Yes as Carroll let the game go through their hands as did Penn in the Carroll game. However, Carroll was hitting big plays on O and D left and right during that game.

Playing neutral site games? If team like Penn were playing Center Grove, mid way point would be Kokomo. I am not sure if this works out well for the smaller schools where you could have a team down in Evansville playing a team from South Bend. Might as well as save that for the state title game. I think this would be better for regionals. Where sectional 1 could rotate and play 2,3 and 4 every 3 seasons. This shakes things up a little. I under stand they are trying to even out travel, but in a large number of situations regional games are 1.5-2 hrs away.

Can Warren pull off yet another upset?

The missed field goal was a facepalm, plus Carroll gained 16 yards on the miss. In that situation we have been struggling the last two games with the snap and hold situation I feel we should have gone for it. The O just couldn't stay on the field.

That would then mean Penn would be 22 and Carroll would be like 19. I think these 3 6A true north teams are similar but not that low. I know you have angst towards CP, but I think they are better than the teams behind them in Temps rankings. Would Penn have broke the top 10 with a win over Carroll?

If they can keep Hall and Hurley for their senior years...Penn should be able to reload on O. The D is graduating some big parts of the D.

This 6A tournament has been full of surprises. I didn't see Warren winning, the last two Penn games have been back and forth battles. I was deflated after the 3rd and 10 80 yard td from Carroll. I wish Carroll the best, I am tired of watching Penn get beat on their home field. But, that was a heck of a game. We just fell short in a wild back and forth game.

The worst Special teams game I had seen up to that game was the BD 2017 state title game. Just bonehead errors on KOR, I am sure we surrendered a return and fumbled a punt and KOR. But last week was bad.

Do you think that maybe Luers give up the yards but just not give up the points? If that is the case Myles career ends in semi-state but could still achieve the record. Man it will be interesting to see what happens.

Are we talking like 500 yards against Angola or more? I have not seen Luers, but know that they are never an easy out. Small school that typically plays teams above their weight class. Could Myles get 240 against Luers?

Sectional 21 and 22 appeared to be loaded based on records and schools in the sectionals. sectional 19 had 5 teams with winning records in their sectional. 17, 18, 20, 23 & 24 appear to be top heavy. Man, the Kingsmen have to roll with the Huskies, rivals in conference but cheerleaders in the playoffs. Good luck St. Joe.

If/When Myles breaks this record, it will have his name on it, but that will be 100% team earned. The real question is can Angola slow him down enough to make Myles earn the record during the state title game. Based on his normal per game average Myles could come close to breaking the record in Semi-State, but would essentially just need to show up for the state game. Myles per max prep is recording 366 yards per game. That would put him 5 yards short of the record. With him just needing essentially a first down to break the record at the state game. It would be a huge moment for him to break the record at the State game, but if I were him I would want that done and over with before state so, there is no additional distraction to the biggest game of his and his teammates lives.

Comeback starts now! I don't know who is trying to take the most points or actually believes that Penn wins the Carroll game, but I like how many people are taking Penn in this game.

I have come around on the steps Penn has taken. I have dogged Penn hard for their decision making in the last few seasons. Lack of faith in the administration to put a staff together that actually wants to win a state title. I think Penn has a long way to go, but I am much more encouraged by the way these players are performing under this staff than teams did in the past. We all know that Penn would have folded after that first play, against CP and the first quarter vs Mishawaka, in years past. This team has been punched hard in the mouth and rebounded quickly. I will still try to remain as fair as possible when it comes to expectations, but I believe that Penn has firmly taken a step in the right direction this year. Even if Carroll comes out and wins this game soundly. Penn is back on the right path. Go Kingsmen! The missed PAT will solely be on the snap or the hold. I don't remember the last time this kicker missed a PAT. But, I love the way you think...Redemption tour continues.
