  1. I agree this is the most likely scenario.
  2. I mean even if you support the theory that this is totally on the official, the narrative that this "cost" the Lions a TD just isn't the case. The official then also robbed the Cowboys of knowing who to defend, and had they had known....the outcome would likely have been different anyway.
  3. If you look at the larger window....it is definitely a possibility he is looking right past 68 toward 70 who is running in at the him...like he did the other times he reported. In a attempt to game the Cowboys the Lions ended up confusing the official. I can't feel bad for them.
  4. Correct...and 70 had reported multiple times before in an effort to set up the ruse for this play when they sent two guys....68 got there a little late after the ref took off to inform the Cowboys about #70. Perhaps he yelled "me too ref", we will never really know.
  5. The p/p advantages go away at 4A enrollment numbers, for the most part, but definitely at 5A numbers. That's when you finally get enough quality success-driven athletes in your hallways to overcome the ones who join a club of like-minded individuals in 1A-3A.
  6. So just for sh*ts & giggles if you were voting for say all conference or all state which kicker would you choose ? Player #1 77 Points 6-8 FG 38 yd longest 59 XP 26 touchbacks on KO 15 games 5.1 pts a game Player #2 88 Points 12-14 FG 45 yd longest 52 XP 34 touchbacks on KO 14 games 6.3 pts a game

  14. It's pretty common in the 4 corners of the state to have county rivalries....even if the games aren't competitive.
  15. I appreciate the thoughtful response. I agree that the proximity to urban areas is a big factor....but again, more so for the p/p because in my view this is really a 1A to 3A problem. With regard to publics, the schools just get bigger in the urban areas and once you get over 1000 kids or so the issue with student population type goes away just due to sheer economies of scale.
