  1. Lot's of bumping going on out there. I was thinking the same thing.
  2. The eastern edge of Huntington is 17 miles from the SW edge of Fort Wayne. Webo is considered Indy Metro just as Huntington is considered Fort Wayne Metro. What do people in Huntington do on Friday and Saturday nights? They go to Fort Wayne. Definitely Fort Wayne area in my opinion. At the end of the day, Huntington is proud of their community and don't identify with a larger city. Same for Thornstown. But they are both a part of the larger Metro's..............statistically speaking.
  3. Lol, like I said in an earlier post. They were bored to tears that game. Eighty percent of the high school community up here in Fort Wayne still look at records. That 0-9 Noblesville team hit Homestead like a ton of bricks.
  4. Homestead actually needs to beat a team from Indy. Until they do, they'll always go into those games with "hope." It's a mindset.
  5. Need two separate sentences here: Snider, Penn, Valpo, & Merrillville = best of the rest Homestead, Carroll, Warsaw, & Elkhart = potential to be next man up Snider could have rumbled with anyone in Indy back in 15'. In 17' they self destructed and gave the game to Carmel. Snider will rise from the ashes over the next three years.
  6. I'll take your word for. I'm really in no position to debate that. Much respect for the Cathedral program.
  7. That's the thing, Eric Moore is doing something the other's aren't. I won't compare him to what Tippmann/Isaacs are doing at Snider since we are talking 1800, but he's definitely doing something that other schools with 2200 plus aren't doing.
  8. So the team that ran the table in Ohio and was VERY close to beating what some call the best of all time, isn't Cathedral's best team ever?
  9. I'm glad you asked. Snider, Homestead, and Carroll need to schedule at least one game every year with the region, and one game with Indianapolis. Maybe take away the Region and schedule two games against Indianapolis. If you never get to play the standard, you'll never reach the standard.
  10. Center Grove's best team ever. Cathedral's best team ever. Westfield is the real deal. Great season for all three programs.
  11. Agree. I would put them on a level playing field.
  12. Average Carmel, BD, and WC teams don't get beat by 25. Outside of Center Grove, 6A stunk this year. I'm all for putting CG up there with the all time best, but 6A stunk by their normal standard...........I feel that is more fact than opinion. And because 6A stunk, I'm not ready to crown thisCG team as the best of all time like some others have. Just mentioning them in the same sentence as the great teams of WC and BD is one heck of a compliment.
  13. Concordia took Chatard to the wire...........does that make them better than Roncalli?
  14. Why is that all that matters? Someone from Fort Wayne, South Bend, or The Region would get crucified for making that statement.
  15. Agree. Offensively? No way. But they say defense wins championships.
  16. Really? This CG team beats a typical Carmel, WC, or BD by 25? Not sure I'm buying what you're selling.
  17. Nothing fine about 6a this year. Carmel, Ben Davis, and Warren Central were all down. Penn and Snider both had their worst years in recent memory.
  18. If my calculations are correct, Cathedral is one point shy of bumping to 6a (after tomorrow nights victory)?
  19. 6A was way down this year. Most of the traditional powers had below average seasons.
  20. I don't see Zionsville coming within 5 touchdowns.
  21. I thought Westfield would put up a fight after what they did to Homestead and Merrillville. I guess the gap between CG and the North is pretty damn big. Eric Moore is the real deal.
  22. Look, I'm a Catholic myself, but this stockpiling of trophy cases against competition with disadvantages is a joke. I respect the hardnose, work your butt off Catholic mentality as much as anyone, but the the multiplier (or one class bump up) is necessary.
  23. I understand that there are more than a few cornfields that separate Indy from Thornstown. No different than Fort Wayne and Huntington. But that doesn't mean Western Boone isn't considered Indy Metro. I think it's fair for me to call Western Boone an "Indy area" team.
