You’re better than that Temp. No moral victories for Snider ever. Carroll 29-28 2021 Carroll 28-21 2022 Snider 27-24 2023 Carroll 30-6 2024 Legit D1 QB makes a big difference period. Put Sullivan on Snider and you are talking state title in 2022 & 2023 in 5A and serious contender in 6A in 2024. The QB position is the most impactful position in football and you have a D1 power 5 QB, it makes a huge difference. If Carroll wins over Snider the next 2-3 years without Sullivan carrying them, yeah, then it is a trend.

I would agree with you, but it could just as easily be 3-2 Snider in favor of Snider in the last 5 games. There was a one point loss and another three point loss in there as well. Hard to say that is a trend. I would be with you on this if Carroll was beating Snider by double digits every game

To be fair, you have said for a few years with enrollment where it is that the road thru the North goes thru Carroll and Snider would fall behind. Don’t really think that has happened. You want points in a high school game? CP beat Westfield last year. Guess you are thinking LN is going to represent the South, I am not there yet. Lots of good teams . Much easier to say who will get there in the North I think.

1. Interesting to see if Penn can give a game to mighty Crown Point 2. I think Snider vs. Elkhart is a 50/50 game so Carroll could be playing either. I do think if Snider plays Carroll again it will be closer 3. Westfield easily, Carmel is toast and has serious issues with their program 4. I think this is a toss up, not sure yet who I got 5. Brownsburg or bust, if not this year, when? 6. LN vs. Cathedral in the sectional final? Sign me up!!! 7. Warren Central all day long. Might be worst sectional competitive wise in the entire state 8. That’s what happens when a media guy gets on here and says he “knows” stuff and twists and turns stuff around. CP is great playing the schedule they play, but for people to tout them as a 6A state champion team based on them playing a very mediocre schedule to be kind, is crazy and reeks of that poster as having an agenda. Just because he travels a bit to see games doesn’t mean he has a good pulse on what is going on. Touting MAC recruits as being somewhat equal to Power 5 recruits stinks. I have watched tons of high school football over the years, as I am sure you have, and I have been very accurate in my assessments of different teams, whether in Indy or anywhere else in the state of Indiana. CP is a good team, no doubt, but I have seen many a team from the North at the 6A level have trouble competing when it counts. Snider has generally competed very well with 6A teams over the last 40 years, they are an outlier however. Tell me another North team that has. As much respect as I have for Penn, they have not done well vs. 6A Indy teams. Maybe CP is that team, but they are going to have prove it, earn it, and own it before anyone gives it to them, especially me. As far as Indy bias goes, it is deserved at the 6A level right now. You can’t argue that. Every other level, there should not be an Indy bias as the North has more than held their own over the years. Doesn’t mean that certain posters still try and push that bias, like a couple did a few weeks ago and said the South would be 6-0 vs. the North in state title games this year. BS on that, if someone wants to put some cash on that happening please let me know cause I will gladly take your money as my grandkids would love additional presents because of that generosity.

My good job remark is in response to the schedules of the Indy schools and what record CP might have playing those schedules. CP would not be 8-0 right now, not even close. I think that is an accurate assessment. Other stuff said, I am with you

Ok I guess I am going to take the bait here. I have been the flag bearer for all teams North for years. CP would be a 5-3 team right now if they were playing the schedule that Indy teams are playing. You are very much sounding like Merrillville fan a couple years ago on here stating that with their 45 D1 players, they were unstoppable. We know the end of that story… Been the same story for years in 6A. I want the North to be competitive in 6A, but I need to see it first, I am now part of the show me, not tell me. Time to put up or shut up for CP fans

I think Temp hit the nail on its head with his analysis. Snider would likely be 4-4 against this schedule. Having said that, this is likely the worst Snider team in the last 5-10 years. Carroll probably would be 5-3 with an outside shot at 6-2. Mishawaka probably 2-6

Have New Pal play a Ben Davis schedule and I can guarantee you they wouldn’t be 8-0, probably somewhere around 4-4. I root for the underdog and I am one of the few posters that don’t have that Indy bias in everything I say, but be real now. Ben Davis who is 3-5 right now would be an easy double digit favorite against New Pal and they aren’t even in the top 25 of Temps rankings.

Just a couple observations here: 1. Did Crown Point just supplant Merrillville and their 45 D1 players? Asking for a friend… 2. I root like crazy for a North team to do well in 6A. I hope this is the year 3. Speed kills, CP better have 15 guys with speed or else it won’t matter what you do 4. MAC recruits are not Power 5 recruits. You better have top 10 talent D1 recruits with speed or else read #3 again and again until you get it

Well, the Dwenger game was an ugly win, best thing I can say about it.

I would flip Brownsburg and LN as Brownsburg has played a tougher schedule so far from what I see. Maybe it evens out soon. Starting at #8 is where I see issues. How many of these 4A and 5A teams you really believe are better than HSE, Carroll, Snider, Franklin Central, Fishers, Carmel, and Ben Davis? Yes, you should reward wins, but you still have to be realistic. I see both sides of the story, but I know for example if New PAL and Ben Davis played, I got BD by double digits
