  1. PROGRAM consequences.
  2. There are few “big consequences” of bowl games outside of the playoff. They are basically your team’s spring game for the following season. IU is in a Saturday time slot across from one other game at a time when most folks are locked inside and starving for action. Nothing that happens in the “Outback Bowl” negates the season that IU had, nor makes any difference in the trajectory of the program. Minnesota surprised Auburn in this very same game last year and look how that worked out. They were anointed the next big thing in the B10 West and then finished sub .500. IU fans, sit back and bask in the glory that was a historic campaign and enjoy watching your team for 3 more hours. You’ll be much happier.
  3. Not based on what I’m reading on here. No way. The Kansas City Chiefs are the only ones that can challenge IU and they are too elite to participate in such a ridiculous bowl game.
  4. And the boosters/alums of course.
  5. I think you may have answered your own question. You make great points but the “3-7 against Saban” comment may be the key. Folks in administration just don’t get how difficult it is to compete with the elites year in and year out in college football. LSU “sold its soul” to win it all in 2020 and is already paying the price. The problem is if you asked nearly every single person on the roster or staff if it was worth it? Bet they’d say “yes.” With the way the NCAA is set up, the rewards of cheating outweigh any potential risks. Bet they are really suffering by not playing in the Meineke Car Care Bowl next week.
  6. Was Kareem Hunt the Chiefs representative? Sweetness should be rolling over in his grave. Might as well rename the award after Ray Rice while we’re at it...
  7. Right on time. Name calling and all. Way to come out swinging.
  8. Can’t really disagree here.
  9. You’ve never tried to assault someone? I mean, we all have bad days. Come on.
  10. Just make sure to social distance while you’re in there. Or type all responses with your mask on. Which is it again?
  11. In the two areas (St. John/Crown Point) that are the subject of this post. Carmel and CG notwithstanding...
  12. Standard of living is higher though, correct?
  13. Well, college football was just a microcosm of society as a whole. 1. “Big ten teams must play a minimum of 6 games.” Never mind. 2. “Big Ten teams must adhere to a 21 day protocol.“ Never mind. Absolutely ZERO consistency and ever changing rules drafted in pencil. Different rules for the elites. Can I be done now fellas?
  14. Yep...and their government brass can roam about as they please and host gatherings as they wish. Ok, I’m done.
  15. Whichever one is on the central Indiana teaching/salary schedule...
  16. Less than one year removed from a national title, LSU is cleaning house in terms of their defensive staff. Guess they can get a head start on the search after that “self imposed bowl ban...”
  17. Dabo placed the Buckeyes 11th in his final coaches poll, which is public, lol.
  18. Calling his bluff on that. Actions would have spoken louder than words.
  19. 🙄
  20. So, I should bet the over?
  21. It’s back for 2020! Group ID: GID 2010 Rank games in terms of confidence after you choose your winners. http://fantasy.espn.com/college-bowl-mania/2020/en/group?groupID=284131 Good luck!
  22. Look at the standings. You tell me.
  23. Can we judge Ole Miss’ defense on a level equal to IU’s? Based on the teams mentioned above, is that fair? They are by no means elite, but speak softly when you throw them under the bus. They are playing against future NFL offensive skill players week in and week out, whereas IU took advantage of a soft Big 10. And, no, it’s not the Hoosiers’ fault the Big Ten was down but you can’t have it both ways. Is it Ole Miss’ fault they play in the SEC West? IU fans: From happy to make a bowl game to holier than thou, too good for a New Year’s Day Bowl game in less than a year... There’s a reason it’s a 7 point spread folks. It’s not that far fetched to say Ole Miss would have finished third in the Big Ten East this year, is it?
  24. Heard the same thing about Minnesota and Purdue two years ago...
