Their rib eye steak sandwich is worth the trip by itself.   However, throw in a great game as well and it makes a perfect night.

Now see New Pal , and the rest of the remaining venues! This  is exactly what I was talking about with concessions.  You can get people there early .Get people there, who would may not otherwise pick that specific game ,and make more money. I guess I’m headed northbound this Friday.

I would say South has vastly improved since Week 2. I wouldn’t say that’s the reason they stand no chance. New Pal is just far superior in all facets of the game. No shame to South, because New Pal is superior in majority phases of the game than 99% of the teams in Indiana. Just a well oiled machine.

I’m just of the opinion, why not raise NP’s hand? Waste of everybody’s time and effort to continue playing forward. No sense in watching something you know whats going to happen. Anyone with me here? Why even continue with this ridiculous thread?

  3. So....this is going to be good. By the way New Pal has one of the premier football atmospheres I 've  traveled to. Very friendly laid back group of stadium helpers. (The concessions need help) But the reason I'm posting is to let you all in on the Irish team family of fans. Standing  on the visiting team side, I don't like to sit. I was able to, first hand, see how complementary and polite the students and adults where conducting themselves all game long. Impressive also, that they have such a massive group following the team.  You don't know what tailgating is until you see this group. They feed and welcome anyone and every one to join them pre game. Food, my god, enough to feed an army. gratin potatoes, fresh fruit, couple of soups, southwest dip and chips, baked beans, dogs, burgers just to mention some of the offerings And thank goodness, inside the New Pal stadium, Chick-fil-a sandwiches, nothing to write home about, for $5, and oh yea,$1 popcorn that comes in a container about the size of a Cracker Jack box. If anyone ever gets a chance to attend a football game that Cathedral plays in do it. Great group.

IMO, in order for South to win this game, they will need to play a mistake-free game, while getting some key turnovers and timely penalties against New Pal. New Pal is clearly on a different level from other 5A teams this season, and it will take a game like that. Having said that, with the exception of South's game against TH South, South has had a propensity to commit big penalties this season, especially of the 15-yard variety, and they will need to clean that up. They did do that in the 2nd half of the FC game. If they can get Maveric Thiery going and control the clock on the ground, they might have a punchers' chance in this game. Going on the road doesn't help much either, although I think that home field advantage in the sport of football may be a bit overrated.

I think Myron has rode this horse as far as he could possibly take it this year.

Weird, I thought you were going to the Bloomington South vs Floyd Game?

Or is it your way of saying “hey pay attention to the other South Regional game”

So, if you want me to go to your game,Concession offerings is a very important factor for my attendance of these regional games. You have your own personal reasons for the game you are going to attend.I am not concerned about the contests, all will be good. You can't tell me, one will be better than the other, so defining factor is the rib tips, ribeye sandwich, large polish with onions and peppers, etc..... and oh, the popcorn must be fresh. Just a few things that push me to one game or the other.

PBJ - That’s not what I’ve been told.  I’ve heard you spend a lot of time down at Mar-A-Lago hanging out with your buddy playing golf and partying.

No fun down there! His buddy is all business , when he has spare time. You've noticed the unemployment rate, across the board, ages , races? Stock market, still breaking records, and the several flushes in the capitol and several more to come in the next five years, big water closet in that area .I think Loogootee might be a lot more to his liking for fun.

So what is typical procedure for team when they have to travel over 2 hours away? Leave at noon/1:00  so they can arrive 3-4 hours before and unload, suit up and practice/warm up? Just wondering.

No No NO, leave at noon, swing into Hooters at 1-1:30. Get some wings , oysters and enjoy the scenery, just as long as you get to the field an hour before kick off, you've got it made.
