A few team could go deep into the tournament this year. And a few will knock each other out early, also.
-
We would be remiss not to add a third ,MD, to the list of Big Dogs, that went south.
-
Good questions, I am also curious as to the reason, or is this just temporary til the big two get back on their feet. Although North and Central are good, I don’t know how deep they can go in the tournament.
-
Every week is a tough out in the SAC this year. Its been a while , with this kind of competition. A few teams have a chance to go deep in the state tournament.
-
This seems to be a year for the record books, for the Irish.

After winning a regional title last season Dwenger is already guaranteed to at least stay up in class 5A for the next two year cycle. If they happen to win state this year they would move up to class 6A, though I don’t see them beating Cathedral.
Cathedral is very good, don’t underestimate Bishop Dwenger.

Brownsburg is down to Cincinnati St. X 17-3 at halftime.
Wow , what a game. Xavier was ahead at the 4 min. mark in the 4th. 24-17. Brownsburg never lead until OT. 30-24 final. Good representation on ESPN2.

It happens, but that’s what you get. Head coach is in charge.

Heaven forbid more young people get an opportunity to be on a college football
Do you really think that if they weren’t offered a PWO , they wouldn’t play college football?

at the end of the day, it is up to the individual student athlete and their family.
Ok, this is it. And I know it was not intentional (so only 75%)
From this post, several posters on here, Over and over, insinuated that some how I am telling these families where to attend or not to attend.False

So, he’s doing exactly what he’s supposed to be doing. What’s the problem?
Edit: for those just reading this post, the “your” in southend’s quoted post
is not only grammatically incorrect, but also refers to @Coach Nowlin, not me.😂
Ok you got me. Spell check got me Same answer, I absolutely think it’s to make his team better. I answered your question again!
so ..,,,..! -

You failed to answer the question: if giving someone PWO status isn’t designed to make the team better, then why is he doing it?
I absolutely think it’s to make his team better.
so .......ok......o answered your question.2 hours ago, Coach Nowlin said:this whole conversation has been a true off season gem!! Classic GID

His sole intent is to make sure Ball State, ISU and others remain unsuccessful!
I don’t think so, but I sure doesn’t help , luring indiana kids in with POW’s

So, if it’s not to make the team better, why is Coach Allen doing it?
I think you are wrong, POW won’t make or Break the IU program.

If you have been through the process, you would know that a Preferred Walk-On and and Recruited Walk-On are the samething.
Not from where I have seen.
PWO, guaranteed roster spotRecruited walk on, received recruiting interest, but have to try out, to win a roster spot.
-
I’m Not misguided, you are, if you insist PWO is the only way That is your contention, not mine. As I stated.

Explain to me logically if a coach doesn’t extend a walk-in invite how a player walks on....Do you think anyone can just show up, get issued equipment and hit the practice field?
If you have been through the process, you would not be asking me this.
Unrecruited walk onRecruited walk on
preferred walk on

Q. What do they call a coach who advances the interests of “the health of football over all“ before those of his own program?
A. “Unemployed”
LOL...,,,,if you think offering or not offering a PWO is going to make or break a Dl program he’s (the coach)already on his way out. LOL..

Not very many coaches are going to be loyal to a bottom-half Big Ten program when Alabama shows interest.

Agreed, it’s been happening since Wilson took over. At least thePositive of all this is we know all the lost assistants Wilson and Allen lost we’re giving Indiana at least a year of there expertises. And they must be good to get the attention of top echelon programs. Purdue doesn’t have this problem.

If Allen doesn't offer those positions, those opportunities aren't available for those young men.
And you are wrong again. The opportunity to walk on is still there.
I have never once in this thread stated it was my business where these athletes attend school. -

You realize there are a finite number of scholarships, right?
Allen has one job, and that is to win games for IU. If he thinks expanding his PWO program will help, then he absolutely should do it. He has no obligation whatsoever to “Indiana small college football.”
Sure, scholarship caps.
Point taken, PWO’s help persuade athletes from going to less fortunate schools, including but not limited to the smaller Dl schools.
Completely disagreed, big time coaches have an obligation to the health of football over all. Including small colleges and schools , not just the upper echelon, elite.

You are now arguing for the sake of. Your Entire argument is based on kids are only going to Indiana because they have a PWO and this is hurting small schools.
And now you ask me how do I know they won’t play football at Indiana without a PWO. Well if they decided they still wanted to tryout when they arrived at Indiana in the fall, they obviously would not be playing at the smaller schools. Therefore Coach Allen is not at fault for the sudden catastrophic decline in Indiana Small College football. . CONGRATULATIONS!!! You’ve just won the argument..... with yourself.Ok, what ever he said.
2020 Center Grove might be Indiana's all time best

Maybe the state of Indiana has a case of a team CG ,that out shines a mediocre rest of the 6a class. As with the 5a class.
