Not a clue on either. Boeke especially with the offers he has on the table. Illinois state would be intriguing for Boeke, but I think he will wait out the season to announce. on Hayden, I haven’t heard much.

Harlen Summers commits to Illinois State.

That is his 7th. And I don’t see them slowing down anytime soon.

Boeke from Reitz has now picked up an offer from Colgate.

Boeke has received offers from both Illinois State and Indiana State.

I don’t know. I do see it like this though: Reitz 9-0 Castle 7-2 Lincoln 7-2 Memorial 6-3 Jasper 5-4 North 4-5 MD 3-6 (shocker) Harrison 3-6 Bosse 1-8 Central 0-9 I know, shocker on MD, but watching their up and comers, they will have to rely heavily on sophomores this year. We all know that is a pretty bad recipe in this conference. But that would make them a quick riser next year.

There was in the south a few years ago now. The Big 8 disbanded with Jasper and Vincennes Lincoln joining the SIAC, and the rest of the Big 8 schools joining the PAC. But the movement we are seeing in the Indy and farther north area is something we aren’t too familiar with down here.

This is what makes Reitz, MD, and Memorial unique. A lot of the same names go through those doors. People I went to school with over 30 years ago have kids in school there now. There isn’t that “flavor of the week” vibe

I have said for years that when North has great skill players, the line is always lacking, and when their line is great, they seem to be short the skill players. I see it that way again this year, as they lost most of their offensive production from last year if memory serves me correctly. (Getting old sucks)

I know there was a big uproar between the person running it and the Byers family. I know there was a resolution to it, but I don’t know what that was. I believed they could still run it, but maybe not.

I’m one of those posters from back in the day. And will say, Reitz should make a run this season. thing that I will say about the next tier is this. Look at who plays where. Lincoln played most of their games from those tiers at home (Reitz, MD, North, Memorial). This year they play them all on the road, with a game at Harrison between North and Memorial (ask Jasper about playing there). Truth is, Lincoln could quickly fade into the bottoms of the conference if they can’t figure out winning on the road against quality opponents.
