha Blackburn asked the Supreme Court nominee on Tuesday to define the word “woman.” “I can’t — ” Jackson replied. “You can’t?” Blackburn said. “Not in this context. I’m not a biologist,” Jackson said. “The meaning of the word woman is so unclear and controversial that you can’t give me a definition?” Blackburn asked. The Tennessee Republican’s line of questioning hit on nearly every political hot-button issue, from critical race theory to teaching children about gender identity in schools to Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer on the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s team. Jackson said her role as a judge would be to address disputes about a definition and to interpret the law. “The fact that you can’t give me a straight answer about something as fundamental as what a woman is underscores the dangers of the kind of progressive education that we are hearing about,” Blackburn said, before turning to Thomas, who has been at the center of the debate over policies for transgender athletes. Blackburn asked what message allowing Thomas to compete sends to “girls who aspire to compete and win in sports?” “Senator, I’m not sure what message that sends. If you’re asking me about the legal issues related to it — those are topics that are being hotly discussed, as you say, and could come to the court,” Jackson said before Blackburn cut her off, to explain her view of what message this delivers to young women. “I think it tells our girls that their voices don’t matter,” Blackburn responded. “I think it tells them that they’re second-class citizens. And parents want to have a Supreme Court justice who is committed to preserving parental autonomy and protecting our nation’s children.”
  16. Popped in on the SCOTUS hearings during lunch. Reading some of the stories I noticed that Ms. Brown "pushes back" while I recall Kavanaugh's "angrily denying".
  17. Then why the passionate defense? Why not ignore him? Sorry Bobref - I waded into this topic this morning, I really gotta get back to work instead of this stuff.
  18. So satire is now considered hate speech. Too bad, SF actually found it funny (only after hearing on tthe news that Mr./Mrs. Levin was offended and Twitter was deleting it). Kinda makes me think that had Mr./Mrs. Levin ignored it, it wouldn't have become a major advertising event for the Bee. https://nypost.com/2022/03/21/twitter-suspends-babylon-bee-over-rachel-levine-man-of-the-year-title/ Twitter suspends Babylon Bee for naming Rachel Levine ‘Man of the Year’ By Ariel Zilber March 21, 2022 9:47am Updated Twitter locked the account of a right-leaning parody site, The Babylon Bee, after it awarded Rachel Levine, the transgender Biden administration official, the title of “man of the year.” The Babylon Bee story was a reaction to USA Today’s naming of Levine, who is US assistant secretary for health for the US Department of Health and Human Services, as one of its “women of the year” last week. Twitter says it will restore the account, which has more than 1.3 million followers, if the Bee deletes the tweet, but CEO Seth Dillon says he has no intention of doing so. “We’re not deleting anything,” Dillon tweeted from his personal account. “Truth is not hate speech. If the cost of telling the truth is the loss of our Twitter account, then so be it.”
