Final week of regular season already.
Alexandria at Frankton ©, 7 pm
Game of the night. Both teams on losing streaks after playin the top teams in the conference back to back and Frankton losing a nail biter to MG. Both trying to get the win and the momentum heading into Sectionals. Alex get s the win by a TD.
Blackford at Oak Hill ©, 7 pmOak Hill running clock
Elwood at Mississinewa ©, 7 pmOle Miss, Running Clock
Madison-Grant at Eastbrook ©, 7 pmEastbrook, running clock and Grant 4 champs
Good luck to all teams, stay healthy and injury free!

Eastbrook at Elwood ©, 7 pm
Eastbrook by as much as they want. Running clock to start the game would keep this to a 5 touchdown win....
Frankton at Madison-Grant ©, 7 pmBest game of the night. M-G by a Touchdown
Mississinewa at Blackford ©, 7 pmHopefully Blackford is back to healthy. Ole Miss by 6, touchdowns...
Oak Hill at Alexandria ©, 7 pm
Let Turanchick eat, he will beat Alex by himself, probably another 5 TD night to add to his 21 already.
Also, an FYI to lasts weeks hopeful game of Harrison v Eastbrook:
Harrison did reach out, Eastbrook declined due to nursing injuries. Not that any injuries would change the outcome against Elwood this week, just hoping that the extra week allowed everybody to get as close to 100% as they could. The exact response is in the "cancelled games topic" at the top of the listings.
Another Eastbrook tidbit, video has emerged of the Field goal kicker hitting a 60 yarder in practice. No pads, no defense, still pretty impressive.
Have a great week and hope everybody stays healthy and injury free. Good luck to all teams on Friday.

Missed opportunity for Harrison and Eastbrook to play each other, would have been a good game. Hammond Central is terrible, Harrison will win by 50+.
Harrison plays Hammond Central in week 8. Harrison is still looking for week 7(tomorrow) game as far as I know.

Eastbrook vs Blackford game has been canceled due to Blackford having kids out
Just saw that also.... Harrison Lafayette is looking. AP 5A #5 vs 2A #2. That could sell some tickets, but getting a game plan together that quick would be interesting.

Blackford unable to play Tomorrow night. 2A #2 Eastbrook looking for opponent.

Still 2 years out from really being a contender.
Agree with this. I was at the Eastbrook v Frankton game and we talked about how many Sophmores were on this team and getting a lot of playing time. If they are able to keep everybody together for the next couple years I could for sure see this team be in the top half of the conference again.

Eastbrook at Blackford ©, 7 pm
Eastbrook, 2nd string playing in the 2nd Quarter. Running clock streak continues.
Elwood at Madison-Grant ©, 7 pmM-G big. Hopefully a barn burner like last season, but don't see that happening.
Mississinewa at Alexandria ©, 7 pmOle Miss backfield may break records this game.
Oak Hill at Frankton ©, 7 pmOak Hill by a lot. OH fans, wear hats and sunglasses, if the suns out you can't see the field until halftime.
Looks like everything is pretty much coming to fruition as to what was being forecasted in the preseason. Hope all teams are healthy and injury free this week!

I'm just trying to figure out when Eastbrook will have all their players back. An Eastbrook fan said they would be shorthanded last week. I don't know all the details and I have no authority to "prosecute" anyone. I think if Eastbrook has all their players, this game will end up with a running clock. If not, maybe Alexandria can pull the upset.
The only "punishment" that we are talking about is the public punishment that we see as fans, missing a game. There could be several levels of "punishment" to the players\students involved that we don't see or hear about, i.e., community work, fixing whatever they had done, formal apologies to whomever may have been affected by their actions, list can go on and on. I'm sure the coaching staff took this seriously as I'm sure the school itself did as well. Just because they may be back on the field this week does not mean that the repercussions for their actions have ended.
As far as being at full strength, guess we'll find out tomorrow night. Running clock either way. Streak continues.

Alexandria at Eastbrook
Homecoming for the Panthers, players will be hyped up and the cow bells will be all shined up ready for the big night. Too bad Alex will be the 3rd wheel this night. Alex has put up big points in every game, don't see that happening against the defense of the Panthers. Running clock streak extended...
Blackford at ElwoodMight be the closest game of the night. Going with Blackford by 10.
Frankton at MississinewaOle Miss offense seems to be coming together, will get out of hand quickly. Ole Miss by as much as they want.
Madison-Grant at Oak HillCounty rivals, Oak Hill wins easily.

