Hey, for decades their home field was a landfill in the making. Who does that?
Not only was it built on a landfill, Duck Creek was rerouted from a NW to SE diagonal across the field to a path around and under the visitors bleachers. That's why when Duck Creek flows out of its banks the field is flooded.

It’s “death knell,” not “nail,” although come to think of it, that sort of works in a mixed metaphor kind of way.
But you’re correct. It amazes me that people who have been so successful can be so tone deaf. Like Nero fiddling while Rome burned.
Or.... last nail in the coffin ......

I always thought the Mishawaka "Lady Cavemen" was kind of a weird nickname.
Why not Cavewomen ? Just a thought .

Ok, that is a solid argument.... the roster at Hobart has had more Montez, Flores, Guterrez, Torres, Washington, Jefferson, Smith, Brown than 20 years ago. So what is your opinion on the demographic shift ?

21 hours ago, HHF said:The Region Sports Network out of Highland is reporting that former State Champion Lowell Head Coach Kirk Kennedy is taking over at Kankakee Valley.Along with John Barron's hiring at John Glenn, this one stands out as one of the biggest hires of the offseason.Kennedy had a sparkling record at Lowell, going 161-70 with 10 sectional, 6 regional, 3 semi states and 1 state championship in 2005.Kennedy left Lowell for Bloomington South in 2010 and had a miserable experience as he tried to completely overhaul that program, going 4-26 over 3 seasons. After spending the 2013 season back up north at North Judson (3-8), he left for Franklin County in the EIAC, posting a 4 year record of 24-18.Kankakee Valley, despite some nice homegrown talent, has been a model of inconsistency, churning thru 8 coaching staffs over the past 20 seasons. The Kougars, who play in the Northwest Crossroads Conference with Hobart, Andrean, Lowell, Highland , Munster and soon to be added Hanover Central, have never been a consistent threat in the conference nor in the post season. On paper, its a great match. Kennedy will learn quickly if KV is more like his old Lowell teams that would run thru fire for him, or the Bloomington kids who shunned his harsh methods. Either way, this might be KVs best opportunity to show that it takes its varsity football program seriously.Should be fun to watch.KV currently has 1 open date on its schedule (Munster not shown on current schedule). Look for Kennedy to immediately work his way out of any future commitments with smaller schools like North Newton and Wheeler and upgrade the schedule so he can push his team to its limits. The Rensselaer game will remain as it is as the Cracker Barrel Rivalry is a huge gate for both hosting schools.Aug. 19 Rensselaer Central 2A 7:00 pmAug. 26 Wheeler 2A 7:00 pmSep. 9 at North Newton 2A 7:00 pmSep. 23 at Lowell 4A © 7:00 pmSep. 30 Hobart 4A © 7:00 pmOct. 7 Andrean 2A © 7:00 pmOct. 14 at Highland 4A © 7:00 pm
Are you sore that you didn't get the scoop ?

Hobart has nearly 27% Hispanic, 8% Black and 47% FRL, yet they have done quite well at 8-4, 11-3, 11-3 and a visit to LOS in the last three seasons.

Care to elaborate more? How do you "lose" a Pop Warner system?
The same way River Forest/Lake Station lost theirs.

There was a guy that used to write this way on RSN many years ago... drove most of the posters nuts. It was kind of fun to try and read some of the posts. I took a real skill to follow the posts.

Here's a scary thought (far-fetched as it may be)
1) Biden nominates Harris to SCOTUS (assuming she passes the hearing process)
2) Biden picks Hillary for VP (and gets his pick through a simple majority of both houses of Congress)
3) Biden retires (or his presidency ends in any manner after January 20, 2022)
4) Hillary becomes the next President........
Boom.......
Bizarre, but possible, far-fetched for sure. Stranger things have happened.

Nope. Not a one. Unless he chooses to point the thumb and not the finger, I really have no further care to hear what he has to say regarding that game.
Stick the fork in... he done!

I agree, this is going to be a good game. As a Chicago fan I do not support GB. Each to his own and all that stuff.

Yes....To add to my factual points, if it sounds crazy that Cousins would sit in a meeting, "shielded" by plexiglass. Imagine how crazy it is for kids being forced to sit in class while "shielded" from the covid by plexiglass.
I will never take anything serious from a punter who was face down, naked and drunk on the side of a highway.
You do you though.
You make a fair statement, a bit off topic but fair.

Wait a minute! I was always told size didn’t matter! 😉
Someone was lying to you. In any case, if it was bigger with say four D cells it could create a more dangerous object !

If it was over a specified length it could be a 15 yard penalty !
