  1. It's a difficult concept.
  2. https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/high-school/2026/05/12/darin-ward-hired-as-boonville-high-school-athletic-director/90038011007/ Darin Ward new AD in Boonville!
  3. Nick Beloat was approved to be Princeton’s interim football coach next season at the North Gibson School Corporation board meeting on May 11. Beloat was on staff as the Tigers’ offensive coordinator during Derek Archer’s lone season as coach in 2025. Princeton finished the season with a 3-7 record, but Beloat contributed to Princeton’s offense, generating more yards and points than they had in a decade.
  4. I have posted on multiple facebook threads that this is a nothing burger.
  5. It's just one of those things where football isn't sexy in the building and not sexy even deeper in the community. They have very nice facilites (very nice weight room) and will be spending 40 million over the next two years on even nicer facilies. They have the athletes you would expect a school their size to have....everything is there but football is just broken. Usually, for a turn around, you have to have a large grass roots movement to fix the youth and feeder leages etc. It's a big hill to climb for a new coach to come in there and single handedly fix the program from top to bottom (if that is even possible). The entire commuinty has to want it first in my opinion. I will say they looked much more organized and polished on the field under Coach Archer than they had previously. They haven't beaten their county rival in 25 years.
  6. Word on the street is that Princeton has a HC opening.
  7. Do the folks at the IHSAA actually know anything about how football is practiced?
  8. Calpreps still exist...I use it during season. https://hsratings.com/cgi-bin/2026/view_page.pl
  9. So sorry for the loss for the Linton Football Program. The posts he did here regarding Linton Football past and present were amazingly detailed. No one would have ever guessed his age.
  10. Enrollment isn’t a great measuring stick for a lot of reasons. The biggest one is the wide variation in student participation—especially in extracurriculars. That’s really what allows private and parochial schools to punch above their weight (enrollment-wise) in 1A through 4A. After that, the advantage shifts. Larger public schools benefit from economies of scale—more depth, more kids to draw from—which helps balance things out at the higher classes.
  11. GS beat at the time #1 4A Heritage Hills and #1 3A Memorial. If the GS QB doesn't break both bones in his leg in the Regional game GS is sitting on another set of blue rings. On a side note GS loses their second best DL on the second snap of the game. Title runs always have a bit of luck. GS still has a shot to win the Cascade game late (without their QB without their #2 DL) with a JV QB who threw 4 picks.
  12. As with most playoff runs for most teams....Cascade caught a major break.
  13. Agree.....is there really much difference in making it to the State Title game and actually winning the State Title in terms of judging the competitivess level of a program?
  14. It's tough...even if you go more with the Major roads...Hunitingburg is always kind of a tweener. That said....31 is always so crazy weak.
  15. Here are 31 and 32 on a map...just curious on how you would have like to have seen this done?
  16. Going to add Crimsonace's map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1k2u-A78p_SsvD9pLgQb2WNQtN-xHkHI&usp=sharing
  17. Or even just slide Princeton into 31 so that slot is available for HH to come back down.
