  1. I have not once in this thread ever stated it was my business where these athletes attend school. And I will state it again. So now what’s your point?
  2. Your words, So.,,... a professional football coach can’t be loyal.
  3. Strength coach Ballou is being courted by Nick Sabin. Poor Indiana, coaching merry-go-round. maybe he has some loyalty.
  4. You win, LoL.! I'm having a hard time containing myself here.LoL! HA,HA...... Don't tell Nowlin his team got kicked by a mediocre, at best. coach, LoL . my goodness what a laugh.
  5. Is this a fact? I think most of them would play at a smaller school, including, but not limited too, Ball St. and Indiana St. Not necessarily Dll or lower.
  6. You don't get it, this has nothing to do with not allowing these athletes to follow their dreams or enjoy their time in college. It 's about a big time coach luring theses guys with a status that guarantees nothing. Taking them away from possibly enrolling at ISU, Ball State and all the other smaller schools here in the state. If Allen sees so much in these young men, then pony up with the guarantee money.
  7. Do you think all of these guys would go to Indiana if they weren't offered PWO?
  8. Justrules out lined the mediocre state of a lot of smaller schools in Indiana. Fact is Pow hurts Indiana’s smaller schools more than it helps IU. For every 1 of your examples I could name 10,20 maybe 30 that didn’t? but again you have missed the point. Fact is PWO hurts Indiana’s smaller schools more than it helps IU. No error, those schools are probably hurt the worst. Again you don’t get it. Fact, PWO’s hurts Indiana’s smaller schools more than it helps IU.
  9. Nothing personal Oldschool. Just years of observing. PWO is a detriment.
  10. My point, IU benefits little by luring kids with PWO status. The others colleges would benefit greatly across the board, with some of these kids. Sorry Trojan , facts are facts.
  11. PWO status is not needed to accomplish any of this. This is just a tool to lure kids in. Nothing special.
  12. You will be pleasantly Impressed. For those general sports fans, who have never been, this is a bucket list to do. Number 1 high school sporting event in the state. Unmatched in the country, some will profess.
  13. Please, any time he entices these guys and doesn't offer regular scholarships the point is valid. Depriving the smaller schools of very talented players.
  14. I beg to differ, please explain to me how, for example, Spegal, would NOT, make Indiana State, Ball state or other college’s in the state, better. And if you want ,go ahead and “ knock yourself out”
  15. You bet, I’m very concerned with The health of all of the state of Indiana football.. I could care less about what the other states do, common practice doesn’t make it a healthy practice.
  16. This post seems like it really garnered the most up tics. So I will say that if the mighty alluring Big Ten coach thought the guy was the best talent ,then why not pony up the scholarship. Indiana has as many as Ohio State. It’s not so much IU didn’t recruit in state, no one ever said that, but their was mention that they couldn’t get the elite prospects. This PWO route doesn’t address Indiana’s real problem.
  17. I understand , yes, and I was being facetious, but sure ,the big state schools have all the drawing power ,within each respective state, to do exactly as you phrased it.
  18. You may have something Here, Allen might be the catalyst in changing the Big Ten culture.
  19. What are you saying? Indiana’s preferred walk ons will be their starters in 2 years? With what they are bringing in on scholarships , not a crazy scenario.
  20. And the coaching carousel for Indiana continues.
  21. Anybody want to comment on the sub par recruiting of the Hoosiers this year? Bottom of the conference. I’m not feeling it, going into next year. I know Nowlin is loving it. He can keep his comments to himself.
