New Donald Trump thread
swordfish replied to Muda69's topic in Gridiron Out of Bounds's Out of Bound Forum
You are assuming the current polling reports are accurate........(which tells SF a lot about TSG)...... -
Well in fairness - he didn't "experience" the knot......In the new Covid age - Drivers don't even get to the garages before or after the races.......unlike before.....so he didn't even "see" the "noose" in the garage to begin with....... Secondarily and totally IMHO (not related to Bubba) - who would install an operating slip knot on a garage pull? It makes no sense. A loop, yes, but a knot that would or could close shut on one's hand while grabbing hold of it and pulling doesn't seem to be a smart way for a garage door at a professional race track to be operating......no matter the "intent".....So I don't really buy into the "noose" rhetoric surrounding this since I can't visualize a crew putting an operating slipknot on a garage pull...... So in conclusion (again - IMHO) a mid-level NASCAR driver who hasn't won a race at this level and was mostly an unknown is on the verge of becoming (in his mind) the Colin Kaepernick of NASCAR.......when (IMHO) he is actually more suited to become the Danika Patrick of the sport.......except that she actually won an Indy Car race.......

And the whole time I thought this was just another case of white guys exercising privilege.....That's what the news said......"LYNCHING ON THEIR MINDS" https://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2020/07/09/lake-monroe-video-what-we-know-reported-racist-attack/5404814002/ "I was almost the victim of an attempted lynching" https://bloomingtonian.com/2020/07/05/bloomington-man-threatened-with-noose-during-assault-at-lake-monroe/ https://newsone.com/3971792/lake-monroe-lynching-video-bloomington-indiana/ DRAMA!!!

https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2020/07/14/coronavirus-travel-advisory-new-york-airports-health-form/ NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Gov. Phil Murphy are tightening the restrictions on travel into our area, adding four new states to the hot spot quarantine list. The four states added to the advisory list are Minnesota, New Mexico, Ohio, and Wisconsin, bringing the total to 22. Delaware has been taken off the list. Travelers from any of the identified states to New York or New Jersey must quarantine for 14 days. Craig Davis landed at LaGuardia from Georgia, one of the spiking states, and told Duddridge about the process. “Just basic questions, like what state are you coming from? Have you been around anybody who has had any symptoms of the virus,” said Davis, who came in from Atlanta. “I’m not sure what to think yet, because I haven’t studied it, but if it’s to keep the virus down, I’ll give it a thumb’s up.” Passengers either get the form before boarding or in the air, and also can fill it out electronically. It asks for contact information, where the traveler plans to stay, and if you are traveling from a state designated as having a significant amount of community spread. If so, it advises that you must quarantine for two weeks. Duddridge couldn’t find anyone at LaGuardia who objected. “Because there are definitely spikes in other states, so I think it’s necessary,” one traveler said. The new measures apply to anyone who arrives by air, car, bus, or train, but doesn’t apply to essential workers or someone just passing through a state within a 24-hour period. “I’m only here for a day, so it doesn’t affect me, really. I’m kind of happy about that. But I think that’s a good idea for them to put that in place. Just because I know a lot of people are using this downtime to go to other states, get vacations out of it,” said Najoua Alioualla, who arrived from Chicago. Driving your own car into the state is obviously more difficult to enforce, but even at the airport, a more controlled environment, one passenger told Duddridge she slipped through the cracks. “Nobody’s even stopping people. I just seen the sign, so I stopped,” said Atalia Grice, who flew in from Washington. If you don’t fill out a form, you could face a fine of up to $2,000. What’s more, if you violate a quarantine order, you could face a $10,000 penalty, the state said. The mandate was announced Monday as part of Gov. Andrew Cuomo‘s plan to help contain the rate of coronavirus spread. “None of this is pleasant, but we’ve gone through this before. We went through this, watched 3 million Europeans, people from Europe, come into this state, and bringing the virus. Fool me once. We can’t be in a situation where we have people coming from other states in the country, bringing the virus,” Cuomo said. Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday said it’s possible New Jersey could implement similar measures. “We’ll do it our own way, but we’re deadly serious about this. This is a travel advisory,” Murphy said. “We knew when we opened our state up we’d take on more risk of transmission of the virus. But there’s an added element from folks who are coming in from out of state, from hotspots.” What passengers landing in New York said they aren’t sure about is if the state will be following up with them to make sure they’re staying at home. “I’m kind of confused, too, because I mean also it seems like paperwork gets lost super easy, so who knows? I’ll be quarantining. I don’t think they said anything up there, but I know that should be what everyone’s doing,” Andrea Baxter said. “You gotta put your address. You got to be there for 14 days. I’m guessing they’re going to give you a visit within those 14 days you’re supposed to be quarantining?” said traveler Michael Carter, who is quarantining in New York City. Duddridge asked the Gov. Cuomo’s Office, which responded by saying all cases where a quarantine is necessary are being referred to the local health department for compliance and follow up. So, yes, expect to be contacted. One of the comments: Not too long ago I believe I remember the Gov of NY crying and whining because Rhode Island was requiring NY citizens to quarantine. He even threatened to sue to stop the practice. Talk about the height of arrogance and hypocrisy. Does anyone else see (IMHO) the orchestrated moves being made here? I still think sometime around the Dem Convention in August, Cuomo will be the Dem candidate in place of Biden......(IMHO) It's interesting these same people don't think there should be any restrictions on an illegal immigrant and they can't (or won't) find a way to track them, but if you (a US citizen) fly into the State they will find you and if they can't, your getting fined.....

