  1. Just a sign of where IU football is now. 3 years ago, not a chance in Hell!!!
  2. I agree with FT, this insane propping up for North Side is tired and old. That school has done crap to deserve being propped. I don’t care if they have 35 D1 players like Merrillville, until they do something in the playoffs, they are paper tigers.
  3. Your list lost all credibility when you put North Side as a top 10 team in the entire state. Hyperbole at its best, criminal at worst. First, you say they could finish anywhere from 2nd to 6th in the SAC and then you have them in top 10 of the state??!! Make it make sense…
  4. My take on North Side, wake me when sectionals start for them. I don’t see them getting out of that sectional.
  5. As always, discipline will be their downfall along with poor line play…
  6. Coach, I didn’t take it personal at all. Having been an Indiana fan all my life, almost 60 years, I know the frustration of losing better than most. Been a Cleveland Indians fans, screw the Guardians nickname, so no World Series in my lifetime. Finally, a huge Cleveland Browns as well Never been to a Super Bowl either. I thumped my chest about IU football in the 10+ years of being in this forum with many negative comments. I get it. My daughter is a Purdue graduate and I have rooted for Purdue, except against IU, for a long time. Purdue had been leaderless for a long time and it will take time to get the ship righted. At some point, they will win a Big 10 game and then another and then another. Maybe it will be this year, maybe not. Boiler up!!!
  7. Those Carroll vs. South, Wayne, and Luers matchups will be over by the 3rd quarter…
  8. Coach, I think you said that last year too…😂
  9. Why bet against that? Nostalgia? South and Wayne are competitive in what sports besides boys basketball? One of the problems with the SAC currently is a huge disparity amongst teams.
  10. And most likely will go winless in the Big 10 again…
  11. Hopeful that this is the beginning of a domino effect for the SAC. Wayne and South Side should be next
  12. Is there a more unlikable coach than Kiffin? I think not…
  13. Been hearing that from Irish fans since 1991… just sayin
  14. Teams are making the decision that beating inferior teams means nothing are deciding to challenge themselves. Good decision.
  15. Look at their history 23, what playoff success has Northrop ever had? Don’t think they have ever won a regional title, every other SAC team other than South Side has won sectionals, regionals, and at least gotten to semi-state, most have won state titles.
  16. Eh, Texas vs. Ohio State is a big game this year and there are several other marquee matchups to go with it that are non-conference games. Indiana has adapted the SEC theory of a soft non-conference schedule for the next few years, Penn State, Michigan, Oregon play nobody as well. The bigger the playoff field, the more marquee non-conference games we will see
  17. Not for power 4 teams playing each, but for Notre Dame being able to schedule upper tier power 4 teams. ND will always be able to schedule lower tier teams like Purdue, Michigan State, Boston College, etc… but why would upper tier teams schedule an independent? Proof will be in the pudding.
  18. Conference championship games have always been a bad idea, they were only done for the almighty dollar. I believe 16 teams is the right amount, but I can live with 24 teams as that would be the trade off dollar wise to get rid of the conference championship games. No way they get rid of those title games without replacing the revenue
  19. Warsaw or even possibly North Side, who despite the lack of discipline around their program, has accomplished much more than Northrop ever has. Put it this way, Northrop is on the level of South Side as far as wins and losses over the years. Every other SAC team has had state titles or st least deep runs into the postseason.
  20. What tradition does Northrop football have? Zero. They have been a laughingstock of the SAC for 50 years. Hell, they have been better known as Snider’s home field at Spuller Stadium than for anything they have ever done at their OWN stadium.
  21. Northrop sucks. 23, you are basing this off one year. They need to put together 5 years of good play to even be mentioned
