They probably would have won without cheating, that's the sad part in all this. At least we all know now what I've speculated all along. Harbaugh is another Pete Carroll. Get my championship by any means necessary and get the hell out while leaving the program I was paid millions to run in shambles.
I'm a regional fan. I watch Notre Dame, Big Ten, and interconference games between the Big Ten, SEC, and ACC. Very little interest outside of that. Maybe some games between Georgia, Alabama, and LSU.
It's not about that, it just has no appeal to some. I see neither of these teams as a contender to win the whole thing. For me, it's just a bowl game and nothing more.
I see it now. Notre Dame/Miami #8. Notre Dame/A&M #34. That's fine. I won't debate the facts. I just have no interest in the first round. Might catch bits and pieces of Miami/A&M, but that's it.
Great start to the playoff. Two teams that would be Vegas underdogs to a team that wasn't even invited. Doesn't present quite the same excitement as last year's opening game.
Nah, that was just me being authentic. I'm certainly not perfect. If dropping an F bomb and calling someone a couple of names is the worst thing I've done over the past two weeks, then I'm not doing to bad. I'll give me a B+.
I've been pulled over 15 times for speeding with about 8 tickets. I run through at least three stop signs per day. What's your point?
Terrible human being who made sure all his players went to class, graduated, and ran a squeaky clean program. The guy has a bit of a temper and you get your panties in a wad?
Gonna play the devil's advocate here. From what I understand the relationship with the undergrad student occurred while he was separated from his wife? Can't say that's the end of the world kind of stuff. Gotta be careful though when you're in the limelight that being a head college football coach puts you in. That's something a CEO at a Fortune 500 company can get away with, not a head football coach at a D1 college.
Signs of a stable program. I think it helps that kids still come to the university with the intention of getting a degree, which I'm not sure is the case for many 4 & 5 star athletes at some of the other programs.
Teams that receive bye last season went 0-4. Does that concern IU fans? It's been a long break and first round teams get a tune up game. Huge disadvantage in my opinion.
Good for him, but disappointing for the fans. He would have been a Heisman frontrunner as ND's RB1 next season. I was looking forward to him next year as ND's featured back.
What in the hell are you even talking about? Did you not ask me the other day if I think before I post? You're just trying to lure me in again, right? Seems to be your obsession. Here, I'll put it nicely so you don't get your feelings hurt again:
I'd rather take a job a Michigan not knowing who the AD is going to be versus taking a job at LSU knowing exactly who the administration and the governor are.
Happy? Or are you going to somehow spin it that I'm slinging dirt onto Michigan? Michigan has enough problems, no point in me piling onto the mountain of crap that's already there. Trust me, I don't care half as much about Michigan as you do Notre Dame.
Not a big fan of the NFL, but I do follow the Steelers. They look like a complete different team since the talk of them parting ways with Tomlin. I don't know anything about Miami to speak intelligently on their playing habits.
As far as coaching goes, Cignetti appears to be on an island of his own. Then a guy like Urban Meyer calls IU the most fundamentally sound team he's ever seen. I think IU is here for the long haul.
