  1. Personally, I think Harbaugh is a devious slime ball when it comes to winning. Probably a great person otherwise. Probably a fun guy to have a beer with. Probably gives back to the community. I'm neither here nor there on the cheating scandal, I'm just glad the SEC didn't win the championship that year. Now, the guy driving around the Indiana lake blaring the Michigan fight song donning the university flag at the back of his boat? I really wish I had a rocket launcher. Night guys, gonna put on my pajamas and go to bed. Notre Dame top, Indiana bottoms.
  2. You know the answer already. Where are you going with this?
  3. You mean like Notre Dame forfeiting 21 games because four smart kids had tutors doing their work for them? That's a vendetta against the Irish.
  4. Thanks, looking forward to it.
  5. I'll use George Forman's line. If Northrop beats Carroll, then cows lay eggs.
  6. That's really the only way a school that size can compete with 6A teams. I think it would be hard for a school of 1500 to match 22 players up against the mega schools. Most teams that play the two way players gas out by the end, which is why most coaches don't do it. Somehow Ralph gets his 2-way guys to play four quarters. It's impressive. Will there be a free link to the game?
  7. Will the game be televised?
  8. I'm sure Woodward was under pressure to fire Kelly. He would have had a mob at the front door of his home had he kept him. I think these universities jump the gun and I'm looking forward to seeing who LSU and Penn State hire and how that coach might be better than what they already had. This whole thing is turning into a clown Show. Early on in Kelly's career at ND, he took the Irish to the national title game. Early on at LSU, the took the Tigers to the SEC championship. A few years later Kelly had a year at ND that was way worse than this year at LSU. He followed it up with several 10 win seasons after making off season adjustments. That could have been LSU in my opinion.
  9. Who wouldn't have hired Fisher and Kelly at the time? Hindsight is 20/20. If you look at Woodward's overall hires during his time, he's done a pretty good job. This is all about football. You're basically playing the lottery when hiring a coach. Success at West Virginia doesn't equate to success at Michigan. Success at a mid-major doesn't equate to success at a Power 4. You're playing roulette when making these hires. Every AD in America, especially those in the "entitled" SEC, are one gamble away from losing their job. If you don't want to f*** yourself with a buyout, keep the guy you trusted to hire until the contract is up. Jump in and help make other hires within the program. Was it a Kelly thing or an offensive coordinator thing? Fire some lower end guys and right the ship. Kelly had a losing record one year and Notre Dame, then reeled off several 10 win season in a row. Shit happens, move on. "Work with me, not against me."
  10. I get what you're saying, I think you just have to read between the lines. Pretty sure Woodward would have been ousted if he KEPT Kelly. I think the State of Louisiana needs to get a grip on reality. Many fought Kelly since the beginning since he was "from the north." This is a Louisiana thing, they've done it to themselves.
  11. And how is his hire going to turn out any different? Woodward had a history of hiring good coaches who got the job done in other sports. Everyone is bent out of shape over the football program. Woodward didn't do anything anyone else from the State of Louisiana wouldn't have done. I didn't see anyone griping when when he stole Kelly away from Notre Dame four years ago. Every school in the SEC somehow thinks their school is entitled to a coach who is going to win them the title. At the end of the the day, there can only be one. And the trend is the Big Ten. So let the SEC continue to fire coaches every four years to try to secure that "one." DeBoer will be next.
  12. Is it though? I didn't hear the entire press conference, but what I did hear, he seems to really like football.
  13. Lol, what changed? Luers changed. Not as good as they were last year. And last year they only beat Mississinewa by a touchdown. The chances of me being right on this is about 73%. I guess we'll wait and see what happens.
  14. Something tells me he's working on it. I'd love to see Snider drop Warsaw and pick up Penn. I think the Snider/Penn series is good for high school football.
  15. I'll meet you at Acme on Friday. When Mississinewa wins, you can pick up the tab.
  16. Love the loyalty here. When a friend helps you out, never forget. This is arguably the best story in college football.
  17. LSU is in a sad state of affairs if the governor is making the decisions. What's in this guy's background that qualifies him to make athletic decisions on behalf of a university? Lmao.
  18. Well, Luers didn't look so great during the regular season. South Side surely didn't look good during the regular season. If Luers beats Mississinewa, coupled with South Side almost beating East Noble, could we agree that maybe the SAC is stronger than you give it credit for?
  19. South Side almost beating East Noble concerns me a bit. Not sure at this point how much of a game the north will give the south. Maybe the Knights were looking ahead to Dwenger. Mishawaka barely beating Plymouth. I'm feeling Dwenger right now to represent the North. Defense is legit. Only allowed double digits three times this season with the highest point total at 21 against Northrop. Fourteen of those points came in the 4th quarter on short drives off turnovers. Gave up 22 total against Carroll, Homestead, Snider, & Leo. Just an early observation, but maybe it's going to be Dwenger's defense as the best hope for the north.
  20. Is it reasonable to think Pete Riordan is just getting started?
  21. I'll be rooting for Luers, but they're not winning this game. If they do pull it out, coupled with South Side's performance against East Noble, I may have to go on an annoying run on how good the SAC really is this year. You really don't know these things until the tournament.
  22. I don't think anyone votes in their governor to hear his or her sports opinion. Like movies, just do your job and act. Don't wanna hear your political opinion.
  23. Northrop at Carroll - Not sure how Carroll doesn't win this by three touchdowns. I'll say Carroll 45-21. Concord at North Side - Gimmie Concord 38-21 East Noble at Dwenger - I'm starting lean Saints on this one. East Noble barely beating South Side is a really bad look. Let's say Dwenger 24-21 Luers at Mississinewa - Not this year Knights. Mississinewa 24-21
  24. If Cignetti can train up a bunch of kids from James Madison to compete in the Big 10, he can probably do the same with a 3-star kid sitting on the bench. That's all I'm saying. I don't think its as much about the talent at IU as it is the system, the coaching. I feel like all these kids are ready to play. It's a Cignetti thing.
