The p/p hegemony continues unabated

Come on man....if a private institution can't stand on its own feet then the government should subsidize it? No one is keeping those attending a private institution from doing just that. These institutions should receive ZERO tax dollars! There is no right to it....that is just laughable. If you can afford to send your kid to one so be it, that's great....live with your choice and your unfair advantage in athletics. Don't look to the government for help. It's funny many of you guys identify as conservative, how hypocritical. -

So the government should reward private businesses for not using their services? Perhaps the government should subsidize your health insurance company for you not participating in Obamacare. Is that where we are headed? When you choose to pay for a customized enhanced service, you forfeit your rights. That’s the point I think you’re missing. -

The right isn’t fundamental when one chooses to purchase an enhanced version. Once one steps out of the confines of what is fundamental, you have chosen the better option (the pay for play option). Kind of like the seafood upgrade at the Buffett. Your dollars provide and enhanced and improved service including inherent athletic and educational advantages. Privatization in its purest form. Services rendered. Fundamentals bypassed and unnecessary to support the business. Let’s save the subsidies for stuff that fails like green energy. -

The kid can do anything they ask him...they just need to ask him to do the right things. I'm not so worried about the whole route tree as I am route combinations and reads designed to defeat the defense rather than trying to beat the defense with athleticism alone. None of our QBs over the past 12 years can even tell you what a route tree is.

My top three (in order) are: 1. Michael Lindauer (Evansville Memorial) 2. Jordan Scheller (Gibson Southern) maybe a hair over a decade 3. Brady Allen (Gibson Southern) (Senior Year was really special) Jett has a shot if the coaching staff actually develops passing concepts in their offense other than "go deep".

We used to have one school wide one (totally parent ran)...it kind of died off with lack of leadership in the past few years. Individual sports one have taken it's place in recent years (again totally removed from the school). These groups are incorporated for purposes of 501C3 reporting and the school really wants nothing to do with it. From my understanding this is more the norm in the land of publics. Finding money can be challenging if a sport that doesn't have a strong booster group and makes a deeper than expected run in the playoffs. Said another way, the schools do nothing to raise private funding. In some cases Coaches choose to take it upon themselves.

At most publics the AD has nothing to do with the any of the Booster clubs. Man, starting to see a trend here.

Way too early pre-season rankings: Chime in! Big School 1. Heritage Hills 2. Gibson Southern 3. Boonville 4. Mt. Vernon 5. Washington 6. Princeton Small School 1. Tell City 2. Southridge 3. North Posey 4. Forest Park 5. South Spencer 6. Pike Central 7. Tecumseh

40k exceeds most publics booster funds entire yearly budget significantly. The Meeks are generous, however, how is a company named Gibco and not in Gibson County? I suggest they relocate immediately! https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=776747077700875 chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://city-countyobserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Mar25-2010-completeissue.pdf https://www.gibcomotorexpress.com/home

I thought this was interesting enough to share. I saw an interview with Sean DeLong where he was asked who was the most physical team the Titan's played this season within that difficult schedule. Playing both RB and WR he would have a good feel for that. He indicated (without pause and without hesitation), that the most physical team Gibson Southern played in 2023 was Mt. Carmel and he added that is wasn't even close. Keep in mind the list includes South Warren, Boyle County and Heritage Hills (sorry Vincennes LOL). I just found that interesting enough to share.

Could not agree more. Geographically there is NO WAY Indiana should be on Eastern Time.