She's not wrong - and I'm not "woke" enough..... I used to think I was pretty much just a regular person, but I was born white, into a two parent household which now labels me as "Privileged", racist and responsible for slavery. I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today's standards, makes me a fascist because I plan & budget. But I now find out that I am not here because I earned it, but because I was "advantaged”. I am heterosexual, which according to some folks, now makes me a homophobe. I believe the Lord did not give me a heart to judge others. I am not a Muslim, which now labels me as an infidel. I believe in the 2nd Amendment, which makes me a threat to the liberals and I get labeled as being part of a militia. I am older than 40, making me a useless person with outdated ideas and values. I think and I reason, and I doubt much of what the "main stream" media tells me, which makes me a "Right-wing conspiracy nut”. I am proud of my heritage and our inclusive American culture, making me a xenophobe. I believe in hard work, fair play, and fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me a target of socialists and Antifa. I believe our system guarantees freedom of effort - not freedom of outcome or subsidies which must make me a borderline sociopath. I believe in a strong defense and protection of America for and by all citizens, now making me a militant. I am proud of our flag, what it stands for and the many who died to let it fly, so I stand and salute during our National Anthem - so I must be a racist. I kneel only for The Cross, which makes me racist. I think the Confederate monuments around our country symbolizes history, so I'm labeled as having hate in my heart when some suddenly are offended by their presence. I'm labeled racist when thinking the erasing of history will potentially cause us to repeat the problems. I think that all lives matter, which labels me as a racist. I support the President, which labels me as a racist. I think the riots and destruction of property around our country is wrong and is just an excuse to push a political agenda, so I'm labeled a racist. I support our cops, which labels me as a racist. I question how fear is being used to control us during the COVID-19 pandemic and think the crisis is being used for political gain, so I'm labeled careless and non-sympathetic. LIberals have tried to make me feel bad about who I am! Based on everything above, some want me to believe I am a bad person; I'm not, I'm a good person who loves my God, my family and my country. Feel free to copy paste!!! I did — feeling fed up. So fed with anyone trying to destroy our America

Is there anyone who can explain how the St. Joseph County (South Bend) Public Health Officer Dr. Fox (interviewed this morning on WSBT Channel 22) can say "The daily Covid case numbers are lower until after Tuesday due to no new testing on the weekends, but the new cases are reported after tests are confirmed and tabulated" Then 20 seconds later explain that the increased testing going on doesn't affect the increased numbers we seem to be experiencing right now......🤪

