Well-- I doubt they're one year contracts, FC will make two of those trips next year, but.... the POINT was.... FC is in a tough spot to schedule, as everyone is that is an hour+ from Indy, specifically in the south and as a big school. There just isn't that many teams.

So--- Floyd would look like (in no particular order) Gibson Memorial Bloom South Seymour New Albany Jeff BNL Col East Whiteland Solid, especially if East can get back to where (ish) they should be. Only other solid options for Floyd-- Col North, East Central, Castle, and Ev North. That's really solid schedule. no

Are they not two year contracts? I guess one might be a one year with Bloom S joining, but that's 80 miles and the length of time isn't any different.

proximity wise it's totally understandable though... some areas, well basically anything outside of "more than an hour from Indy" are in a scheduling crunch... Bloomington South even saw the ramifications of that... Thankfully for FC--- no longer playing JC and Vincennes moving out of the SIAC-- has offered some flexibility. All three of these adds are still pretty hefty drives. 105 miles to Whiteland, 106 miles to GS, and 111 miles to Ev Memorial.

I was in a men's league (no requirement for mouthpieces) and watched a dude get his s*** rocked on a crossing pattern... brain bleed, carted off the field on a stretcher.

Well... it's inevitable. It's just not smart not to wear a mouthpiece. But in the summer, too. We don't practice in the spring.

I will say... ANYTIME the kids are on a football field, they should be wearing mouthpieces. Some of the wording of these rules needs altered for everyone to understand that.

It's the NIT lol Pop tarts bowl had 9 million viewers, they aren't close. (the 2nd largest viewed bowl game of the year, and it's reasonable to believe ND pushes that number of 10 million, easy)... Plus they gave up 3 million ish dollars... I would have been pissed had I been a player, don't get to play in a conference championship game AND no bowl game?

Did you compare a bowl game (vs a T25 team) to the NIT? lol

Lapel has to be the favorites in the North. BC lost an immense amount, but still bring some excellent players back, added some upperclassmen who weren't playing football last year, and add in an undefeated JV team (for the 3rd straight year). I know Cascade lost a lot (still probably pretty darn good), South Putnam is excellently coached (no idea what their roster looks like), Providence is well coached, and Linton lost a lot... and they're obviously well-coached, also. My guess would be 2A South will be between one of these 5 teams.

One might think they'd want the school that just played in a state title 🤪 Hope so. Semi state in 3A south is nothing to sneeze at though... Lawrenceburg, Batesville, Heritage Hills, Memorial, Mater Dei, Gibson Southern, Southridge... that's tall cotton.

Muncie Central open week 4-- wow those color schemes are similar Greenfield is open week 5 Ev North still has Vincennes on their week 7 slate-- could pick them up moving forward Cathedral open week 7 this year

CG is a completely different animal to schedule that Bloomington South, buuuuut, yes, its for sure harder to schedule as an independent. I feel like-- you could get games with North, Col North, Col East, East Central every year, pretty easily.... surely you could get some of Mooresville, Martinsville, Plainfield, DC, Greenwood to agree to some games... Floyd Central Terre Haute schools for the time being, Roncalli, Chatard, Northview... look to Evansville now that Vincennes is out. Castle, Evansville North.
