  1. Should be interesting to see how this thing shakes out. Bama, as they most always do, rise to the occasion and find their way into the CFP. I expect Clemson there as well, but then that’s where it gets interesting. Penn State or Ohio State, maybe both, but it all depends on how their game goes. I’m not really feeling Baylor nor Minnesota, which could open a door for Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, or even Oregon.
  2. I saw Andrean and am not surprised with the outcome. BG will have their day, though.
  3. Well, at least I hope so. But as David Bell said yesterday, “we’re in playoff mode now”. Additionally, Google Drew Brees’ pep talk yesterday. If that doesn’t resonate with you, why even play?
  4. Jack Plummer is most likely done for the year.
  5. Dartmouth is still undefeated, not too bad for an Ivy League school. They’re FCS, though so they will not be playing in the glut of bowl games we know and love.
  6. Apparently you guys haven’t been to places like Texas, Nevada, and Wyoming.
  7. I still contend Andrean over Boone Grove was not an upset. Andrean plays in a much tougher conference and were much more physical. I still like BG, don’t get me wrong, but this was not an upset. The Rensselaer game will be epic.
  8. Good win today, my trip to Madison in a few weeks takes on a new significance!
  9. A score NOT from the Region: West Lafayette 34, Guerin Catholic, 31 Final Already posted, I know...
  10. Lowell 48, Griffith 14 Rensselaer 28, North Newton 6 Andrean 20, Boone Grove 0 Lafayette Jeff 14, Merrillville 14 all 3rd
  11. Getting Ugly: Valpo 49, Munster 0 Hobart 28, Highland 0 Lowell 41, Griffith 14 all at or near recess
  12. Lowell 27, Griffith 14 Andrean 14, Boone Grove 0 both in second quarter The correspondents from Lakeshore Game Night picked Andrean largely due to their respective conference affiliation (Andrean, NCC BG, Greater South Shore) which mirrors that of Lowell and Griffith
  13. 6A CP & LC tied at 7, Merrillville up on Jeff by 1 5A Valpo having no trouble with Munster 4A Hobart beating the snot out of Highland
  14. Of course you do: contraction (the logical explanation for mediocrity from a certain poster who shall remain nameless).
  15. I agree with your last point 100%! But again, that’s a tough one. Many people want competitive balance and similar Marxist outcomes. Here’s my balance: one winner, one loser.
  16. Very slippery slope here. With regard to the kids who don't score often who suddenly find them themselves thrust into that position: sure they want to take advantage and do well (human nature), it must be hard for them to go out and just fall over.
