  1. Snider has excellent speed at receiver and all over the defense so while you may say that running back speed isn’t great, team speed is certainly in Snider’s favor against Elkhart. We shall see
  2. Not really, people want to jump in and protect QB Jackson for what? His bad play? Look, I want IU to win as much anyone and have waited 50+ years for it, but Jackson ain’t that guy. Anyone that watches football knows it. If IU was their usual bottom dweller self, nobody would care if Jackson was bad, but these are new days for IU. Rourke is legit, can read a defense, and makes good decisions with the football. IU better hope that Rourke stays healthy or else that train is stuck
  3. I see you ignored my statement in regards to your support of Center Grove and your bias thereof. Use Cig’s famous quote of google me and watch his multiple interviews following the Washington game including his on field interview with the Big 10 network and his press conference and then tell me what he said. As far as the 5th start baloney, who cares? My original statement has nothing to do with that. Like many others, the trepidation of Jackson having to play for a top 10, Hell, top 5 team in the country is a worst case scenario for the Hoosiers.
  4. You are watching something different than I did. Very clear what he said
  5. Ok, Snider doesn’t have the speed to beat Elkhart? Pretty sure it won’t be a lack of speed for the Panthers should they lose this game. Guess I want to know what games you have seen from both teams to make that analysis
  6. Not an unfair or inaccurate statement at all. You make your claim with a bias towards Jackson as he was a Center Grove player and that is your team. I make my statement based on facts. Jackson was not good last year, period. He did not look good on Saturday either. Cignetti in the postgame interview said it as well. When asked why IU only threw the ball 5 times in the 2nd half, he said poor QB play was the culprit. My statement was that Jackson is not a top ten team QB and I stand on that. Don’t want it to be true at all, but facts are facts. IU goes as far as Rourke takes them. As far as next year, Cignetti will be beating the bushes for another QB1.
  7. Snider 28 - Elkhart 14, I think Elkhart will have a hard time moving the ball on Snider and they are going to need 4 turnovers from Snider to win this game Carroll 56 - Northrop 0, nothing really needs to be said HSE 42 - Homestead 7, Sparty gets blown out to end their year Concord 28 - North Side 21, I think North makes a game out of this and could pull the upset Dwenger 28 - Wayne 16, A month ago I would have said Wayne wins this game, but Dwenger has shown some fight the last month Luers 49 - Jay County 0, Blowout city
  8. Let me put it this way, I was born just before IU’s last Rose Bowl appearance and IU, other than the pandemic year, has not been competitive in the Big 10 so it has been a once in a lifetime experience. Yes, the new scope of college sports has changed to better even the playing field, but still doesn’t change the fact that IU is now a player in the game. I do believe it is sustainable going forward as the money has always been there at IU, just the commitment hasn’t been there
  9. Michigan State is a trap game, Michigan is not. IU will be amped and ready for them as they have beaten Michigan maybe 2 times in 40 years. Pretty sure Rourke will be back for MSU, damn sure he will be back for Michigan
  10. Always nice to see BobRef support the officials regardless of their performance. Just like for teams, crews should move on based on performance, not some old good old boy network that currently exists where performance be damned doesn’t matter. While you’re at it, why don’t you give all the crews that special participation trophy as well. Again, as usual, you look past the fact that poor performance from officials resulted in the wrong team moving on and the football careers of many seniors who won’t get the chance at Friday Night Lights anymore.
  11. We have discussed the pratfalls of Sagarin too much around here. It is worthless, period. Ohio State is ranked ahead of IU based on lifetime achievement only, certainly not based on performance this year. Winning at the Shoe will be a tall task for the Hoosiers for sure, but if Rourke is healthy and ready to go, I like our chances. If it is Jackson, forget about it. This is a special IU team, maybe once in a lifetime type of team. I said early in the year, if Rourke ever got hurt, IU would be in trouble and you saw the QB play today. Not even mediocre. If Jackson starts next week at Michigan State, IU will have a fight on their hands
  12. A few mistakes, I am all about rehabilitation, multiple, big missed calls that end the season and careers for a team and players, that’s harder to not hold accountability. End the season for this crew, lots of teaching and training for next year and try again with better results for all involved
  13. Indiana 31 - Washington 17, another double digit win for the Hoosiers. If Rourke isn’t ready for next week at Michigan State, I am a bit worried. Jackson is not a QB for a top 10 in the country team. IU had to resort to only passing 5 times in the entire 2nd half due to poor QB play by Jackson. Indiana 56 - Nebraska 7 Ohio State 21 - Nebraska 17 Any questions?
  14. Don’t think I am alone in my observation, far from it. I fully expected you to support your fellow officials to the nth degree and you didn’t disappoint. Not everyone is meant to be an official. While you state a “death sentence” isn’t necessary for the officials, it was just that for all of the seniors for Danville who likely will not get to play football again. Again, my first statement was the crew should be done for the year. There has to be consequences for an epic fail by an entire crew.
  15. Not often that I say this as I always believe that players decide games, but this was as poorly an officiated game as I have even seen and that is saying a lot. The whole crew should not be allowed to work another game this year and serious consideration should be given if any of them should be allowed to officiate at the IHSSA level again. I am unbiased on whoever won this game and just looking at the continuous glaring mistakes throughout the game. It was flat out embarrassing for the profession of officials as there are many fine, dedicated, men and women who don the uniform everywhere. Just a travesty…
  16. Mustard, relish, coney sauce, onions, lather it up!!!
  17. The Hot Dogs have been reduced to sausages
  18. Right now, I got Dwenger vs. East Noble for the sectional title, right to change my mind over the next week
  19. Delta 35 - Heritage 14 3rd quarter Garrett 50 - Lakeland 19 late 4th quarter
  20. Dwenger 24 - Columbia City 0 late 4th quarter Garrett 43 - Lakeland 13 late 3rd quarter
  21. Leo 21 - Dekalb 6 Wayne 36 - New Haven 0 East Noble 21 - South Side 0 Delta 28 -Heritage 0 Memorial 20 -Mater Dei 0
  22. Adams Central 28 - Bluffton 0 Garrett 36 - Lakeland 13
  23. Leo 21 - Dekalb 6 Wayne 36 - New Haven 0 East Noble 21 - South Side 0
  24. Dwenger is similar to East Noble who took Columbia City to the woodshed a few weeks ago
  25. Lol!!! Just Dwenger winning this game by double digits…
