  1. In all fairness, Dwenger is also better now than they were in Week 1 when they played Roncalli. I wouldn't count out Heritage Hills. Aren't they suppose to be better this year than last? If that's case, I think it's Roncalli who might have their hands full.
  2. "Also irrelevant." Could you really put yourself on national television and tell the audience that Notre Dame is irrelevant?
  3. I'm not sure I'm wrong about that. The difference in the game Friday night was a 99 yard fumble return. That's a 14 point turnaround. Basically the final score. Luers this year and last do look pretty equal. I think I'm basing my evaluation of them on their 9-0 loss to Snider, which may be unfair. Snider showed in their last two games that they're not exactly horrible.
  4. I just noticed that Sagarin has Penn State at #16 despite being 3-6. Sagarin has the top three teams in the country from the Big Ten. CFP has Notre Dame as the highest ranked two loss team and Iowa as the highest ranked three loss team. SEC country is having a mental breakdown right now. Sagarin has Notre Dame at #6, Miami at #10. Sorry ACC fans, it's about how you're playing NOW, not three months ago. Pittsburgh comes in at #23. The ACC just.............well, they suck. If Sagarin is correct, and they probably are, then two of the top six teams in the county are from Indiana. That's gotta piss some people off. Ohio State right next door. The best football in the country being played right in our own backyard.
  5. I did, but to my defense, that Luers/Mississinewa game could have gone either way last week.
  6. It's just a hypothetical. I guess something comes to mind. Is Auburn more relevant than Notre Dame since they had a title in 2010?
  7. Brian Kelly made Notre Dame relevant again after a twelve year absence. He posted seven 10+ win seasons and finished in the Top 10 four times in his ten years there. He was 118-35-2 at D2 Grand Valley State with two national championships. I think you're going to struggle with the "poor leader" argument.
  8. Past 10 seasons: Team A: One national championship. No other ten win seasons. Team B: No championship. Eight ten win seasons. Just so I'm understanding this correctly. By your logic, Team A is more relevant? And stop with the nonsense of mentioning Tennessee and Nebraska in the same breath as Notre Dame. Though you've given the Irish a lot of credit this season, that's just a Notre Dame hater mentality.
  9. Notre Dame: 4th most valuable football program 8th best football program according to Yahoo Sports #4 according to thetoptens.com #11 most beloved according to thequickreport.com #2 program of all time according to themost10.com #4 according program according to pasionfutbol.com #11 most relevant program according to thespun.com (Michigan came in at #20) #3 most winningest program But The Temp says they're not relevant and compares them to Texas Tech? You're very isolated in your opinion. @temptation
  10. C'mon Temp. Say it with me, because there's only one. N.....O.....T.....R.....E D.....A.....M.....E
  11. The whole idea was that if you do at Notre Dame with the resources he had, he could certainly do the same at LSU with the resources they would provide him. All I'm saying is his tenure could have come down to two things. First, maybe the administration at Notre Dame is just better than LSU's when it comes to running a football program. Or second, his luck ran out at LSU and surrounding himself with talented assistants. Unlike Cignetti, Kelly didn't bring his whole staff to LSU. If he did, he'd probably be a championship coach there. It's all relative. Better players at LSU should be able to handle a tougher schedule, right? Pretty sure that was the idea from the beginning.
  12. I like Tom Allen, great guy for sure. Just not someone I'd invest more than $750,000 to run my program is all.
  13. So Brian Kelly can win with a bunch of smart kids, but not so much with a bunch of pure athletes? Is this a Brian Kelly thing? Maybe he had better support from the ND administration than he did at LSU? Or maybe he had better luck at picking his assistants and ND than he did LSU? Just trying to get to the root cause as to why he was successful and ND but not LSU.
  14. Is it just me or are some of the programs jumping the gun in firing guys like Franklin and Kelly? Seems to me like everyone has their panties in a wad now wanting the next Curt Cignetti. Good luck finding that diamond in the rough. Good luck finding that mid major guy who can make noise at the Power 4 level. Good luck to the successful offensive or defensive coordinator at making the jump to head coach. It's a crapshoot. Many of done it and failed. No different than playing a slot machine. Penn State, LSU, and Florida are just as well off going after Kyle Ralph as they are anyone else in this massive crap shoot. Tom Allen? Lmao. Nice guy, but..................
  15. Andrean's better this year though. The Jets will fight to the end, I just don't think it will be enough. Never count a program like that out though.
  16. Probably where Adams Central's season comes to an end. These private schools are hard for the publics to keep up with.
  17. You need help, let me fix it. 1. New Pal - 90% 2. Jeff - 4% 3. East Central - 3% 4. Merrillville - 3 %
  18. I went with 8% for Fishers, but upon further review, I think that's too high. Probably more like 2-4%.
  19. Yeah, I'll never forget it either :(. I think it happened right in front of your stands. Agree, Brownsburg can be beaten. I just think it's unlikely. It won't be by DC. I'm thinking Center Grove or Westfield.
  20. Because of coaching alone. You don't think OSU's highly rated athletes would be the difference?
  21. Notre Dame is a two tier team in my opinion. Tier 1: Ohio State Tier 2: Indiana, A&M, Alabama, Notre Dame, Ole Miss Tier 3: Georgia, Oregon, Tech, Miami, Texas, USC Everyone else
  22. Notre Dame lost to Miami because Carr was mismanaged in his first game. Plain and simple. Neutral field, now, ND wins by 10.
  23. Warren Central is 0-4 versus the top four teams on their schedule losing by an average of 19 points. They're out of contention.
  24. Agree for the most part, maybe a couple of long shots.
  25. Correction: Decatur Central 1% and Westfield 27 % One percent is being generous to DC and WC. Neither of those teams have a chance.
