Harbaugh’s Hands Caught in Cookie Jar

That is funny!!! Noticed Franklin just fired another OC. How many has he went through? At what point does the AC and President realize he's the biggest part of the trend of an inept offense? I believe PSU just gave him a huge long term contract a couple of years ago. -

Not discounting your quote. Sounds like BD made some nice adjustments at half. BB must not have… I didn’t read entire quote…did Hart and his staff take any ownership?? BTW, don’t get to take away explosive plays. They count just as much as long drives. Much of the time, giving up big plays are killers. -
Fair point. Last 2 games, not pretty offensively. Hopefully not becoming a trend

Agreed...still trying to figure out how they won last 2 games scoring 2 total offensive TD's. Good thing they were playing Carolina and NE. There are some bad offenses in the NFL this year...my concern is that the Colts are one of them.

...hadn't allowed a few bad plays......perhaps the other team might have had something to do with that..... Didn't Brownsburg main back have 161 yds on 25 carries and 3 TD's? I understand they may have been some big runs, but those count as well. -

looks like media is reporting that the Big 10 office will offer up a response this afternoon. We shall see.... https://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverines/2023/11/10/michigan-football-big-ten-response-sign-stealing-jim-harbaugh-connor-stalions-tony-petitti/71528951007/ -

Little bit of a misleading stat...given strength of schedule plays very much into those numbers. What does stand out to me if BD's performances against Moeller, Carmel and Larry North. BD dropping 62 on a pretty darn good Larry North team really raised my eyebrows. No question BD has an excellent QB and excellent team. But they are very fortunate to be heading into the regional, as I still believe they got some help from Brownsburg. (another excellent team) If I had to put money on this game, I would put it on BD...I think most would. But, never count out the Irish...and it will come down to the team that makes the least mistakes. -

Its the oldest defense game in the book....deflection based on taking the finger pointed at oneself, by pointing it back at others. I will repeat, if Rutgers and Purdue are cheating in the same fashion as Michigan, they really stink. Wonder who are their Connor Stalions?? Haven't seen those schools be given accusations with a name or letting any of their staff go like Michigan has done. -

High school kids...mistakes are frequently a key part of the game. Very bold statement....Cathedral teams execute and they have an outstanding QB...with some guys that can catch it. BD may win, but I think this will be a hard fought game. -

if true they are all breaking rules, then they all need to reap the consequences...... BTW, the one that is being accused of the cheating is now accusing others....and if Purdue and Rutgers is sign stealing and illegally scouting, then they really have issues...... -

Yes...we agree on the word preliminary....and you made it sound like NCAA has drawn conclusions. They aren't close. You really have no idea if what every Big 10 has or does when it comes to "sign guys". You make it sound like UM carry's the sledge hammer and will pull it out if needed...give me a break. They brought in legal counsel because they needed the help internally. The biggest worry to the Big 10 Commish isn't the threat of Michigan...its about potential loss of revenue to his conference. I hope Penn State whips Michigan's a$$ this weekend, then some of the impact issue is negated for him. UM suspended their head coach to ward off an even stiffer penalty...and they can't be happy they are drug into this type of publicity again...twice in one season. -

NCAA investigation is anything but concluded. Every accounting I have read is that they will take months. So your comment making it sound like the NCAA has drawn conclusions about Harbaugh is really far off. I will never buy Stalions acted alone. It may well end up him being 100% the patsy, but if anyone believes that, they should invest in Louisiana swamp land. UM has hired an attorney because this will end up being about $$. Only reason why they are threatening to fight back. They can't be thrilled that this is the 2nd issue with their football team this year alone, with the first one resulting in UM suspending their head coach. -

Plus, leave the grass high and run the sprinklers 24 hours prior...makes for a nice sloppy, slow running surface. -

My guess is that will happen....but in the meantime, the Center Grove Bantam Football League jumped on that a few years back....... -

Rookie Big 10 commissioner...UM threatening to fight....could be entertaining today..... https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38845395/michigan-big-ten-reach-sign-stealing-crossroads Michigan was expected to send its response to the Big Ten by the end of Wednesday, but any discipline from league commissioner Tony Petitti was not expected until Thursday at the earliest. The likeliest penalties, including a suspension, would focus on Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh rather than the entire team, sources told ESPN. Former Michigan staff member Connor Stalions, at the center of the NCAA's investigation, resigned from his position Friday after initially being suspended with pay. The biggest question around college football this week is: What will Petitti do? "This is going to get ugly," a Michigan source told ESPN. "We don't think this is fair that 13 schools gang up on one and the commissioner will just give in. Does [Petitti] have the authority? No question. But we have a lot of levers of power, too." -

Guess UM heard from the Big 10 Saturday and has until Weds to respond.....looks like they are saying Harbaugh not linked to the scandal. Looks like they have their scapegoat with Scalions...note reference below that Stalions is believed to have used up to 65 associates to scout games. Will be interesting if we ever learned who was directing and funding him in these efforts. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/2023/11/06/michigan-big-ten-disciplinary-action-sign-stealing/71474290007/ https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-ncaa-revealed-michigan-findings-to-big-ten-conference-mulling-jim-harbaugh-suspension-212327599.html' Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti’s pursuit of potential penalties against Harbaugh is the latest chapter in an ongoing saga that has gripped the college football world. Michigan, 9-0 and No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings, travels to Penn State on Saturday for a top-10 meeting in what will be, by far, the Wolverines’ toughest test of the year so far. Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel is skipping out on his duties with the College Football Playoff committee this week so he can focus on the school's response to the investigation. Michigan’s sign-stealing scheme, reported first on Oct. 19 by Yahoo Sports, is believed to be an elaborate multi-year endeavor to scout and record opponents’ play-call signals. At the center of the scheme is a former low-level analyst, Connor Stalions, who failed to cooperate with NCAA investigators last week and was dismissed, according to sources. The school announced Friday that he resigned. Stalions is believed to have used as many as 65 associates to scout games, sources tell Yahoo Sports. While sign-stealing is not against NCAA rules, scouting a future opponent’s game is, as well as using recording devices to document signals. In just his eighth month as commissioner, Petitti has faced internal pressure from league coaches and administrators to take action against the Wolverines before the NCAA investigation has completed. The organization, only in the third week of its investigation, is treating this probe differently, accelerating matters as well as sharing information with the conference. -
I am not sure Nortwestern belongs at the bottom with Big 10 wins over Minnesota and Maryland. Even though the Iowa game was ugly, they could have pulled that out. Guess IU has played better the last 2 weeks, but not sure they deserve to be out of the cellar with their first Big 10 win in awhile.
