  1. Very rarely is the boys swimming state meet close. Not as lopsided as the girls but I see your point. Imagine "only" winning 13 state championships in the last two decades and being in the shadow of your girls program.
  2. 1. A 2-3 record indicates that this is NOT "a good Wisconsin team." 2. Road wins mean less in 2020 than ever and I could actually make a case that playing on the road is an ADVANTAGE in the current setup. 3. Penn State is 3-5. They are also not a good team that is worth boasting about. Teams ARE what they ARE at this point in the season. 4. I used to get upset about these things, but as I mentioned in the Notre Dame thread, SEC teams ALWAYS get a bump. Hell, A&M is likely getting a free pass to the playoff despite not winning its OWN division after this weekend's games shake out. 5. You used "Iowa State" in your title to simply push your "IU is getting screwed" agenda. 6. I couldn't care less that IU is a good football team. Its actually pretty damn cool to see.
  3. Gimme Indiana’s best win and a projected score were they to play Florida or Georgia on a neutral field.
  4. Kid left a mega school (Warren) to attend TC Howe after a certain basketball coach didn’t get the gig at Howe. Keep up here champ.
  5. Almost as good as drive thru which is so commonly accepted.
  6. Not “my scenario” by any means. I’ve just heard a lot of this rhetoric in the past and I think it would actually do the reverse of its intent. Carmel Clay schools would go 1-2 in boys/girls swimming, golf and cross country most years, would have half of the final four in football, soccer and basketball more often than not and that would take even more opportunities away from other schools.
  7. Let’s wait and see. You make some valid points and I believe they have some merit in the ball sports but I drove past CC a dozen times without even noticing it was a school. Whether actively or not, I can see them “pulling in” talent cast away from some of the central Indiana mega schools but 2021 will tell us if it’s a trend.
  8. He’s referencing Carmel, Ben Davis, Warren and Penn.
  9. Nah, I just added that for dramatic effect. I think they’d send them in the same direction.
  10. Unpopular opinion: Splitting Carmel into two schools only doubles their chances at advancing deep into the tournament. Two schools of 2700 with a f/r/l of under 10 percent does nothing in terms of competitive balance, as DT likes to call it. It’d be even more hilarious to see the outrage if they split them into a north and south type deal and sent them opposite ways in the tournament. Be careful what you wish for...
  11. Temptation’s Final Vegas Odds: Steele: 3/1 McCulley: 8/1 Fisher: 10/1
  12. NEVER, EVER has our society been so obsessed and numbers/stat driven. Pancake blocks just don't stand out to the average person (sorry @Coach Nowlin) as much as yardage and touchdowns. Not sure we will ever see a primarily defensive player win it again either, unless he takes significant snaps on offense.
  13. I just don't understand how you can expect people to take you seriously when you sound so foolish.
  14. "Ain't no way!! Couldn't be my kid," James wrote on Instagram. "Hell if I there and it's not even my kid we gone have more than words for sure."
  15. No doubt. Pretty easy project really.
  16. Handing Notre Dame their last loss is the only thing Michigan fans have to hang their hat on right now. Easy now Bob.
  17. Covenant Christian’s “program” is just getting started...
  18. And the “need” for “new” administrative positions seems to be growing in certain places it seems. Some schools are willing to admit it, others think they are hiding it. Just look at some of the job titles on the Gateway site.
  19. Not definitively, no. But I have had 5 more opportunities to see ND play so their resume is more complete. They have also beaten Clemson, who is better than anyone Ohio State has played and won AT North Carolina who I believe is on par with Indiana. You just made a Michigan fan throw up, congratulations.
  20. It was part of the Warren Central Classic. Same day Ted Ginn Sr brought Cardale Jones and the Tarblooders to play Warren.
  21. Confirmed. Not hearsay. Fact.
  22. I never thought I'd defend ND, but you are spot on. Even with a loss to Clemson in the ACC title game, one could make the argument they are more deserving of the playoff bid over OSU (which will never happen).
