Again - The original projection of over 2.2 million deaths in the US from this virus was what prompted the government to move as swiftly as they did (In January and February) and supported the wholesale closing of the United States policies. All 50 states. That was my original point. That projection was then lowered to 1 million, then 1-200,000 , then 80,000, now 60,000. (Which is a normal flu year). This was certainly not worth it (IMHO - now waiting for the expected "what if it was your mother, you'd be thinking different")

Not trying to blame....just pointing out the ludicrousness of this. When the result of the original modelling pointed towards 2.5 million plus deaths in the US was the shutdown we are currently in, and the latest numbers are now 60,000 or less (a miraculous 3% of the original - less than last season's flu numbers) - then you explain how this was not a serious over-reaction resulting in the destruction of our millions of livelihoods with no end in sight. Experts.......

Wonder if ABC is going to issue a correction? https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/defense-national-security/pentagon-denies-abc-news-report-that-intelligence-warned-of-cataclysmic-coronavirus-pandemic-last-november WHAT, WHEN DID DOD KNOW?: The National Center for Medical Intelligence issued a rare public denial of a report by ABC News, which alleged that “concerns about what is now known to be the novel coronavirus pandemic were detailed in a November intelligence report” by the NCMI, which is part of the Defense Intelligence Agency. "Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," according to an unnamed source who told ABC the reports were then “briefed multiple times,” to the DIA, the Pentagon’s Joint Staff, and the White House. ‘NO SUCH PRODUCT' EXISTS: The ABC News report, which alleged that 2019 intelligence depicted an “American government that could have ramped up mitigation and containment efforts far earlier to prepare for a crisis poised to come home,” sent Pentagon officials scrambling to find the report in question. “NCMI and the Defense Intelligence Agency spent considerable time over the last 24 hours examining every possible product that could have been identified as related to this topic and have found no such product,” said a defense official last night. That, in turn, prompted Col. R. Shane Day, a medical doctor and director of the DIA’s National Center for Medical Intelligence, to issue a rare public statement. "As a matter of practice, the National Center for Medical Intelligence does not comment publicly on specific intelligence matters,” Day said. “However, in the interest of transparency during this current public health crisis, we can confirm that media reporting about the existence/release of a National Center for Medical Intelligence Coronavirus-related product/assessment in November of 2019 is not correct. No such NCMI product exists." ESPER WOULD HAVE KNOWN: Defense Secretary Mark Esper was questioned about the purported November intelligence assessment by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on last Sunday’s episode of This Week. “Did the Pentagon receive an intelligence assessment on COVID in China last November from the National Center for Medical Intelligence of DIA?” Stephanopoulos asked. “Oh, I can't recall, George,” said Esper, who didn’t seem to know what Stephanopoulos was referring to. “But,” he said, “we have many people who watch this closely.” “This assessment was done in November, and it was briefed to the NSC in early December to assess the impact on military readiness, which, of course, would make it important to you, and the possible spread in the United States,” pressed Stephanopoulos. “So, you would have known if there was briefed to the National Security Council in December, wouldn't you?” “Yes,” Esper agreed, adding, “I'm not aware of that.” -

How do the atheists feel about the missed days in the school system being deemed/classified as "act of god" ? -
In the infection and allergy medical field - he IS the almighty. Dr. Fauci is the nation's leading doctor on this topic and his long time experience and position at NIAID and the White House Task Force will prohibit him ENDORSING something that has no solidly achieved data to support it. He will need solid data before he can prescribe it wholesale, so he will remain to be a stick in the mud on this one, of course, but doctors will still pursue this treatment, especially if it has a history that nets good results. Anyone else getting tired of the NY Governor losing his mind over ventilators/respirators? As of this morning, over 4,000 (additional to NY's current inventory) were delivered and yet he is asking for 26,000. NYC has less than 16,000 confirmed cases to date......and less than 1/4 of those cases even need hospitalization....... Cuomo has been pretty good through this pandemic, but he's losing my respect over this one......

According to Mr. Paul, he had not been experiencing any symptoms and had only decided to be tested because of a possible exposure. Still doesn't have any symptoms......so I'm sure it was status quo until a positive. Had he paid attention to the CDC guidelines and not tested until he had symptoms, he may never had known he was positive. And neither would we.
