  1. Bloomington South 26 Castle 6 (5:11, 3rd) South gets their second TD of the 3rd on a TD pass to extend their lead. PAT good.
  2. Bloomington South 19 Castle 6 (start of 3rd) On the first play of the 2nd half, Maveric Thiery scored on a 71 yard run to give South some cushion. PAT good.
  3. Bloomington South 12 Castle 6 (half) South's Maveric Thiery ran for 128 yards in the half to become South's all-time leading rusher, breaking the record of Nick Dunbar set about 21 years ago.
  4. Bloomington South 12 Castle 6 (0:56, 2nd) Just before half, South went on a quick 79 yard drive in under one minute to take the lead. South's kicker missed his second PAT on the night.
  5. Bloomington South 6 Castle 6 (early 2nd) South wasted no time in scoring after Castle got on the board first. RB Maveric Thiery did most of the work on the drive. PAT was no good, as both teams have failed to convert tonight so far. South's drive was 68 yards in 7 plays.
  6. Castle 6 Bloomington South 0 (0:27. 1st) Castle got a good punt return to the South 15 yard line, and was able to punch it in from there. Kick was not good as they never got the ball set for the kick. Both teams have had problems with key penalties, and the footing on the grass field is slippery tonight.
  7. Ben Davis - A rather easy pick IMO. Bloomington South - The intangibles favor Castle in that South has to make the long bus trip, has to play in a hostile environment, and Castle has the revenge factor in place because South thumped them in the season opener. However, South is the better team, and like I said in a previous post, I think Thiery will have a big game and be the difference in the game.
  8. Wow, I didn't realize it had been that far back. I guess I should have said several decades ago.
  9. We can't forget the "Miracle in Paradise" several years ago.
  10. The intangibles favor Castle, but through my biased lenses, I think South is the better team, and Thiery will be the difference in the game.
  11. Castle 28 Bloomington North 21 (final - OT) In overtime, Castle scored on their first possession, and North threw an INT on their possession to end it. Castle hosts Bloomington South for the sectional championship.
  12. Bloomington North 21 Castle 21 (in overtime) Castle missed a 20 yard FG with 1:37 left in regulation, but North turned around a fumbled the ball away at their 35 yard line. Castle got another break when North also got called for a PF. However, Castle again moved into FG range, but missed again to put it in overtime.
  13. Bloomington North 21 Castle 21 (4:51, 4th) North ties the game up with a 57 yard TD pass.
  14. Bloomington South 49 Evansville North 20 (final)
  15. Bloomington South 49 Evansville North 20 (4:00, 4th) Evans. North got a quick TD on an 80 yard pass play to make the score a little more respectable. Conversion failed.
  16. Castle 21 Bloomington North 14 (7:26, 4th) Castle with 21 unanswered points. North mishandled a punt snap which led to a 14 yard punt and a short field for Castle's go ahead TD.
  17. Bloomington South 49 Evansville North 14 (end of 3rd) Evans. North had two more turnovers in the 3rd, which makes them with six turnovers in the game (three picks, three fumbles.)
  18. Bloomington South 49 Evansville North 14 (8:00, 3rd) South's Maveric Thiery scores on a 33 yard run. Running clock in this game.
  19. Bloomington North 14 Castle 14 (4:53, 3rd)
  20. Bloomington South 42 Evansville North 14 (half)
  21. Bloomington South 42 Evansville North 14 (0:58, 2nd) South scores on a 23 yard pass play just before the half. It was a 56 yard drive.
  22. Bloomington South 35 Evansville North 14 (4:00, 2nd) Evans. North fumbles away the kick-off after South's previous score, and South takes advantage by scoring on the first play from scrimmage on a 33 yard TD pass. That was North's fourth turnover of the game.
  23. Bloomington South 28 Evansville North 14 (4:15, 2nd) South's Maveric Thiery scored on a 69 yard TD run.
  24. Bloomington South 21 Evansville North 14 (5:27, 2nd) North scored on a 17-play drive, scoring on a 4th and goal at the 3 yard line.
