  1. I’m a little confused. How is it broken? I think it’s great. Merrillville beat the #2 team in the state. Hopefully the upset trend will continue and give my “not everyone gets a trophy” edict a run for its money...
  2. Exactly! All they can do is help. I’d rather have a well-seasoned coach and hungry players any day of the week.
  3. About 3 million students go to Carmel, yet they can only field 11 at a time. Half as many attend Center Grove, but yet only 11 are permitted on the field at a time. The same does for Adams Central, Batesville, Delta, Elwood, Floyd Central, Gary West, Homestead, Indianapolis (too many too mention😉), Jasper, Kokomo, Lawrence Central, Monroe Central, North Knox, Oregon-Davis (if they had a football team) Penn, Reitz, Southport, Terre Haute North (and South), Union County, Valparaiso, Warren Central, and Zionsville.
  4. 6 classes are enough. I know I’ve said this before, but I have seen no compelling argument to make a change. I think the “get better” approach is the way to do things. Everybody should not get a trophy, the ones that work the hardest should.
  5. It seems like the goal posts are being moved. A separate class was created for the largest schools in the state and it should remain that way, not everybody gets a trophy...
  6. It's more like a call for another class, a 7A, if you will. Newsflash: there's no such thing as a perfect system, there will always be outliers....
  7. So do I!!! I'm much more of a bean counter, I regard my position as Mission Control.
  8. We need both teams, OSU is among the best, kicking them out would be crazy. And the Terps? Pretty good in lacrosse as well...
  9. If the NCC does expand, I think Griffith will be asked back as well as Hanover and Wheeler. Potentially Boone Grove and Knox, I’m just hoping against a superconference.
  10. They looked as big as Buicks!!!!
  11. Camp Randall is and excellent stadium, just as the Badgers are equally excellent. Although Wisconsin did turn the ball over 4 times, it didn't matter much, they were just too powerful: Jonathan Taylor is a very good football player.
  12. Another stinker out west. BTW, the Super Bowl is in Miami...
  13. Headed up there this weekend, off the cuff prediction: 47-20 BOILERS. You heard it here first.
  14. Let. Contraction. Commence. Especially at South Newton, the Rebel-flag losing weirdos...
  15. I think it will come down to who scores the most points.
  16. The Catholics are in town? This is football, not the Crusades, paisan... Then again, beat your chest all you want.
  17. AR-12 > 49ers D, Packers 31-20
  18. Very big matchup. I know very little about the Niners, what’s their secret? Good defense? I doubt it could be Tom Brady’s backup...
  19. TV markets, paisan. DC and NYC are much bigger than South Bend and Des Moines.
  20. The words "Regional bias" have been tossed around on other threads. Hey, the Region teams that have survived are that good. Although I'm sure Estabrook will provide a test, Andrean will ultimately prove to be too much.