I & I Editorial Board July 7, 2020 4 comments I&I Editorial The media and many politicians inside the Democratic Party continue to shriek over the recent jump in the number of recorded coronavirus cases, seeking to keep the economy closed at all costs — and we mean that literally. Don’t fall for the argument. The data show that, in fact, our pandemic nightmare might well be coming to an end. OK, you say, Issues & Insights, how can you say such a thing with so little to back it up? Well, firstly, it’s not actually us saying this. It’s the Centers for Disease Control, which reported that the death rate has fallen so far it’s now roughly equal to the threshold for even qualifying as an epidemic, which isn’t as severe as a pandemic. “Based on death certificate data, the percentage of (total U.S.) deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza or COVID-19 (PIC) decreased from 9% during week 25 to 5.9% during week 26,” the CDC noted, adding that this was the 10th-straight week of declining deaths. While the “percentage is currently at the epidemic threshold,” additional data in coming weeks could change that, says the CDC. As a piece on the informative Just The News web site explains, “That threshold for (deaths per week for) pneumonia, influenza and COVID-19 fluctuates slightly depending on the time of year, ranging from around 7% at the height of flu season to around 5% during less virulent months.” So the decline to 5.9% is truly great news, if the trend holds. We’ve reported this decline in COVID-19’s raw death rate before, by the way. The current CDC data compare favorably to the 5.7% average rate for the final 13 weeks of 2019. And yet, here are some of the headlines we’ve read in just the past couple days in the Big Media: “As Trump gaslights America about coronavirus, Republicans face a critical choice ” — CNN “Despite Rising Coronavirus Cases, Trump’s Focus Appears To Be Elsewhere” — NPR “The Economy Is Not Going Back to Normal” — Slate “Coronavirus: FDA chief refuses to back Trump’s vaccine prediction” — BBC “U.S. is still ‘knee-deep’ in the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, Fauci says” — CNN “How America Lost the War on Covid-19” — New York Times You get the idea? Not a hint of optimism, just relentless pessimism about COVID-19, politicized to the Nth degree to make Donald Trump look like a fool or sociopath. And this is just a handful of examples which underscore that the media, with few exceptions steeped in hatred of all things Trump, have never been more negligent in performing their basic duty to inform their readers about COVID-19. And they’ve never been more politicized or biased. We hope Americans remember this as the Trump-hating press continues its suicidal shift toward the far left of the political spectrum. To any serious consumer of fact-based news, our Big Media sadly have lost all credibility. As far as coronavirus is concerned, it’s true that total cases continue to rise. But that’s a function of vastly increased testing, not of surging actual cases, as we’ve noted before. It’s likely that the only real increase in cases in recent weeks has come from the largely unprotected masses of youngish people taking part in the George Floyd demonstrations, which began in late May and continued through June and into July. This can be seen in the fact that new cases lean more heavily now toward the young, rather than the old, a strong sign that the youth-dominated demonstrations boosted infections. Not surprisingly, the media now blame Trump for this. While we’re at it, we’d like to remind you that these are the same “peaceful demonstrators” who have trashed cities across the country for weeks. Just last weekend two people were killed at protests, which “progressive” Democrats supported and defended. Particularly tragic was the death of Secoreia Turner, an 8-year-old African American girl shot by anti-police demonstrators in Atlanta. Yet, even while encouraging riots and violent demonstrations, irresponsible Democratic politicians have ordered average Americans to remain locked down in their homes and forced many businesses to stay closed, doing massive damage to the U.S. economy. Why do this? COVID-19 is another tool for the left to gain social, economic and political control. “It was never about the virus but instead the election,” Brian C. Joondeph, a medical doctor practicing in Denver, recently wrote at the American Thinker. “The so-called surge in cases is more fake news pushed by media cheerleaders eager to destroy the U.S. economy and culture if it makes Trump a one-term president.” As we noted, the really major development is the continued decline in deaths. The virus’ spread is still “an epidemic to be sure, but an entirely manageable one,” as the PowerLine blog described it this week. We agree. In the next few weeks, we’ll see whether the outbreak is truly finished. In the meantime, the political fear stampede over “soaring new coronarvirus cases” has to end. And when it does, we hope Americans call the left to account for its attempt to use a pandemic to destroy our republic. — Written by the I&I Editorial Board So according to the CDC, this is no longer a "Pandemic" and according to the CDC barely qualifies as an epidemic........But while we can encourage civil unrest, justify protests and gatherings without impunity, citizens can't go to a bar, or hang out at the beach, that's simply spreading the virus.......

1 - Define a "holistic" public health oriented approach..... 2 - Get ANYONE to understand what that means...... The LEO's exist to enforce the law. There are a few bad ones and they need weeded out, but this "feel good" approach to enforcing the law will fail wherever it is tried...... This Council will ruin Minneapolis.