Our Eastbrook kicker made a 50 yard field goal tonight. I know it’s probably not a state record but might definitely be a school record. Does anyone know the state record for longest field goal?
Believe the School record is 52. They ribbed the running back when they centered the ball because he was supposed to lose 3 yards to be able to go for the school record. Kid had plenty of leg left for the 53 or more, straight and true. And 0 wind. Hopefully he gets that opportunity this season.

This has the makings of the 2016 game. The pass goes off the finger tip of the Frankton receiver in the end zone, as the horn sounds. Eastbrook won 24-20
Don't see that happening, but, that's why they play the game. Still a running clock to finish this game out.

Eastbrook vs. Frankton
When was the last time these two met when both were #1 in the CIC?
Looks like 2009, both teams were 1-0. Eastbrook won 55-6.

Might be a pretty good game as Eastbrook will be without a handful of starters
Care to elaborate? Injury or illness?

Friday, Sep. 17
Blackford at Madison-Grant ©, 7 pmWill probably be a close game, Blackford able to put up 28 on Alex and M-G looking to get their first conference win this season. I'll take Blackford in a shoot out and breaking the 8 game losing streak.
Eastbrook at Frankton ©, 7 pm
"Battle" for first place in the conference! Frankton still getting their bearings with the new coach, Eastbrook battling to keep the tradition of a running clock this season... Clock will be running early again this week. Eastbrook by a lot.
Elwood at Alexandria ©, 7 pm
Alex riding high after a close game with Blackford, Elwood still trying to fond some offense. Alex Big.
Mississinewa at Oak Hill ©, 7 pm
Ole Miss finally getting in the win column and Oak Hill reeling from getting shut down last week should make this a good game. Think this will come down to a turn over battle. Oak Hill will be trying to prove they should be the 2nd place team in the CIC and get their offense back on the rails will pull this out in dramatic fashion.
As always be safe and stay heathy!

Is Ole Miss as bad as the score with Eastbrook indicates, or is Eastbrook that good? What has happened the last couple years at Ole Miss? Looked like they had a good 6-7 year stretch going , are they down talent wise?
I believe that their QB1 tore his ACL between week 1 and week 3, he was at the game on crutches and wearing a knee brace. You could tell that the Sophmore QB2 was still getting his bearings with the offense. They have weapons on offense, but the Eastbrook defense was able to shut them down and cause some turnovers. I think they could be the #3 team still in the CIC.

Madison-Grant vs. Mississinewa ©, 10 am, Ball State
Alexandria vs. Blackford ©, 1 pm, Ball State
Frankton vs. Elwood ©, 4 pm, Ball State
Oak Hill vs. Eastbrook ©, 7 pm, Ball StateHoping all 8 teams get to participate this Saturday at Ball State!!!
Ole Miss by a lot. Panthers shut them down this week, but another week of practice with a new QB will help them get their first win of the season.
Alex hungry to hopefully get to play this week, were they able to practice at all during the virtual learning period? Still get the win either way.
Frankton with an easy win, Elwood still trying to find an offense.
Game of the night. Battle of the Undefeated!!! Can Eastbrook shut down Turanchick, Can Oak Hill slow down the entire Eastbrook offense?
The Panthers were able to subdue the RB's of Ole Miss last week and I see it happening again this week. OH may run for a touchdown, but I don't see several from the same person. Eastbrook takes this by a few touchdowns.
Be safe, stay healthy and see everybody at Ball State Saturday!!!

Elwood at Oak Hill ©, 7 pm Frankton at Blackford ©, 7 pm Madison-Grant at Alexandria ©, 7 pm Mississinewa at Eastbrook ©, 7 pm Elwood at Oak Hill- Looking like Oak Hill will be the contender for the top of the CIC this year. Couple of impressive wins and a RB with 8 TDs already. Taking on a winless\scoreless Elwood team, should be an easy Eagle Victory.
Frankton at Blackford- Who will break the longest losing streaks in the CIC? Taking the Bruins just because of home field...
M-G as Alex- Both teams got in the win column this week, both have momentum. Alex at home and playing a little better competition squeaks out a close game. Should be a good one.
Mississinewa at Eastbrook- Ole Miss well rested or rusty after having to take last week off? Don't think it will matter much either way. Panthers with some turnovers last week may be out to prove they can hold on to the ball this week and with an run and pass threat now, the CIC doesn't stand much of a chance. Panthers by a lot in this rivalry.
Good luck to all teams this week as conference play has begun!!
