Why do they protect the QB in practice, games with illegal hits? Because if a team loses their QB, it it very difficult to recover from. Especially at a smaller school where you don’t have a 100 kids going out for the team.

Well I’ve watched Triton play both Laville and NJ. This game I believe will ultimately come down to if Laville can stop the fullback in its base defense. They can’t do it with their standard 3 man front in my opinion. Triton tried that and failed miserably. If they can stop the dive with a 4 front without having to blitz linebackers, Laville has a shot and probably wins the game. If not Judson win somewhat easily.

NJ fullback is a monster! Especially for a sophomore! Triton attempted to stop the dive play with a 3 front which didn’t work at all and never adjusted the entire game! I’m sur NJ would then begin to feed #40 if you stop # 48 but we never really got to that point. NJ is extremely good on offense and you had better get #89 blocked on defense he is an elite pass rusher.

Culver 35-7 Laville 42-7 Knox 28-14 West Central 21-10 Some commentary on Triton/ NJ game i think NJ is the slight favorite and they are at home where they are very good! If you gave me a choice between a shared conference title and a Sectional title, it’s a no brainer! When you have teams that are similar in ability, it is extremely hard to win twice in one season! so I’m picking NJ 21-17 Friday night with hopes that Triton will get them at home in sectional final and win that close game.

The MOST important thing for Triton is when they get on that bus to come home from Judson is, the belief that they can beat them if they meet again the Sectional!

So Triton won by 23 you predicted them to lose by 16. You were only off by 39 points!

Fine Print, wondering what the prediction was on that site for the Triton/Bremen game? Harrell had Bremen as a 11 point favorite as well.

Apparently the sagarin ratings did not believe the 35-12 win Triton had over Pioneer meant anything. Dropped from 5th to 9th in 1a. Trust me the Triton fans loved it! Had never beaten Pioneer before this year!
